Chapter 2: Norms Cafe

 POV ROSE****

    I jolt awake as I feel the sweat drip down my forehead. I look around my room and see it's empty. I exhale the deep breath I had taken. I get up out from under my covers and make my way to my bathroom. I open the door and turn on the shower. I look in the mirror and see my shirt is soaking wet. I pull off my moist shirt and shuffle out of my shorts. As I enter the cool shower I begin to wonder where I have seen that attractive man before. He had black hair with dark green eyes that you can get lost in. He looked around 6'3   and had a very defined jawline that could probably cut you, and his body looked like a god. 

    After I finish my shower I check my phone and see it's 7 am so I have an hour until my first day of senior year starts. I quickly called Addie to see if she wants a ride to school because her car is in the shop right now. Addie is one of the most popular girls in our school because she's beautiful, blonde,  has turquoise eyes and has a killer body. I am honestly jealous. I'm 5'6 brown hair grey eyed girl that blends in with everyone. "Hey babes can you pick me up for school and if you're ready can you come get me now so we can go get coffee from Norms cafe?" she asks as I laugh. "Of course we can go get coffee your mom is going to kill me for fueling your addiction with coffee". I say as I rummage through my dresser to find my ripped jeans. "Ah here they are" I look at my ripped jeans and smile. 

    "Rose put those jeans down, you're not wearing those things on the first day of school". I sigh "Ugh why not they are cute". Addie laughs and sighs. "Come on try to look cute for the first day I know you want to put on those old rags and put a hoodie over it come on!" she yells over the phone as I shrug. "Fine whatever I am still going to wear these but I will put on my red crop top and my leather jacket. Happy?" I ask as she sighs. "Fine that's better than wearing a hoodie I guess" I quickly walk to my closet and find my jacket and grab it and throw it on my bed. I find my red top and throw it on my bed. "Okay Addie let me get dressed and I will be over in ten. Okay bye" I say as I hang up. I quickly grab my underwear from my top draw along with my matching bra. I put on my clothing and grab my bag as I slip on my black boots. 

    If only Addie's car was fixed I would have taken my dad's motorcycle because he's on a business trip while my mom is keeping the neighbor company. I run into the kitchen, grab my water bottle and shove it into my bag, I look back at the counter and see my black cat Olly short for Oliver. I smile and pet him quickly as I run to the front door and lock it and run to Dodge Demon my mom bought me when I caught her f*****g Samuel the neighbor on the kitchen counter when dad was away. I quickly throw my bag in the back seat and start this beast and speed to Addie's house. "Hey Siri call Addie '' I tell my phone as my favorite song The world belongs to me pauses."Hello" I hear her cheerful voice say. "Hey I am outside let's go blonde". I stopped in front  of her house breaking my record of getting here which was 5 minutes and 32 seconds.

    I look to my right and see Addie wearing a black mini skirt with a pink top with feathers at the top wearing her favorite blush pink heels, and behind her is her boyfriend aka my other best friend. Addie is walking so slow that Apollo lifts her up bridal style and puts her in the back seat as he gets in the front. I laugh as she starts yelling at him. As soon as he gets into the car I press on the gas causing him to fly back into the seat. "Rosie calm down damn". he says as he puts on his seat belt. I make my way to the highway as I shift the car into gear and get it going at 95 mph Addie starts yelling at me to slow down. 

    "When did you get this bad boy". Apollo asks as she runs his hand across the window seal. I laugh and say "When I saw mommy dearest f*****g sexy Samuel". Apollo eyes widen as Addie starts laughing. I quickly pull off the freeway and make my way to the tiny town of Fire valley. I make my way down the Main Street and park in front of Norms. "Hey Apollo, go get our order I called Ally and told her our order. Thanks" Addie says as Samuel sighs and gets out. 

