Pre - Chapter 1

All people around the table were silent as the dead. The food untouched, and a body laid on the floor in a pool on her own blood. Sitting in top chair, Andrew, hit his fingers rhythmic on the wooden table. His sharp gaze scared everyone from defending the two people kneeling on the floor, trembling.      Without saying a word he signaled his assistant with one glance.  In no time there was a cut tongue, followed by a desperate scream, laying on the it’s own red pool.      Even the people around started sweating in fear of having the same fate.     “Please, I have one kid, a boy,I don’t want to leave him with no father. Please, spare me!?” Some wondered if he is brave or stupid to talk to the “king of the city”. With a glass of wine on the other hand, Andrew was still unbothered by the pleads.      The woman they used to drag his drink was an example of what will happen to them.     “Kill them” he says as he finishes the last sip of the wine. He puts the glass down and gets up. He fixes his black suit straight and walks out of the gloomy room. The two scream as they drop into the floor, dead. The people around the table don’t make a sound still, no one willing to help.      His assistant follows him as soon as he is done giving orders. Andrew walks the golden detailed walls into the night, stepping out of the glass turning doors. His driver stands out of the car, close to the backseats ready to open the car door. He opens the door and Andrew strips into the leather seats. His assistant walks into the passenger seat. The driver circles around the car and gets in too. The car starts to drive between the city’s buildings.     The city’s lights are glorious and seem silent to him. Andrew leans into the seat untying his tie.    ‘You should had let me kill them’ a sinister laugh after. “Shut up” Andrew says out loud. The driver, Mr Smith, almost turns his head around when he catches the warning on the assistant’s dark grey eyes.     Mathew Lee, Andrew’s assistant, is very well familiar to who Andrew is taking. Those talks happen often the pass three years. He is one of the few people that know Andrews secret.     The inner voice stays silent for moments before speaking again ‘I want you to form tonight’ ‘no’ he says this time inner ‘I need you to form tonight, you haven’t formed into the last two months. I, haven’t been let out for the last two months’ ‘no’ ‘Then there is no need for your opinion anymore’ Andrew leaves those words from him into the air, ignoring them.     They pass a whole forest, away from the city, and reach the silver gates. Andrew senses it and opens his eyes that he didn’t realize he closed.     Mr Smith opens the door, Andrew steps out of the car.     He walks a few steps and a sudden headache catches him. *Hiss* he hisses silently for the rest of the other's ears. He goes and takes more steps but the headache becomes worse and his eyes turn golden. His wolf fights slow but strong for control.     “Mathew” his assistant steps closer “Find me a new set of clothes” he walks closer and closer into the forest while his assistant follows slowly for more instructions “You know where to leave them”     Mathew being years with Andrew knows that, that is the end of the instructions, he stops his movements.          Andrew takes his coat suit off, his shoes, and all the rest of his clothes as he keeps on waking. He transforms into a big black wolf under the trees shadows. He runs deeper into the forest until he reaches the familiar lake. He steps slowly into the water looking at his reflection. The moonlight shines brighter upon him.     Andrew doesn’t know if this is a curse or a blessing. His life can be described lonely and cold. But having to this secret seems tortured in a way. He looks up into the moonlight, the only light that seems to shine for him only. All the stars can’t compare into the moon’s beauty.     He turns back and continues run to the forest, but this time out of it. ‘Can’t we just stay a little bit more’ ‘Another day’ the wolf stays silent. He picks his clothes from his assistant that seemed to have been waiting for him. He starts getting dressed.    “You may go home now, Mathew” Mathew bows his head slightly and he replies “Then I’ll be going, Sir” Andrew nods and doesn’t even glance at him as he puts the white shirt on. He steps into the nice cut grass with naked feet. He steps from the kitchen glass door and picks and green apple from the counter. He throws it with almost no strength  from the right to the left hand, and takes a big bite from it. After five bites he throws it into the trash can.      He doesn’t glance at the empty rooms and walks to his office. Papers await him into the wooden desk. He sits into his chair,  starting to read all those files. The moonlight from the window and a lamp upon the desk were the only lights into the office. He glance out of the window into the forest and lowers his head again.      He puts paper down and opens the only locked drawer. He takes a purple bracelet out. He leans and examines it carefully as he does.      The bracelet is handmade and belongs to a woman he knew only for a day. He still hasn’t forgot about her and the night they spend together. She saved his life that day too. He still hasn’t found her, only a fake ID, like she doesn’t even exist in this world.  ‘We should go back to look for her’ Andrew agrees with the wolf. ‘Yes. We need to find her.’ He tightens his grip into the bracelet with a determinant look in his expressionless face.
