30.... but My Heart Says No

The same night, in the Devdas Star Tailes's office at the Golden Star Hotel. Two men in dark suits stood at Devdas' desk and reported their oversight results. "That's right, sir, Miss Marianne lives in Mr. Imdad's residence and they seem to be ... in a romantic relationship. They make out like lovers ...." Crack!! Devdas threw the crystal block that became his nameplate to the floor so that it shattered to pieces. The two men froze with pale complexions. Devdas was furious that his face turned red and whiff roared from his nose. He asked for a comprehensive report, but not that explicitly stated. Something in his abdominal cavity hurt hearing that. Is this a broken heart? Is this how humans feel when they are hurt? How ridiculous a human is, and now he is a human and he is dumb if he feels hurt. Devdas scolded himself silently. His tongue was off. He couldn't even curse his i***t subordinates. He rose from the chair, took a wide stride towards his men and then pulled one of them by the neck. He threw the man outside the room. "Uaaakhh !!" shrieked that floated and then hit the wall. "I-g-my-gosh boss, gosh !!" the other whined while curling up. "Get out of here! Get out !!" shouted Devdas. Devdas grabbed the man and threw him to join his friend. "Don't show your faces in front of me again !!" growled Devdas then slammed the door. He was alone in his room and trying to catch his breath, calm himself. "s**t !!" he shouted, sending his fists to the dim ceiling of his study. He cursed at the higher ups of the universe. "So you guys threw me into the hell of this world just to make fun of my destiny?!" he snapped. He has everything in this world, but he can't get what he wants. Devdas was enraged inside. He clenched his fists against the desk. He spoke to Who Must Hear what he said. "You made me an immortal just to see me suffer apparently. Is this what you mean to love anyone other than You will only bring suffering and therefore I deserve to be punished? "Didn't you create love yourself? You breathed it into the souls of every creature You created. So you want all that love only for You? You are selfish! Supreme, Most Selfish !!" No reply. Devdas gets carried away with emotion in his own monologue. He sat in front of his desk, squeezed his forehead, looked down, and sobbed. Something inside him hurt a lot. Black tears flowed from his eyes and he was surprised when he wiped the tears. He stared at the black stain on his palm. The fluid that came out of his eyes, he felt vulnerable and helpless, but the pain in his body felt slighter. This is the first time he has cried. "Is it wrong if I do what I think is right? I just want to take away my rights, because she has promised me, in the next life she will serve me, be mine." He squeezed his chest. "My Chandni ..." he howled painfully. Devdas Star Tailes never thought that heartache would hurt more than the thousand wounds his body suffered. Rajputana Udai Singh's Palace Gardens, India, 1763 He remembered bringing the light of Chandni's life from the world to nirvana. He envelops the light in a soft shield like a glass ball. Holding it against his chest so as not to be damaged on their way through the layers of the sky. "Save Raj!" pleaded Chandni that evening with teary eyes, kneeling by his feet. She wore a yellow sharara dress with lavish embroidered lace in layers as she had become Rajputana Udai Singh's concubine. Her stomach bulged because she was expecting Rajputana's child. Rajputana was seizing to the battlefield. The battlefield was deliberately created by the opponent and Rajputana's own allies, to kill Rajputana. It was not uncommon for a king or prince or other ruler to have multiple wives or concubines. However, it would be unusual if a king only liked one woman, while the status of that woman was equal to a commoner and openly the king put the woman by his side. Chandni who was only a servant of the lowest caste became the personal servant of Rajputana Udai Singh. On Raj's orders, the woman was a servant in his room every night. Initially, everyone took it for granted. However, after Rajputana refused to put Chandni in the harem palace, even keeping the woman in his own room, made various court circles doubt the authority of a Rajputana Udai Singh. Moreover, Raj often took the woman on trips, even in making decisions on various government affairs, Rajputana did not hesitate to share his feelings and listen to her words. The decisions he made were never problematic, and it only made people look for Chandni's faults even more. The wives and women in the harem palace, supported by the court shamans, began to raise the rumor that Rajputana had been under the influence of a very strong magic from Chandni. Chandni is a witch and she should be put to death. Devdas witnesses their brutality in their attempt to kill Chandni. Due to his ability to smell death, Devdas could tell if Chandni's life was in