Chapter one

Tears blurred my vision causing me to stumble and fall several times as I ran through the forest, I didn't know where I was going, all I knew was daddy told me to run and not to stop until I got to another Alpha. So that's what I did. I ran, my wolf Jade screaming in my head for me to shift so she could help me. "No" I told her sternly. "You know we can't. Father said not to shift, never to let anyone know I can shift at eight years old, never let anyone know I am the daughter of an Alpha. It's too dangerous." Jade growled in annoyance, knowing I was right. I had to block her growls and snarling out, needing to concentrate on where I was, where I was heading and the path ahead. Tears still burned my eyes, blurring my way. Before I realized what happened I ran into a wall. Or what I thought was a wall. With a menacing growl I looked up to see another wolf. He was indeed built like a wall. He had to be the biggest wolf I'd ever seen. "What are you doing out here cub?" the man asked trying to help me up. I sneered at him and swatted his hand away, jumping up to my feet. "I need to see your Alpha." I stated with my shoulders squared and my head held high. Daddy always told me never to show weakness, never let people know you're afraid.  The man smiled at my defiance, and I saw something flash in his eyes. "I am the Alpha." The man said stepping forward. His closeness unsettled me, but I didn't show it. I looked at him concentrating on his power. This man was no Alpha, he wasn't even a beta. I growled and crouched into my fighting stance my dad showed me. "You're no Alpha, you're not even a beta." I said angrily.  The man's eyes widened and I wasted no time in taking his shock to my advantage. I dropped to the ground, swinging my leg around and knocked the man's feet out from under him. He hit the ground, hard. knocking whatever breath he had in his lungs out in one large whoosh.  And I ran, using my senses as my guide. When I got to where the scent was strongest I saw a large house come into view. It must be the pack house, I thought as I made my way to the front door. But I was stopped my another equally large man. He had power, but he again was not the Alpha. "Get me your Alpha." I demanded of him. The man looked at me in confusion. "What would a cub like you need with our Alpha." The man mused.  I however growled. How dare he disrespect me? The daughter of an Alpha. The man's eyes widened marginally before they hardened. He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt lifting me off the ground until I was eye to eye with him. "Who are you to disrespect me?" He sneered. I didn't answer him, I just kicked the man's crotch, causing him to drop me. I ran passed him and into the pack house, searching for the Alpha.  When I was grabbed up from behind I roared my rage. "Get your hands off me." I commanded, using my Alpha voice that my father taught me to use. The persons grip on me loosened, the body tensed. "NOW!" I bellowed. I was hesitantly lowered to the ground as whoever caught me released me unwillingly. "Where is your Alpha?" I demanded turning to face the same man who I had just kicked.  His jaw tightened as his eyes narrowed at me. "In his office." He ground out. "Call him. Now!" I commanded him. His eyes glazed over, telling me he was mind linking someone. That's when I felt the power enter the room. When I faced the man I gasped. His hair was a cropped golden blonde, his skin was deeply tanned and his piercing blue eyes looked as if they bore into your soul, and he was even bigger than the first man I ran across. This man was built like a truck. Power radiated off him in waves. It covered him like a second skin. It however did not intimidate me, I looked him square in the eyes as I stood my ground. "Alpha, I need your help." I told him.  "Who are you cub?" He asked. His voice gruff but gentle. "I am Willow Silverclaw. My father sent me. Our pack was attacked by rouges, he told me to run and keep running until I found another Alpha." The Alpha's eyes widened as he knelt down to my level. "Alpha Elijah Silverclaw? Of the silver pack?" He asked astonished. I nodded at him, fighting the tears that threatened to once again fall.  The man quickly stood, shouting commands to his pack members. People rushed around as they ran to obey the Alpha's commands. "Willow I am Alpha Gabriel, you may call me Gabe. Don't worry. Your father has been our ally for years, we will help the best we can." I once again nodded. That's when I noticed a little boy clutched onto the Alpha's leg. He was shaking with fear, as the people rushed around. There is no way this could be the Alphas son. He was timid, weak and fearful. The Alpha noticed my hard glare and looked down at his son. He shook his head in defeat as he removed the scared boy from his leg.  Not long after a woman came in. Her skin was milky white, her long black hair was straight as a board and covered her entire back. She had dull green eyes that were off putting and had almost no power to be seen or felt. She and took the boys hand before walking over to me. "Hello Willow." The woman said smiling kindly. "I am Luna Bella, I am here to take you to get some food and rest until the warriors get back." I hesitated, looking back and forth between the Alpha and the Luna, fighting every instinct I had not to run with the warriors back to my pack.  The Alpha noticed my reluctance and walked over to me. "Willow, I know you want to come with us but you can't. Stay here with Bella, she will take care of you until we return. I promise you I will talk to you as soon as we got back." I thanked him, knowing that an Alpha couldn't break a promise. So following the Luna, I watched as the warriors tore through the front door to go help my pack. I just hope that it's not too late.
