Prologue

Jason stepped on the gas pedal until it reached its maximum speed. His car flew on the street like a crazy bird, passing through the red light without even bothering it. “We have to hurry now, Jazz. Come on! More speed!” Someone said from the passenger seat. “This is the maximum speed, so just shut the hell up!” Jason exasperatedly said. His face stricken, every muscle in him tensed. “If you didn’t crash the Mustang, we could go faster.”  Jason got so irritated; he refused to reply. He ignored it by making a sharp turn to the right.  “Come on, faster before it’s too late!” The person shouted again. Jason could feel the rush of the blood filling his head.  “I KNOW. CAN’T YOU SEE? I’M TRYING!!” He screamed. ‘Rae… what did you think before going to park alone?’ He thought. Horrors were dazing through in his head, images of a girl with dark wavy hair and stubborn green eyes, running wild in the park, avoiding a threat to her life.  He would’ve run if that could take him faster to the park.  He would’ve flown like Superman, but he’s not a Kryptonian freak. He’s just thinking how stubborn she could be and how stupid the argument earlier that afternoon. Jealousy - that’s what it was. He’s just jealous without a good reason.  “Come on Jazz, faster!” The man said again. “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!” He screamed again, glancing fiercely to the empty passenger seat. Yes. There’s no one there. Only one person is sitting in that car. There’s only Jason, who’s speeding ahead to the park, to rescue the stubborn girl. Rae Sameera Manor.
