When Maggie decided to go to the hospital, the difficult-to-mention but fear-inducing condition had already been troubling her for months. Taking leave was relatively smooth; her boss, seeing her hesitant and downcast, likely understood it was a personal issue for a woman and didn't ask too many questions. Maggie, with a gloomy face, packed her bag and expressionlessly left the office, heading downstairs.