    I turn around and look at Addie who is pulling down her skirt. "You know you're bossy right". She looks up and smiles. "I know love and it's fine". I laugh as I turn around and feel my chest tighten. I see Mason Woods, the hottest guy at our school, also my Ex boyfriend of last week because he thought it would be cool to sleep with Alison Addies twin sister. I sigh as he leans in and kisses her. I see Apollo walk out carrying a bag and 4 cups of coffee. He gets in and hands the coffee to Addie and looks forward. "Hey Rosie don't worry okay". I look and see Apollo's arm on my shoulder. I shrug It off, and start my car. I hear my engine roar as Mason looks my way after prying his soft lips away from her. I quickly back out of my parking spot and floor the car. 

    I am driving so fast and in the moment that I do not realize we are at school until I hear Apollo. "SLOW DOWN ROSIE!" I quickly slow down the car and park in the front row of the student section. I put my car in park and look at a terrified Addie who is currently pale as Casper and Apollo who is smirking while laughing.

    I quickly grab my coffee from Addie and my bag and walk inside leaving them to calm down. I made my way to my locker from last year and put my belongings in it. After I put my bag in my locker I find Addie and Apollo at their lockers that happen to be right next to each other. Addie has calmed down as Apollo is hyper and is ready for round two. He turns around and spots me and quickly walks over to me and drags me towards Addie. "Hey Rosie after school can we do that again please." I look at a mortified Addie as she looks like she's about to puke. I smile towards her. 

    "Don't worry Addie I won't do it again while you're in the car". She smiles and lets out the breath she was holding. I laugh as I link her arm and walk to the main office. We walk through the doors and see Maggie the school slut handing out the schedules to everyone. I shake my head as we make our way to her. "Hey Maggie how was your summer.'' She smiles and hands us our schedules. 

    "It was amazing actually my mom and dad left for the whole summer so I had the whole place to myself and let me say it was amazing". She winks as I awkwardly smile. Maggies parents are never home and always are on "Business Trips" but I recently found out from my father that her father just leaves her here because he doesn't want to deal with her and the mom I don't know what the f**k she does at this point. Maggie sleeps around hoping for comfort from a guy that's going to come in and sweep her off her feet and give her the love and support her family lacks. 

    I've tried befriending Maggie but after she tried to sleep with Mason while we were hanging out I quickly distanced myself from her. "That's nice thanks for the schedules" before I could walk away she grabbed my arm. "wait did you hear there's a hot new teacher, I saw him this morning and let me say he's a fine ass one". I laugh and pull my arm from her. 

    "Well we will have to wait and see what he looks like''. she smiles and walks to the other students. I look down at my schedule and see I have English, Math, History, and T.A. with my new History teacher. I  only have four classes because I'm a senior and I was in AP classes throughout high school so I get to leave after my TA class which is after lunch. "Hey guess do you know who Mr. Asher is?" I look up and see everyone turned towards the hallway. I see a man who is wearing a white dress shirt and black tie and is holding a black briefcase. He looks so familiar. I just don't know where I had seen him before. All of the girl's eyes follow as he walks down all the guys stare in admiration of who this man is. 

    This reminds me of a scene out of a movie where someone who everyone wants to be with or wants to be is walking. I make eye contact with him as he smirks then smiles and walks into room 269. "Who was that guy?" Addie is speechless as Apollo is laughing his ass off. "That's Mr.Asher the new History Teacher from New York". I look behind Apollo and see Mason holding Allison and she just smirks and kisses him. After they pull away I walk up to them and hug Allison she is taken back from it and finally hugs me back. I pull away as I look right into her eyes "How cute is that you stole my boyfriend, Well ex Boyfriend now. Good for you how it feels to be a home-wrecker". I see all the color drain from her face when I whisper in her ear and say. "Don't worry sweetie you did me justice by snatching him away. I was way out his league and could do much better than him". I looked at Addie who was smirking.

    Allison tried to walk away as I snatched her arm and pulled her back and got into her face. "If you ever try to show off what you stole from me like a f*****g slut I will bass your face in. Got it?" I said and she quickly nodded. I let go of her hand and pushed her towards a smirking Mason who looked at me with lust.

 I scrunch my face in disgust as I walked to my first period with Mrs. Mitchell. She smiled as I walked in and I smiled back and sat in the back and wished this day was over.
