Daredevil series…
Book 1 of the daredevil series.
Like every other night, she waited, she watched, she listened, she perceived and she stood like a dark shadow hovering over him.
Waiting, patiently she kept watch. She waited for the sound of the bullet that would pierce his heart. She waited for the sword that would pullout from its sheath to strike him, she waited for a roar, she waited for the fangs that would dream of piercing into his skin.
That had always been her job, her duty, her responsibility. She was always waiting, watching, keeping guard over her love. Damon Roxwell.
Being her source of life, the one to make it right again. The one to bring back her redemption and her salvation, she was determined to keep Damon safe and bring him back home with her, but till that happens, she was going to be his eyes and ears. She would spill blood one after the other till he stops being hunted by his predators. She would do just about anything to keep him safe, even living a double life. Even if she has to live in the shadows, even if she has to give him up to forever be lonely. Her love ran deeper. A saint during the day, a devil at night. More of a devil all the time.
Blood would flow for him. She would give up everything for her love, her soulmate, her destined one.
However, on that night, Damon had opened his eyes and he had seen her clearly. Recognition flashed in his eyes, remembrance came quickly and the memories forgotten were recovered. Then she understood, her other self was out there. He finally remembered the mate he had forgotten, the mate who watched him from afar, the love he should never have forgotten.
Perhaps, in another life, they might be allowed to be mates. It was too late already and their love and destiny had been doomed, cursed. It was to keep them apart and it would keep them apart.
But would he let it, would he let her? And for heaven’s sake, would the gods let them be?
A treacherous and forbidden love it was.
This time though, the gods truly made a mistake and they played such terrible game with the wrong mates. Unlike the other forbidden tale made by them, this might be their very last and only mistake. It would ruin them.
The fight was against fate and destiny itself. Nothing would keep them apart, not even the gods, not even death.