danger. Several times he was able to prevent it. but one time, it was almost too late. He found Chandni being drowned by several women in the bathing pool in the palace. He managed to attract Chandni's spirit before her body was damaged because the lungs were filled with water. He embraced Chandni's bare astral body without any clothes on and brought her to perch on the wooden beam of the bath roof. Chandni put her hands around his neck and stared fixedly at him with her eyeballs shining in amazement. "What are you doing, Mr. Devdas?" She said incredulously. "Save you from death," Devdas replied with a flushed face. This was the first time he took the spirit of someone who was not from his task list. "You can do that ??" Chandni's eyes widened even more as if he could swallow him. "I cannot give life, but I can certainly avoid death," he replied, his chest puffed out. Never had he felt as proud as this time about his work. "Kyaa ...!" too amazed, Chandni's grip on Devdas almost comes off, luckily the man's hand catches her. The arm covered in gold shields clasped her waist and the other hand squeezed the solid bulge of her chest. "S-sir ... Devdas ..." sighed Chandni. Devdas doesn't understand but he feels his hands are in the right position, as he used to see Rajputana doing this woman. But he felt superior to Rajputana because he could hold this woman while carrying her flying because he had big and strong wings. There was a loud noise coming from the bath's entrance, causing Devdas and Chandni to turn to the source of the sound. Rajputana broke down the wooden bath door and burst in accompanied by several guards. The women who drowned Chandni's body dilated in shock and were about to run with their naked bodies, but the royal guards swiftly caught them. Seeing what happened to his woman, Rajputana felt life being pulled out of his body. All dressed up he threw himself into the pool, grabbing Chandni's body. He embraced the bare, pale, and cold body out of the pool. "The death penalty for these women and make sure their bodies rot under the sun. I'm sure vultures don't even touch them!" he ordered his guards. Some of them took the women out, some stayed behind to wait for the next commandment, they didn't know what to do to see their king carrying his paramour's body with a face as pale as a living corpse. "Nahin, nahin, mere Chandni, mujhe mat chhodo ...." No, no, my Chandni, don't leave me .... He sobbed as he sat down and hugged Chandni tightly. He caressed her face and lips that turned blue. His gut refused to lose this woman. He laid Chandni down and opened those cold lips with his mouth, blowing air into her lungs in the hope that she would breathe again and open her eyes to see him. Chandni's astral body looking from above was touched. Her eyes looked at the man with expectation. Chandni suddenly gasps. He gripped Devdas's arm tightly as she felt something tugging her. Devdas was also surprised to see that. "Devdas?" murmured Chandni worried. Devdas felt that he was already tightly holding onto Chandni, but the astral body nevertheless sped off hastily, reaching back into her body which was in Rajputana's hands. Chandni penetrated her body. She took a deep breath and coughed out water in her lungs. "Ch-Chandni ??" murmured Raj in disbelief. "Raj?" said Chandni hoarsely. The man then hugged her tightly and said various sentences of gratitude and praise to the Almighty. "Oh, I know you will never leave me, Chandni ..." sighed Raj, sighing happily. Chandni was speechless, but she turned her head over to the winged creature perched on the ceiling. The man looked relieved at the same time looked sad, turned around, and then sped away by flapping his wings. After that incident, Rajputana kept Chandni by his side even more. They live happily as lovers, but the people around them live in misery because of the jealousy in their hearts. The jealousy grew so much that the idea arose to overthrow Rajputana. And there was war. Just when Chandni was pregnant. Although Rajputana left with confidence that he would return like earlier times because he had never lost a battle, Chandni's felt the opposite. She knew the plans of the foe on her lover. That straining night, she went under the banyan tree in the palace gardens and summoned Devdas, kneeling at Death's feet and pleading with him. "Save Raj!" She said. "If you save him, in the next life, I will serve you," promised Chandni. Devdas felt something stabbing his stomach at the woman's brief request. His heart wanted to say no, but part of him couldn't bear to see this woman miserable. Like a brave knight, Devdas dashed off to the battlefield following Rajputana. The field was full of dust mixed with dews of blood. The metal clashed with the horse braying and howl in pain. The flesh was torn apart and a red tinge of blood scattered. He saw many officers of the Death gathered at the edge of the bloody arena, perched with white wings, silk