introduction of the characters and the packs.

First day of your senior year. You don't want to be late.

Coming mother, I yelled back. My mother asks what was taking so long upstairs. To which I told her, I could not decide which outfit to wear.

My mother then replied you look beautiful in anything you wear.

I would kill to look like you she says.

You see I am, 5 ft 8, slim built, and have long legs. I have been told that my legs are to die for.

I also have light blue eyes with a touch of grey in them and long brown hair. I have been told since I was 14 years old, I should be a model and I have had the agencies trying to sign me.

I have modeled some but my passion has always been to be a doctor, when I graduate and to help people.

So I am excited, that during the summer I was accepted to one of the best schools for pre-med on a scholarship program.

Did I mention I am a straight-A student, and valedictorian of our class and will be graduating early, I have a 4.0 all through high school?

I also did an internship at one of the county hospitals here in town.

Where I worked 5 days a week. Helping cure people, with sicknesses.

We live in West Palm Beach Florida. Yes, some famous people live here and yes, I have run into them from time to time. But I'm not one to brag.

I ate my breakfast which was sunny side up eggs, bacon, toast, and orange juice one of my favorite foods, to eat.

Now I'm off to school. I thanked my mother for breakfast.

Oh by the way her name is Riley Carter. "Doctor Riley Carter." She is the pack Doctor here at the packhouse. We live in, did I also mention that I am a werewolf.

We are the Blue moon pack, we are one the strongest in America.

Our sister pack is the Red moon pack and the grey moon pack. We all go to West high school in Stuart Florida.

We are all invited to go to "Ryder the bad boy's party" this is the name that everyone calls him, as he has a reputation to be a player and can cause trouble, where ever he goes.

Ryder is the next in line to be Alpha. He will turns18 this Friday.

We are supposed to, be able to find our mates, when we turn 18. But I am hoping, I don't find my mate yet. As I have dreams to go away to college, which I know will not happen if I find my mate.

You see male werewolves are very possessive, they need to have their mates around them all the time.

All werewolves have a mate bond pull that makes it impossible to function without our mates for too long, the moon goddess designed us this way.

I am sitting in my first-hour class with my best friend since kindergarten Hailey. When Ryder and his posses walk in Hailey is excited to find her mate and live a happy life you see she is an omega which is one of the lower ranks in our pack.

Oh did I mention, I am the beta daughter. My dad is the beta his name is Nick Carter he and the Alpha are best friends since they were born.

Our Alphas name is Riker Jackson, he is handsome he has Gray eyes and blonde hair he is 6 ft 6 muscular built and the Luna whose name is Kylie have been together since kindergarten.

They both said they knew they were mates and would be Destin to be together. Ever since they were 5 yrs old. I guess it is because they both have Alpha blood.

You see our luna belonged to the grey moon pack which is another one of our sister packs.

We have all joined together to stay strong and yes they go to our school too. Our school is werewolf-only, all teachers and students are werewolves.

Our Luna is one of the most beautiful women, I have ever seen. She has long wavy brown hair and the most beautiful eyes, I've ever seen. They are brown and golden in color and sparkle when she talks.

She is 5 ft 9 and also is of slim build, very muscular. She helps train all the females in our packs as she is a very good fighter.

Hailey and I are talking when one of Ryder's posse approaches his name is Blake.

He is going to be Ryder's beta he tells me that Ryder wants me to be his date for his birthday party Friday.

He then said I should wear a sliver formal gown.

I am in shock when he tells me this information, in all my years in school with Ryder he has never even glanced my way or even talked to me.

Now he wants me to be his date for his party. This makes me pissed.

I don't want to go, and I was not planning on going to his party. So I kindly turned him down, I say I have other plans already.

I don't I just don't want to go. I would rather stay home and watch Chicago med. I love this show, and any doctor show does spark my Interest lately.

My best friend Hailey slaps me on my arm and says do you know what you just did.

I said yes, I don't want to be anyone's date, she says he's not just anyone he's the next Alpha of the red moon pack.

You see since we all joined together, we are supposed to respect and treat all three Alphas with the same respect we would our Alpha.

We all took oaths too. Which then binds us together as one.

I turn to Hailey and told her that she is more than welcome to take my place, as I'm just not interested.

When Blake went back and told Ryder, I turned him down he was beyond pissed.

I heard a loud growl which tore through the school and even some of the desks and chairs were shaking. I turned in the direction and notice it was Ryder.

Blake and Andy were trying to calm him down but to no avail. Ryder approaches me and he said you dare turn your Alpha down.

To which I then say, that I'm just not interested in going to your party, I tell him to take Sandy.

You see Sandy always thought she would be his Luna. They have been off and on since 6th grade.

But Ryder gets bored easily and moves on to the next girl. Without even thinking for a second that he is hurting anyone's feelings, and "I am not going to be his next it girl" If you know what I mean.

I am saving myself for my mate and future husband. I just have no time for this, he then told me that I will be at his party and I will be his date.

And on that note, he stormed out of class with Blake and Andy on his tail. Hailey turns to me and says that was awkward.

Yea you can say that again. Then all of a sudden the bell rang.

Everyone got up to leave, but our teacher. Mr. X says since we had drama for most of the class we need to read chapters 1 to 10 and answer the questions by Wednesday and everyone groaned in frustration.

We are in the hall, I feel someone is watching me. When I turn around Sandy is behind me.

Sandy is glaring at me then she finally says you're not his type he's only going to use you to make me jealous.

Then he will throw you away like all the rest. Sandy then pushes on by me, to walk away.
