“The west side of the camp is clear, no prisoners, 2 wounded and healing” Beta Nolen mind linked back “Good. North, East, South and center of camp have been cleared, remain on standby until further instruction.” “Copy Beta.” Nolen closed the link and brought his attention back to the rogue building that had been harboring a few hundred rogues and was now being cleared. A mind link opens again “Beta the building is cleared with exception of an electronically locked room. The material is a thick steel that we are unable to break through, we are waiting for further instruction.” Nolen walked forward into the old bunker and met the center team lead in front of a large metal door, with thick metal from ceiling to floor encasing the door. It was the only room that had not been cleared. Beta Nolen walked into the adjacent room and felt the rough texture of the concrete wall. Nolen looked at the center team lead giving him orders to knock it down, he hoped that there wasn’t also metal behind the wall and if so, it wouldn’t be as thick. He walked back outside the bunker to update the Alpha on the progress of the mission, as Beta Nolen ended the call, he received another mind link from the Center Lead “Beta we broke through the wall we have one hostage and an infant.” The sound of a gunshot rings through the link and out through the bunker “Make that one infant I’m sending a man out with the child now.” The warrior hands the infant to Nolen, and he looks into the baby's emerald green eyes for a moment, they reminded him of his late wife’s. The soldier waited at attention for further instruction. Beta Nolen looks to the warrior who brought him the baby “I’ll take the child to the pack myself.”
