"Mrs. Uddin your daughter has many complaints against her brought by either teachers or students." "Can you please tell me Mr. Carlton  what those complaints are about?" "Well according to what I have been told rosa does not act her age and it has been distracting some of the other teachers and her peers." "Ok, out of the teachers who teach rosa how many have complained?" "None." "So I still do not see the problem here, the kids can have a problem with it but if the teachers are still teaching her, if she is still learning and if she is not disturbing the class there is no reason for me to be here. Am I correct?" "Very. But I just as a precaution have to conduct this meeting so it can not be held against me as ignoring the complaints. I hope that you understand." "I do understand but unless she is jeopardizing anyone's life or her life is in jeopardy or she's in a fight please do not continue to contact me about anything as little as this." "Understood. But can I at least have the fathers contact information it is not listed." "He does not have rights to her so no you may not and there is no one else who you should be contacting. Is that Understood Mr. Carlton?" "Yes mam." My mother walked out of the office and saw me sitting in the chair right next to the door she doesn't know that I heard everything that just happened. "Come along rosa" "Yes mom" I walk silently behind her towards the car many people pass by saying "Hi Firuza" or whistling to try and get her attention. We make it to the car quietly and I sit down in the front when she  gets in the car we just sit there and say nothing the silence is deafening, I want all the tension to stop. Finally she say's "Rosa, I'm guessing you heard the conversation?" "No" "I know that you did honey, you're not in trouble. Ok?"she says looking at me softly "Yes mom" "You know sometimes you worry me. Having you is like raising two children at once a 18 year old and a 5 year old" "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset" "No, no honey don't worry im not upset I just want you to know*groans*I love you ok?" " mhm" "Let's go home, I made spaghetti and meatballs, there's also ice cream for after" I smile up at her and nod I love ice cream. At Home "Rosa I really don't understand how you manage to make such a mess with even the simplest things" she looked at me flustered I returned the look with an innocent smile. "Don't smile at me child" I just giggle and go to the living room to put on Tangled. It is my favorite, most favorite movie. My mom walks into the room and sits down beside me we cuddle and watch the movie. Halfway through she pauses the movie"Hey what you do that for?" "Honey I have to tell you something first then we can finish watching the movie ok?" "Ok"I say sadly looking at the frozen screen "We're moving." She automatically presses play again, but I sit there dumbfounded. Did she really just say that we're moving. I look up at her completely ignoring the screen now. "Did you say we're moving?" "Yes we are. To California. Next week. So we can spend Christmas in the new house and we can get you're school transfer finalized." "But I don't wanna move"I say softly. She wraps her arms around me "I know honey but we have to. But don't worry we are going to have let's of fun." I nod return the hug and silently go into my room. This will be the longest wait of my life. One week later "I'm coming mom I have to get titanic first that's the name of my large stuffed cheetah I left her upstairs!" "Ok hurry at this rate we are going to be late to the airport!" I run down the stairs and crash into her standing at the front door. "Owie" "Rosa come on" she laughs as I stand up and run to the car I hop in the back and sit on my purple and red carseat it is beautiful. Mom drives to the airport she hits many bumps and I laugh at each one while I bounce. We finally get there and we make it on the plane just in time before they close the doors. "Mom I have a question" "Yes?" "Are we gonna get a new car now?" "No, the car is going to meet us at the house tomorrow afternoon" "Oh how?" "Magic!" "Magic, that's so cool!" "Yeah I know." "So why didn't we use magic to get to the new house?" "Well we can't use magic all the time or people will get suspicious" "smart" I sat there thinking extra hard what kind of magic is being used? ######################################################### “Rosa… Rosa! What are you doing? C’mon get up. Were here don’t you wanna see the new house?” “Yes” “So get up then, please?” my mother begged me. I slowly got up rm the back seat of the rental car and stood next to it holding my arms to my chest, I looked up at the house and stared in awe at its presentation. Are we really living in that house? “Yes we are sweetheart do you like it?”  “oops! I said that out loud?” “Yup” I blush and we both start to laugh as we start to walk towards the new house.