garments, and golden shields on their bodies like vultures waiting. "Oh, hi, Devdas, were you assigned here too?" greeted one of his colleagues, glanced at him then returned to the real field how human beings are just as brutal as other creatures when it comes to possession, thrones, and women. "Hmm, yes," said Devdas, "but I'm on a different mission," he added before he sped off into the middle of the battlefield. No human saw him. Through the s***h of Rajputana's sword he waved the arm of death. Hundreds of souls were lost as a result. Rajputana paused to catch his breath. His face was dirty with dust and blood stains. The enemies surrounding him moved back in fear at the power of Rajputana. It was then that Devdas blew his spell, "May you always escape death!" Then he left Rajputana. Devdas returns to the palace garden to meet Chandni and deliver happy news to the woman. But when he got there, he gasped. Chandni's body was lying under a tree, with a knife stuck in the diaphragm. Dark red covered her yellow dress. A Death crouches beside her and smiles at Chandni. Only this time, Devdas did feel cold to the bone. Like he had a heart, the organ stopped beating at once. The woman glanced at him and a tear fell from the corner of her eye. "Devdas?" She said in a trembling voice. "Ch-Chandni ??" said Devdas in a trembling voice too. "Oh, hi, Devdas!" says Death on Chandni's side. The white winged man with light blonde hair and blue eyes stared at him with a friendly smile. "Zourdan ...," muttered Devdas coldly. Zourdan is a colleague with a rank higher than him. This man often contradicts him. Zourdan looks at Chandni. "Finally I was able to pick her up," he said casually, "no wonder Satya always failed to find this woman, it turns out that you intervened in her death." Satya is Chandni's Death Officer. "I won't let you carry her!" growled Devdas as he prepared to charge at Zourdan. The man raises his palm to Devdas. "Ay, ay, before you act, let's hear what this woman thinks, you know, humans often think women are always right. Let's hear what she says." He squatted again in front of Chandni and looked at the woman who was struggling to breathe every second. "Chandni, your name, do you think you better live or die?" Chandni smiles at him. "As my life causes problems for my lord Raj, so I choose death to fetch me," she replied. "No, Chandni!" protested Devdas, "I saved him, Rajputana will not die, you can live happily!" Hearing this, Zourdan shook his head, "Oh dear, Devdas! You're causing big trouble for yourself!" He glanced sympathetically at his colleague, then looked back at Chandni, who looked relinquished to him. "You're a smart woman, Chandni ...," he muttered. He stroked Chandni's big belly. "Unfortunately, I only have one quota," he muttered again with the corner of his lips drooping. Like pulling a sewing needle with the thread, it pulls Chandni's life out of her body. "Nooooo !!" Devdas' agonized scream sounded like the pitch of an explosion in a Rajputana palace. Chandni's life is like a firefly light at night, but bigger. Zourdan embraced the light in one arm. He was about to fly away but then halted his intention. He saw the thread of the agreement between Chandni and Devdas. Zourdan patted his own forehead. Geez, it's just getting complicated. Zourdan glanced at Devdas who was kneeling with a stony face and was suddenly happy to see that. "Devdas!" he calls, making Devdas look at him. "Do you want this woman?" he asked as he lifted the light of Chandni's life on his shoulders. Devdas gasped. "W-what?" "Do you know the Reincarnation System in our company? That place is really terrible, I think it's like a garbage collection place. Recycling? Heh, what is that term? I wonder why that department exists, luckily not many people know ...." "You mean?" slashed Devdas curious about the direction of Zourdan's conversation. Zourdan brings Chandni's life to Devdas. "This woman can live again, but it will take a while because the recycling system is complicated, impractical, and troublesome ...." "Just to the point, Zourdan!" growled Devdas. Zourdan cleared his throat. "Hmm, hmm, in the next life, maybe, this is possible, this woman could be yours ...." Without waiting for Zourdan to finish his sentence, Devdas sped off to bring Chandni's life and wrapped it in a life protector. Zourdan smirked after Devdas disappeared. "Ah, Devdas, this time you will definitely be knocked out of Heaven, huahahahaha ...." Devdas rushes to the Reincarnation System in the universe. He stands before the entrance of an extended and convoluted channel. The channel glowed softly with colors like diamonds. He looked at the ball of Chandni's life and said to it, "In the next life, I will meet you and remember, you are mine, Chandni!" Then he released the ball of life into the channel of the Reincarnation System. *** To be continue .... Please follow the author and story by add to library for more update.
