Sweet Revenge for my Arranged HusbandUpdated at Oct 3, 2024, 05:00
Despite what others may think, I am not as fortunate as they perceive me to be, coming from a wealthy family where we seemingly control all businesses.
My mother passed away when I was just two years old, and neither my brother nor my father were capable of raising me.
They sent me to a boarding school at an early age to alleviate their concerns. However, what seemed like a curse eventually became a blessing in disguise, as I developed a gifted intellect.
My intelligence surpassed that of most others, but the initial problem with this was that I skipped many grades.
By the age of 15, I was already attending university, and by 19, I had already finished medical school.
However, being a young woman, I found it difficult to fit in with classmates who were several years older than me. Making friends became out of the question for me.
From the moment I was born, I was already engaged to be married. In the social circles my family moved in, this was considered normal. It was a common practice in closing business deals.
Throughout my life, I knew I would have to marry someone I didn't know, as my fiancé was a stranger until the day I turned 18 years old.
I finally met him on the day of our wedding. He was eight years older than me, and I only saw him when I reached the altar.
I can't say that it was a joyous moment when I laid eyes on him. I could see in his face that he wasn't happy to see me there.
He was quite handsome, with perfectly groomed dark hair, fair skin, and striking blue eyes. He had bushy eyebrows and broad shoulders.
The suit he wore seemed to have been tailor-made specifically for him. It showcased a well-toned physique. He was taller than me, and his presence was imposing. I was amazed to see a man so seemingly perfect.
However, what wasn't beautiful was the lack of interest I could see in his eyes toward me. On the other hand, I was a slender girl, lacking in curves, with fair skin, gray eyes, and dark hair.
I know I'm not ugly. In fact, many have praised my beauty and likened me to a doll. I had a small waist and long legs. I was tall, but not exceptionally so.
My life didn't change after the wedding; in fact, the situation worsened over time as both my brother and my father completely abandoned me.
I had all the luxuries imaginable but lacked a true family. When I got married, I had hoped to have the family I had longed for, but sadly, I was mistaken.
