Chapter three : The Rain Dagger

 Dragon resumed his journey to the Kingdom of Nexus. After previously he had to face the werewolves who inhabited the Forest of death, now he had to face a great distance to go to the location where he would carry out his mission, a mission that was very dangerous was also at high risk, because that mission could not only make it lost his life, but could also make him the most wanted fugitive by a large Kingdom. And the mission is to steal the Aporion Ball from the Kingdom of Nexus.

 Day and night, Dragon continues tirelessly step by step through the hilly terrain and vast grasslands, occasionally he stops to rest or hunts small animals to fill his empty stomach, until he finally enters a forest area again. There Dragon decided to spend the night because it was getting dark.

 In short, Dragon seemed to be sitting pensively, staring at the campfire that he had lit. Then a few moments later, he took his sword, a sword that had been given by his teacher to him. The sword really looks shiny and strong. Dragon admires every shape of the curve, more precisely Dragon admires everything about the sword, because the sword is a weapon that has accompanied his teacher for a long time. And now the sword had changed hands to him, but Dragon felt that he still had no right to accept or use it, so he had never used it to fight until now. He had not yet found the right reason to be able to grasp the sword in a battle.

 Plus his status is now not a soldier, or a warrior. He is just an ordinary person who wants revenge, without any desire to be a hero. That's what made him still feel unworthy to be able to use the sword.

 In the past, when Dragon's body was hit by an arrow then fell into the river, he was carried by a current to a far away distance. Until finally he was found and treated by an old man who lived in a small hut in the forest, who works as a blacksmith. Dragon was very grateful to him, then he stayed with the old man for several days until the wound healed and improved. The old man taught him many things, also gave him valuable advice for Dragon's life.

 Until one day, news began to spread, namely news about the destruction of the Fulcan Kingdom which was the birthplace of Dragon, the place where he grew up with his best friend named Kai, also the place where he served as an honorable soldier. The news about the destruction of the Fulcan Kingdom made Dragon's heart cut into pieces.

 Therefore, Dragon became very eager to take revenge against the Kingdom of Distra for having claimed his Kingdom and had made him lose his true friend. But its pointless, because apparently the Kingdom of Distra was a victim too, from the evil plan of Gold one. Therefore Dragon decided to take revenge on the Gold one, who had become the King of the Kingdom of Distra.

 But fortunately the Dragon's actions were prevented by the old man who lived with him, and he was also advised to be willing to undo his intention to fight the Gold one, because that was a very high risk. Plus, now the Gold one is a king. That means fighting a Gold one is like fighting a Kingdom.

 The old man gave Dragon the best way, he persuaded Dragon to continue living as an ordinary person, away from battle or chaos. "The world is getting crazy every day, and if Dragon wants to fight the world, then he must be even crazier." But that is not the best choice for now. Approximately that was some of the sentences that the old man had told him. Therefore Dragon finally decided to call him teacher. Long story short, then Dragon lived with his teacher as an ordinary person, who made a living from making and selling iron tools. At that time the two of them were known as two blacksmiths teacher and student, who toured and peddled their wares to small towns around the area that had once belonged to the Fulcan Kingdom.

 Although all of that did not last long, because the peaceful life that was being lived by Dragon at that time apparently had to end again, when he found the body of his teacher who had been spilled in blood in the middle of the forest, coupled with the figure of Night crow who was leaving the scene, then after he heard the last words of his teacher who mentioned the name "Night Crow". So in his heart and mind there is now only one target name, Night Crow.

 The next thing that happened, Dragon decided to look for the person who had killed his teacher. Night crow is more famous for working alone, and often travel alone. So that is what underlies Dragon's determination to be able to meet the Night Crow and ask him to fight one on one. Dragon doesn't care anymore even though he has to waste his life just to get revenge against the Night Crow, because he was very angry when again someone who was so meaningful in his life was suddenly killed, especially now for no apparent reason. So now that's the only way of life he will take.

 After finishing daydreaming and admiring the sword given by his teacher, Dragon decided to immediately sleep because the night was really late. He sleeps while being accompanied by a campfire, the sound of owls, and the dense night that envelops the sky.

