Chapter twenty three : Reason to fight

 The second round match of the Togu City Tournament, has officially ended. The four winners who have made it through to the next round are Gill who defeated Tatsui, Master Big hit who had defeated Azter, Zhoei who had defeated Ajora, and Dragon who had defeated Bernie Zarr. The winners have the right to advance to the next round, or what we call the semifinals.

 The match between Dragon and Bernie zarr is the closing match of a series held in the second round of the Togu City Tournament. After that the Tournament is paused for 1 hour, so that the participants can rest and recover.

 The break lasts for one hour, then there will be 2 matches that will take place in the semifinals. Namely the battle between Gill against Master Big hit, and the next is the Battle between Zhoei and Dragon.

 (Gill VS M.Big hit) (Zhoei VS Dragon)

 Currently, Dragon and Gill are in a special care room for women, along with Glauss who volunteered to look after Tatsui there, if only later Tatsui woke up and needed something, he would also inform Dragon about all the developments of Tatsui's condition. However, even now, Tatsui still hasn't regained consciousness since she was defeated in the previous battle against Gill.

 Gill and Dragon patiently waited for Tatsui to wake up in the room, while talking to each other.

 "I can't believe you are willing to watch over Tatsui for Dragon's sake." Gill said to Glauss.

 "Just guarding and taking care, right? It's not a troublesome thing. " Said Glauss.

 “That's not what I mean… But, you were already defeated by Dragon, so why are you being kind to us? I became suspicious now." Gill said.

 "I was beaten in a competition, by means of a fair and legitimate decision. I am a respectable knight and not the type of vengeful person who will always have grudge of those who have defeated me ... Besides, I also really admire Dragon, especially after he succeeded in defeating that Plant mage. Whoa. " Glauss said while feeling amazed.

 "But you don't seem impressed with me." Said Gill who felt a little jealous while joking.

 "I've never fought you directly."

 "Then, would you like to try it." Gill said defiantly.

 "Oke then ... When and where?" Glauss agreed.

 "Stop fighting, you two!" Dragon said interrupting the two of them.

 “Grrr !!” Gill and Glauss put their heads close to each other.

 "Hey! You will disturb Tatsui !!" Dragon said.

 Then immediately, Gill and Glauss stopped fighting then they both fell silent while sitting pretty calm. A minute later, Glauss started asking Dragon.

 "Oh yeah Dragon, by the way if i may know, what is your goal in participating on this tournament?"

 "Yes, tell us. Didn't you tell me at that time that you didn't intend to join the Tournament, and only drove for Tatsui? But why now you join it?" Gill asked too.

 Then Dragon answered. "That's because, there is someone I have to meet, and by winning this Tournament, I can meet him."

 "Who is that person? Your brother? Your lover?" They both asked curiously.

 "No ... But the person who killed my teacher."

 "Huh? ... So your goal is so that you can take revenge?" Asked Glauss.

 "Yes, is there a problem?" Dragon replied with a serious face.

 "N- no, it's okay."

 “So you have a grudge against someone? Tell me who is it? " Gill asked Dragon with great curiosity.

 "You don't need to know ... Anyway, in order to meet that person, then I have to be able to win this Tournament first." Dragon replied.

 Then Gill said, "The additional reward that the champions of this Tournament will receive is a banquet at the Palace with the King Velodrian right? ... Is that, a person You're going to take revenge? You will take revenge against the King? !!" Gill asked in a high voice.

 “Don't be like that, you are not alone. If you need help, just tell us. " Gill said.

 "Yes, right. Like you said, even though we are enemies in the arena, but outside the arena, we are friends. And friends are supposed to help each other, right? " Glauss asked Dragon, and was supported by Gill who also nodded to Dragon.

 "Yes, we are friends. But my business is bigger than our relationship, because the stakes are lives. " Dragon said as he stood up from his chair, then left the room. Leaving Glauss and Gill together with Tatsui, who still hasn't woken up there.

 They were silent for a moment when Dragon left the room, then Glauss began to say, "Did I say something wrong?" Glauss asked Gill.

 "No, maybe he's just a little sensitive when it comes to his problem." Gill replied.

 Dragon felt guilty for discussing this with his friends. It was something he shouldn't say at all, because if he was to say what he had to do in the Palace, then the spell stone embedded in his shoulder would react. Likewise, if he told about who the person had sent him and gave him a mission to steal in the Nexus Palace, then the spell stone would surely explode.

 Stellan flaur, an evil sorcerer who can manipulate other people in any way, and likes to make other people become his slaves. Has implanted a spell stone into Dragon's shoulder, and forced Dragon to carry out a very dangerous mission, namely stealing the Aporion ball from the Nexus Palace. Since Flaur needed this item to present it to the members of the Emperors Unity group, he could be officially recognized as the seventh member of the Emperors Unity group.

 But besides that, the Stellan Flaur also offers something quite tantalizing to Dragon. If Dragon manages to bring the Aporion ball to him, then Flaur will tell Dragon where the Night Crow is. Namely the person Dragon is looking for, because he has killed Dragon's teacher.

 Right now, Dragon's inner heart actually wants to tell everything to his friends, and he really wants asking help to other people for the trouble he's going through, but he can't tell it, to Gill, Tatsui, or Glauss. Even to Melinda, he couldn't tell it at all. Even though Melinda was the first friend he made on that journey.

So Dragon is completely alone in the face of that fate, and he will do his best to do what he has to do. Besides that, he also didn't want his friends to get involved into that problem, because if they got involved, then they would also be in considerable danger and risk losing their lives.

 (Gill vs M.Big hit) (Zhoei vs Dragon)

 The time is already 4 in the afternoon. The opening battle in the semifinals of the Togu City Tournament is about to begin. At that time Dragon was standing at the end of the hall while watching the arena where the competition was set. He seemed to be daydreaming about something. Then shortly afterward Gill arrived there and immediately came over to him.

 "Um." Gill opened the conversation with a little clearing his throat, then he continued speaking to Dragon.

 "Forgive me and Glauss for being too curious about your business, huh?"

 "It is okay. I should be the one apologizing. Because I've been overreacting. " Dragon said.

 “Hmm ... Soon the semifinals will begin. Make sure you watch my battle fully huh ... Don't worry about Tatsui. He's fine, there's Glauss taking care of her after all. " Gill said to Dragon.

 "Yes." Dragon replied while nodding.

 Then suddenly someone came behind them. Namely a tall and burly man who is none other than the Master Big Hit. Gill and Dragon were a little surprised when the Master approached them, because he was an opponent that Gill would soon face in the arena. Then a few moments later, the Master spoke to Gill.

 “Boy, are you ready? Let's go." Take the Master Big hit to Gill.

 "Let's go." Gill said as he followed the steps from Master Big hit to the arena.

 Shortly thereafter, the host began to announce that the semifinals of the Togu City Tournament had officially started. There will be two matches held in this round. The first is the battle between Gill against the Master Big hit, and the next is the fight between Zhoei and Dragon. Then after the two participants managed to win and qualify for the next round. Then the two participants will face each other in the final round, which will be held tomorrow.

 The opening match in this semifinal round, will bring together the Master Big Hit and Gill as opponents. And the match between the two of them was something that all spectators both in the stands and at home had been looking forward to, because both of them were the two most favored fighters in the Tournament. So the host immediately called the two of them to go up to the arena of the match. The arrival of the two of them was really greeted with great fanfare by the entire audience. The two of them walked onto the arena bravely, while being overwhelmed by the support of their respective fans, who were very numerous there.
