Reclaiming His WifeUpdated at Oct 8, 2021, 17:18
Two College best friends decide to enter into a five-year contract marriage of convenience. Mark Thomas, heir to his family’s billion-dollar enterprise proposes the arrangement as a way to get his annoying mother who insists he marries before being handed the reins of the family empire, off his back. The arrangement also enables his best friend Jessica Dublin, who reluctantly agrees, to remain in the United States after her student visa expires. It’s a win-win situation.
The goal: stay married for the five-year duration, maintain their friendship, keep the relationship platonic (that is, absolutely no SEX and no falling in LOVE).
The problem: a few months short of their third anniversary, Jessica decides she wants out of the marriage. She has fallen in love with Mark but comes to realize he could never return her feelings. Rather than stay and pretend everything is okay, she packs her bags, leaves everything behind and returns to the country of her birth.
The twist: Mark, shocked by Jessica’s sudden departure, finally admits to himself that he is in love with his wife. He follows her in an effort to win her love and reclaim her as his wife.
