Blurb

300 Words
The blade pierced its scaled skin, making it shriek at the top of its voice. It breathed out fire, wanting to burn her alive, melt her body down to a puddle of blood and ash. But one wave of her hand directed the flames elsewhere, setting fire to a glorious tree. "Incensus Divignem Dracarius," she whispered, stepping away from its huge body. The tail was the first part that caught fire, making it groan and scream. For the first time in centuries, a dracone got the taste of its own medicine; someone decided to fight fire with fire. She watched calmly, as the flames engulfed it completely, slowly burning off the armour it so proudly wore. Its otherwise impenetrable skin, that no man had ever been able impale. A satisfied smile tugged the corners of her lips upwards, and she turned away from the rabid animal, walking away. Its cries brought her peace, a beautiful melody she had been desperate to hear since years. She stepped into a puddle of water, and stopped to glance down at her reflection. Gleaming golden locks that bounced around her even without any breeze or wind, shining blue eyes that would put the stars to shame, creamy white skin stained with drops of warm blood. She wiped it away, accidentally smearing it over her lips. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, as she saw what she would deem a monster stare back at her. But that was not the case anymore. Because now, she knew who she really was. She had accepted her identity. She was the Goddess of Castery, the Enchantress of Dragaria, the Slayer of Dracones. She was Elaine Maeve. The Daughter of Light.  - - - - Before you begin this book, make sure you read all the author's notes for important information!