 The next day, Dragon awoke early in the morning. The sky still looks dark because the sun hasn't fully risen. The dragon was awakened by a mysterious voice faintly heard in his ear, the voice calling out from afar, and sounded like the voice of a woman asking for help. That's what made Dragon a little surprised, so after he woke up, he immediately rushed to look for the existence of that voice.

 "Hey, help me. Come here ... Please. " Such was the voice that was heard in Dragon's ears, and the voice kept calling him repeatedly.

 Dragon immediately tidy up his belongings, then start walking to find the origin of the sound. He inspected every bush and tree that was there, but there was no one he found at all. While the sound was getting farther and farther away, like he was directing a Dragon to some place.

 And finally the Dragon arrived near a large, tall tree. It looks like it's the biggest tree in the forest. With the vines and shrubs around it, it made the atmosphere quite scary there, even though there wasn't a human presence at all, but the woman's voice was still clearly heard in Dragon's ears. The voice of the mysterious woman came from inside the big tree. "Come here, please help me." The voice was increasingly heard softly.

Maybe for others in general, if you hear the voice of a mysterious woman in the forest like that, it will immediately run away scared. But not for Dragon. He was driven by a strong curiosity, also by his concern for the voice of the call for help from a woman, which he could not just ignore, even though there was a possibility that it was a trap.

 But that didn't stop him at all, he still stepped forward to approach her. Then after he got closer, he reached out to touch the tree. But surprisingly, it turns out his hand immediately penetrated and entered into the tree, like someone who was putting his hand into the water.

 Then without hesitation, Dragon walked into the tree. His body entered and seemed to pass through a portal, so now he was somewhere else. The place looked like a very dark cave, with a rock wall around it. And right in the middle of the cave, there was an object that looked very striking and attracted Dragon's attention. It was a glowing golden plate and it was located right on the big rock there.

 "Come here, please help me." The mysterious woman's voice apparently came from the golden plate

 Then Dragon approached it while saying, "A, are you a golden plate that can talk ?? ... A, I'm confused what to call you? Miss? Thing? Or ghosts? What exactly are you? " Dragon felt confused, because it turned out that what had called him to that place was a plate.

 "Most people will immediately run away when they hear my voice. Because they think that I'm a ghost. But you are different. " Said the voice of the woman from the golden plate.

 "Yes, I can understand that." Replied Dragon.

 "It's amazing, you want to come here, finally someone found me here ... I'm very grateful ... I- I really want to cry." Said the gold plate in a sad voice.

 "Please dont. I don't know what to do if you cry. " Dragon began to look panicked.

 "Oh sorry ... I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Melinda, or better known as the Rain Dagger. I used to be a famous knight. Have you ever heard my name? "

 "You used to be?? When was it more precisely?" Dragon asked back.

 "After I counted, I've been trapped in this plate for 25 years. So that means, 25 years ago I was one of the Knights who helped King Velodros fight Darkros ... Come on, you must have heard my name, right?"

 "Rain dagger huh ?? ... No, I've really never heard of it." Dragon replied curtly.

 Then the golden plate fell silent for a moment, and began to speak again, "You don't know? Is it true? Have people forgotten about me? I ... I really want to cry. " He said, coupled with the sound of sobbing.

 "Sorry, sorry ... Please don't cry. I didn't mean to offend you. How is this? " Dragon looks very panicked, because he doesn't know how to calm a woman.

 Then Dragon continued his words. "You said you were a knight, right? Why are you so crybaby? "

 "Huaaaa ... !!!" The sound of crying became louder.

 "Waa, the crying is even greater. What should I do? Do you want me to leave now? "Said Dragon.

 "Do not!! Please don't leave me here. " The golden plate suddenly stopped its crying instantly, because she did not want Dragon to leave.

 ("Fyuuh ... It's just troublesome.") Dragon said in his heart.

 "I'm sorry, I was too carried away by feelings. I've been cooped up in these plates for many years, and asked everyone who passes by, but no one ever wants to come to this place and find me. Therefore I am very happy because for the first time someone has managed to find me here. "

 "Alright, now please tell me, what happened to you so you could be in that plate? And why can that plate be in this cave? " Asked Dragon, so that his curiosity could be fulfilled.

