"Yes it was Horrible, A short Blond woman stepped out the car and handed me the key's she said to drive slowly because she's almost out of gas. I didn't understand it at first until it hit me she thought I was a bellman. "Seriously" "Yeah I was so offended I Told her off, she then apologized to me but I didn't accept it" "You didn't, why?" "People should learn how to treat people instead of just assuming anything it's called manners" "true, what happened next" "Why would You think something happened next?" "Well something had to because I got here Duh" "Audrey the blond-haired woman isn't your mom" "she's not?" I ordered one more drink before I was going to leave. I heard something and I looked over to see This woman with flat Dirty Blond hair at the bar was crying her makeup was terrible. Her eyeliner had run down her face messing up her makeup. I scooted my seat over and started to say weird things hoping she would overhear to make her laugh. "I could Imagine that, Your jokes are funny" "I kept going on with the jokes and I started to hear a few laughs, she looked up and thanked me. we then started an actual conversation we talked until the lady at the bar told us they were closing we exchanged numbers and kept in contact. we went on dates and did couples nights, she was the best. She gave me everything including you. "Then what happened" "She gave me a lot of happiness but she then gave me a lot of darkness" "What do you mean " "I mean all I feel obligated to telling you is I will always be grateful to her for giving me YOU, But I will always Hate her for ruining me and You" "what does that mean ?" "She caused us Heart ace and Ruined us but you never knew that because I didn't let you, And I'm still gonna not let you I'll be dammed if she ruins you completely as she did me. Present Day (Age 18) "Audrey get down here" "Ok, where are you?" "Downstair's in the Livingroom" "Ok I'm coming" "Hey, dad what's going on?" "Ok so in my hand I have 2 brown envelopes" I watch him dangle both of the envelopes in my face, with a rush of excitement in his face. "I can see that, are you gonna tell me what's in the envelopes you seem so excited about" "I could spare you the suspense and tell you or I can make you suffer seeing you're so excited to know," He says while still dangling the enveloped in his hand. "dad I don't think I'm as excited as you are about the envelopes" "But surely you are, I know you can't see but it's written all over you're face" "It is not " "But it is," He says as he creeps his way over to tickle attack me. -2 minutes later after being tickle attacked "Ok kiddo open them up he dropped both of the envelopes on the living room coffee table" I took one and sat on the couch to open it, my dad stood excitedly waiting for me to open it. I opened the first envelope and it was A college acceptance Letter from Pridewood for Business Marketing, I get startled by my dad's loud outburst. "Yesssssssssssssssssssss!, I knew it" He starts smothering me in Kisses. "Dad Hold on I still got to open the other one" "Oh you're right, this could be a better offer" I put the paper's I already had in my hand on the coffee table, then I grab the other brown envelope and open it. Soon as I see the first 3 sentences I scream "yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss!" This time startling my father the same way he did me. "What is it?" he say's "Audrey Clark, you have been accepted to attend Baily Timothy School of the Art's" My expression and my dad's expression were completely not the same. "Audrey, what do you wanna go there for?" "well for starters you know I love Photography" "Oh god, I thought that was just a hobby" "Well it's not I love how you can just catch certain life moving moments in a picture" "Honey You gotta think about that, Is what you love doing going to pay your future bills" I looked at him basically pleading. "Dad please I love art, please support me" "Look for Year's I worked hard so your life wouldn't be lost to manual Labor. This is your chance" He said with tearful Joy eyes, which I love seeing. My dad has had his fair share of struggles. he only smiled when it came to me and everything else was basically where his disappointment came from. I made a promise to myself years ago never to disappoint my dad ever. After all, I was his source of happiness. "Ok, dad I trust you, which means I trust that if you think me going to business school is the best path I'll do it" He came over and hugged me as if I was God himself. -Hour's later I was Getting dressed for a party My dad threw together for me only in a matter of 20 minutes. After deciding I was going to agree with my dad he called my uncle Mike and My Uncle Mike the crazy Social medalist in the Family Posted On Face book My Little Brother Nathan would like to announce That My beautiful Niece Audrey Will be Going To College This August. Then after a bunch of likes and congrats from family members on his Post. Like always a conversation struck, and of course, it was caused by my Aunt Marisol which is my Uncle Mike and My dad's baby sister. She had a great idea we should throw a Party to celebrate, and that's how it got started. "Dad I'm ready," I said while walking down the stairs wearing my simple red dress. My dad took a look at me and then took a deep breath.  "This is it, " He said while taking a deep breath. "What?"  "The Part where I have to realize I might have to let you go" "Dad you said the same thing when I started high school, And you still didn't let go you tried to see if you could walk me to my classes," I said while laughing hysterically. "I also said it when I signed you up for daycare And when you first started 4th grade, but I'm pretty sure you don't remember." watching my dad look at me like I was leaving him forever made me worry for him. I mean what would he do without me? I walked over to Him.  "Dad" "Yeah," He said while trying to cover some tears that may be on his face. "It's Ok I'll literally be 5 minutes away" "And another thing I still don't agree with you sharing a Flat with that Friend of yours," He said while trying to change the subject. "how many times do I have to tell you Hank is gay" He rolled his eyes at me. "How many times do I have to tell you I don't think he is, and I don't trust him" I grabbed my coat and took My dads Hand leading him to the front door. "Come on dad we're going to be late to the party"  "Don't think this conversation is over Audrey" It took my dad only 7 minutes to get to my aunt's house which is where the party is being held. they tried to tell me that it was going to be at olive garden, but the only thing is they planned all of this on a f******k, so I saw their entire plan.  My dad parked in my aunt's driveway, and when I tried to get out the car my dad said "wait" he got out the car and walked around the car to my side and said "close your eyes" I did as he said and he put a head wrap over my eyes and tied it. "Dad, what are you doing?"  "Audrey I'm gonna take your hand and lead you to the house, Ok" I nodded ok, I could hear the excitement in his voice. My dad and I have been together since the beginning. My Dad and I use to say this thing when I was little. I would say Dad you are my beginning, and he would say you are my source of happiness. My family is everything because it's all I've ever known, there were no friends Plural. I had my one friend Hank who I love so much. Me and Hank met our senior year of high school, so yeah it's a fresh relationship. "Ok take a big step, you're about to step on the porch" I did what he said and took a step forward. After we had entered the inside the house, My dad was leading me to the back yard. I could hear small giggles and laugher and my dad steps in front of me. "I'm bout to take off your blindfold," he says. I feel him lift my blindfold and with it being pitch black outside I see dark figures trying to hide behind chairs and tables. I heard someone count down "1.2..3 Surprize" The back yard lights flick on in different colors and I see my best friend Hank, My Aunt Marisol along with my uncle Mike my little cousins and my grandpa. After hugging everyone and being congratulated, Hank and I went inside to grab plates from inside. "I still don't understand what your aunt Marisol has against paper plates" "She feels because she's a stay at home mom she should have more responsibilities," I said while using air quotes. "God how many more responsibilities should she have, when she has 3 boys" "True" Hank and I brought back the paper Plates, 2 hours had passed and My uncle mike and his girlfriend had left. My aunt Marisol had put her kids to sleep, And I convinced my dad to let me and Hank stay for a little while to help clean up for my aunt. He knew Hank had a car so he was ok with it, even though he was hesitant with it being Hank that was with me. "Hank" He looked over at me after grabbing the last plastic cup. "Yeah" "Do you think I'm doing the right thing?" He looked at me and took does a deep sigh. We both walk over to the porch and sit down on the steps. "So what do you think?" The silence takes over and I wait it out, Hank is a deep person he gathers up his words for some big speech. "I think you're being careless about how you feel" I look over at him, realizing how much he cares. "When I first moved down here, I had friends that did nothing but talk about stupid relationships and breakups Just drama. But you didn't care about any of that, You cared for your family and your love of photography. I loved that about you, I can say an entire inspirational poem and you would take a picture and the words I was saying is an art of beauty by you're Photo. The fact that you're not even thinking about yourself and throwing away the chance to do something you love is killing me." "Hank you don't understand My father.." "Your father is just thinking about something you can always venture, but Photography is your heart" "My dads my heart too" I looked over at Hank Maybe hoping he understands, but the thing is Hank does understand. Hank is telling me all of this because he knows how hard it is for me knowing that I got into the school I wanted, Getting a degree for what I love most in the world. "Come on I'll drive you home" -THE NEXT DAY *Ting *Ting I wake up early at the sound of my phone going off, I get up and see a text from Hank, I'm coming over. Before I can fully wake myself up to understand what's happening I hear a car door close and knocking on the door. I look out my window to see whats going on. "Hank why in the Hell are you banging on my door at 5 in the morning ?" "Sorry, I really need to talk to Audrey" I see Hank get frustrated with his words, and I also see how eager my dad looks to close the door in his face. I open my window. "DAd let him in!" "Audrey it's too early" I give my dad a stern look demanding him to let Hank in, My dad recognizes the look and his once eager face is disappointed and he let Hank in. I hear Hank running up the stairs and then, he busts in my room closing the door behind him. "What is it?" Hank with a sly smirk on his face crosses his arms, walks over to my bed, and flops down on it. "I figured it out" What does he mean? what has he come across town to tell me? "What exactly have you figured out?" His smirk reappears. "Audrey Do you love Photography?" "What kind of question is this?" "Answer it" "Yes" "You can do both" I look at him and decide wheater he's delusional or he's playing with me. "What are you talking about?" "Ok it's gonna be tiring but I've thought about it all night. Picture this you go to school for both get your schedule set up and you can pay for it by working at my Father's pizza's parlor." "How would that even work hank?" "you can get your class schedule fit for you, and don't worry about my dad I'll get your schedule set from him" I immediately hug Hank. "you did this for me, thank you" He hugs me back. "I know you'd do it for me" -There you have it, congratulations you A just witnessed a pact between friends. A pact that was meant to be a promise to help each other out no matter what. Me and Hank didn't know that it would end the way it did.
