The werewolf community is in trouble. Their numbers are dwindling and their strength is depleting. They are struggling to protect themselves from the mages and vampires. The King of the werewolves, and Alpha to the Imperial pack Jarin decides to consult a seer to see if anything can be done to prevent their extinction. The seer tells him the Alpha of the Imperial pack must have children with a hybrid in order to restore fertility to their kind. Atlas is beta of the Imperial pack. He is a known womaniser and has no interest in having a mate. Jarin entrusts him to find his hybrid bride and bring her back to him. In his search, Atlas comes across Thea, a young servant girl working in a human village. Abandoned as a small child in the stables of an inn, her only possession is an odd looking pendant she has always worn around her neck. Strange things happen around Thea that she can’t explain, and they are starting to put her in danger. Atlas discovers Thea is his mate, although a secret item around his neck prevents her from recognising him as hers. Meanwhile, an unlikely alliance with an old enemy makes Jarin think twice about marrying a hybrid. Will Atlas and Jarin choose love? Or will they choose the survival of their species?
