Loneliness, pain, anguish, and fear were the feelings that took over the heart of Sean Salvatore, a great engineer who owned one of the largest construction companies in San Francisco. He was married for seven years to a beautiful, gentle, and sweet woman who gave him the happiest days. A happy man who lost his wife after the birth of his daughter closes himself off from the world. He built a wall around his heart and soul. He becomes such a cold-hearted and arrogant man that not even the smile of his beautiful little girl can melt his stone heart. But his life turns upside down when his mother, who takes care of his daughter, dies, leaving him no choice but to take care of the little girl whom he never paid attention to and cannot take care of.
He became desperate when he couldn't find anyone whom the mischievous little girl could get along with. He finds himself forced to hire the sweet and gentle Helena, a young woman who escaped a life being abused by her stepfather when her own mother kicked her out of the house. She saw it as a long-awaited freedom and the opportunity to have a completely different life from the one she had always lived. She leaves Sacramento, the city where she lived, and starts a new life in San Francisco, but nothing seems to go as she had planned. Without a job and the little money she had almost gone, she finds herself lost and not knowing what to do, but a light at the end of the tunnel arises when the opportunity to take care of a little girl without a mother and a completely absent father falls into her lap. She knows that she will face a rude and arrogant man who despises any kind of feeling, even love for his daughter, whom he blames for his wife's death.
But Helena, with all her gentle and sweet ways, will melt the wall that is Sean Salvatore's life, and he will discover that love can cure any pain. When he gets to know the real Helena, he will discover a new love he needs, but he will also discover his self-love and learn to love himself and everyone around him.