 "Do you know Darkros?"

 "Of course, a long time ago he and the members of the Emperors unity had attacked the Kingdom of Nexus, but he had been defeated, right?" Said Dragon.

 "It's true, but it's not entirely true."

 "What do you mean?" Dragon becomes confused.

 "Prepare yourself, because you will hear the greatest truth in your life." These words made Dragon swallow hard and a little nervous, then Melinda continued.

 Melinda began to talk about the truth behind the defeated of Darkros, which had not been known by many people. Actually, Darkros isn't really destroyed. Its core strength was successfully sealed inside an object called the Ball of Aporion, originally the Ball of Aporion was created by Darkros as a source of destructive energy. But King Velodros managed to turn things around and beat him with difficulty, assisted by other Knights who also fought to the death. One of them was the dragon knight, who had succeeded in cornering Emperors unity members.

 Until finally Darkros was successfully sealed into his own weapon, the Aporion ball. But before all of his strength was sealed, Darkros shared most of his strength to go to live in the bodies of Emperors unity members, so that now Emperors unity members have immortality.

 The power sent by Darkros was in the form of an aura of darkness, which had its own awareness and had to find members of Emperors unity.

 In my case, one of the members of the Emperors unity named Pandora, had to be stuck with me in this gold plate prison. Here, everyday we only fight because we cannot go out or feel hungry. It is as if our bodies are united with this golden plate, so that we can see the situation around the outside of the plate, while those outside the plate cannot see us.

 In addition, every moment or force that we shot at each other, apparently it can actually come out of this golden plate, while our bodies do not. I don't know how many days we've spent together while continuing to fight in here.

 But one day, one of Darkros' dark aura finally managed to enter here to meet Pandora, because its job was so that it could reside in Pandora's body and give her immortality. But Pandora prefers to take her life away, and give me eternity from Darkros, so that I can feel that I will remain in this plate forever, alone, and will never age.

That suffering must be experienced by Melinda so far, confined in the form of a gold plate alone in a dark and isolated place.

 Constrained by a portal that connects the outside world with the mysterious cave. The portal embodies a large tree that looks scary, and is located in the middle of the forest, a place where Dragon has spent time sleeping all night. Usually no one wants to approach the origin of the voice call for help mysterious woman in the forest, but Dragon was the first person who dared to come. Or rather have managed to find Melinda who had been cooped up there.

 "Is there anything I can do to free you from this plate?" Ask Dragon who offers help.

 "Geez, you're so kind ... I really want to cry. But no, nothing you can do to free me from this golden plate. I don't know how. " Melinda answered.

 "Well then ... Listen, I'm not trying to persuade you or amuse you right now. But if there really isn't anything you can do to get you out of there. Then at least you can come with me out of this cave, so that you can see the outside world again, and watch the scenery out there that you haven't seen for a long time. Then we will find out together, how to free you from the plate. How?" Dragon invites Melinda to join in his adventure.

 "Sob ... Sob ... Sob ..." Melinda's happy crying was heard by Dragon.

 "Come on, you said that you are a knight, so don't be whiny like that."

 "I don't know, I wasn't like this before, but since being trapped here for 25 years, every day all I can do is cry. And now somehow, because I'm so happy, I can't stop crying ... Huuhuuhuu. " Melinda said while bursting into tears.

 Then without saying much, Dragon immediately took the golden plate from the stone, and then put the plate where Melinda was confined to the Dragon's body, immediately after that the plate was immediately attached and tightly wrapped around the shoulder in Dragon's left hand.

 Now Dragon gets a new traveling companion, a female knight named Melinda who is trapped inside a gold plate, even though his new friend is like that, but Dragon doesn't mind at all. He had intended to bring Melinda on his journey so that Melinda could see the outside world again, and Dragon also promised that he would help Melinda to find a way to be released from the golden plate. Now the Dragon journey will be accompanied by a female knight named "Melinda the Rain Dagger." who also helped King Velodros in his fight against Darkros 25 years ago.
