Life can be so unfair. We all make wrong decisions and bad choices. Sometimes we just want to rebel a little to live life to the fullest and enjoy our teenage age! Well, that was exactly what I did. Just one simple chemical accident and, unfortunately for me, I made the wrong choice, not just any wrong decision, I made the worst decision and I put everyone I love in danger and, suddenly, the city of Lagos depends on me to save them. Where are my manners? Let's make a little bit of an introduction so you get to know the person behind the story... I'm your average 17 years old. Nothing too special is going on in my life, and I don't have the perfect life. I want to say I love my life, but that will be a big lie because years of trauma, a broken home and a chronic illness are not something I'm proud of. Hell! If I weren't the amazing people in my life, I would want a change. Dad left when I was 15 and my brother was 19, and I lived with allergic asthma for all the years of my life. It was pretty chronic growing up, but finally got stable juggling attacks once in a while. When my Dad left, the divorce broke us. He left right after the birth of my baby brother. It caused a rift in the Coker's, but eventually we got over it, but we never heard from him ever since, not even a phone call. I have no idea why he left. My mum won't say we never really forced her to give us an answer, we just waited for the right time, which never came, we were fine with it, he was gone. I have got the best friends you could ever ask for who would not hesitate to put their life on the line for me. I grew up in Lagos. Though I hail from Ogun state, I have never been to my homeland, not even once. My dad never wanted us to get close to our relatives and when he left we sort of left it that way. I grew up in a small and isolated environment, most times too quiet, it wasn't safe to go out at night, but I have lived to always be cautious. I have the most loving family. I could't have never asked for more. Even after my dad left us, we still found a way back to stability. I attended Crissen high school, in @@@@, Lagos. I was a scholarship student at my best friend's mum's school but she had nothing to do with my scholarship .I was pretty smart, so my mum didn't have to worry much about my school bills. I'm 5'84 feet tall, with brown eyes, and a long natural brown hair. I was a bit tall but a perfect body. I do have my insecurities. I wore contact lenses once in a while when I had trouble seeing, but I never used glasses. I hated them, I have a case of asthma. Enough about me for now. Well, you will learn more about me in the book. I have two best friends and some few close friends, one ex-boyfriend and two brothers. Moving on to my best friends. His name is Testimony but we call him Tes. We have been friends for ages. We met at the national theater park on a school trip, where he beat up a boy who spilled my ice cream because I wouldn't give him any. It was the nicest thing a guy had ever done for me. We later found out later that year that we lived close to each other. We started going to the same school. Ever since then, we have been totally inseparable. Normally, people would peg us to be high school sweetheart's, they said that we dated, even my mom was suspicious.
