Bequeathed to my Cold AlphaUpdated at Dec 4, 2024, 20:46
Jane's parents were killed in a rogue attack, but she survived. The attack took the lives of so many other high-ranking wolves, including the Alpha and Luna. The rest of the pack was saved by the Alpha's son, Jason. Jason became a sad and cold person after his parents were killed in such a brutal manner. But he braced himself to take care of the pack his father left behind. Instead of going the conventional way of waiting for his mate, Jason took a chosen because he thought his pack needed stability after the chaos left behind by the rogue attack. He wasn't ready to wait endlessly for a mate that might never show up. He made his first and only love, Hilda, his Luna. Hilda was an Omega girl he met at a neighboring pack during his travels there. Hilda was loved by everyone making Jason proud of the fact that he had chosen right. Then, one day, Hilda visited the pack's orphanage, where she met Jane. She had asked Jason to come along, but he had refused, stating the fact that the orphanage reminded him too much of the rogue attack, so he never went there. She fell in love instantly with the innocent-looking girl Jane. Hilda went back home and informed Jason of her intention to adopt Jane. Jason had nothing against it so Hilda went ahead and adopted Jane. The day Jane arrived at their house and Jason met her, his world tilted off balance. How could a child like Jane be his mate? He decided to keep it to himself and act coldly towards Jane instead. When the already pregnant Hilda observed Jason's Cold attitude towards Jane, she began to pester him for an explanation. When Jason couldn't keep it anymore, he confided in Hilda, but he told her he wanted nothing to do with Jane; she was only a child. Hilda's pregnancy took a big toll on her health. Being an Omega, she couldn't carry an Alpha child without risking her life. She was advised to abort the pregnancy but she refused. She even made sure Jason didn't know about the risk involved until it was too late. Hilda eventually gave birth to her child through a caesarian session, but it was too late for her. Accepting the fact that it was the wish of the moon goddess to be out of the way of true mates, she made sure she got the promise from Jason on her deathbed that he would make Jane his Luna after she was gone.Jason found it difficult to accept Jane as his Luna. He loved Hilda so much that the hatred he felt for the child Hilda gave birth to was so big. So big to the extent that he refused to lay eyes on the child for days after Hilda's death. He simply left the child in the hands of Jane. Jane always wondered what she did to Jason to deserve such hatred. But when she turned eighteen, she realized exactly who Jason was to her. From then on, it became a game of whether to accept and love or to reject and move on.
