Olivia’s POV I woke up the next morning feeling tired; I didn’t realize that I had overslept. My mother would kill me if she found out I was still in bed this time. I slowly dragged myself out of bed and went to clean my face and brush my mouth. I finished cleaning ad went to make my bed. After finishing, I changed my pajamas into trousers and a blacktop. I got out of my room, heading out where I was welcomed by a vast corridor going left and right. I turned right going downstairs to the kitchen; I had a tour of the house yesterday, so I knew where exactly the kitchen was, I walked by the stairs and found Paul coming back upstairs. He vividly smiled at me. “Good morning O, how are you?” He cheerfully greeted me. O?  I wanted to laugh, when did I ever ask him to call me that. “Morning,” I mumbled under my breath walking downstairs. “Did you enjoy your night?” he inquired “Yes, I did. Thank you” I responded with my head lowered down, “That’s great, Abby has made some very nice croissants. Why don’t you try them?” he mentioned, I didn’t want to say anything else, so I just gave him a small nod before walking to the dining room. I found my aunt was busy on her laptop and phone and Abby was busy bringing things in the dining room, “Good morning,” I said to no one in particular. I didn’t know how to address Aunt Rita, so I avoided mentioning names. “Hey Olivia, how was your night?” She cheerfully greeted me as I took a deep breath, looking at her. “How are you?” She added on without giving me a chance to answer. “It was a pleasant night. How are you?” I responded as she nodded her head in affirmation. “Why don’t you join me for breakfast?  I am trying to find a school for you,” She said to me as I raised my eyebrows looking at her. “A school?  Why?” I questioned her sitting down on one chair, she giggled looking at me. “Do you want to be a school dropout?” She questioned stopping what she was doing. I shook my head, lowering it in embarrassment. “Good, now why don’t you have breakfast then we can look at the school together. With your grades it will be like pancakes to find you a wonderful school,” She added on as Abby served my breakfast. Inwardly I was asking myself why she was being kind to me despite not knowing me. Did she have a hidden agenda?  Was she thinking of using me with her husband?  I have heard of stories where couples have s*x with minors just to please their s****l desires, and my mother warned me against such. Paul came back to join us as he sat next to Aunt Rita, Paul kept stealing glances at me which made me feel uncomfortable as I finished having my breakfast and took out my plate to the kitchen. When I came back to the dining room, I overheard them talking. I need to know exactly what these people were planning even though it was unpleasant manners eavesdropping, but I still had to do it. “What do you think about school?” I heard Aunt Rita talk to Paul, who sighed. “I don’t know honey; I love that it’s multiracial, but it’s just not fit for her. It will be hard for her,” Paul said to Aunt Rita. “I know she will have to drop a few classes, but I know she will do great,” Aunt Rita convinced Paul “Fine, but at least let her decide. Also, I want you not to act like her mother, let her be an adult,” He said to her, and she chuckled. “Come on! I can never take her place. Rosa was a brilliant woman while I am…” She wanted to tell, her voice shaking. “It’s fine, I will let you decide whatever you think is best for her but only with her consent,” He emphasized, I walked in and found him stroking her hair. “Perfect timing! We were just talking about you.” She said to me as I walked in, going to sit on one chair. “Honey, I will see you later, okay?” Paul said kissing her temple before waving bye at me. “Come sit here,” She said gesturing for me to sit next to her, I went there and sat down she had her laptop’s windows open. I looked at the screen and she had a school open, “So I was thinking this school, We can go there today and you can have a look around if you don’t like it I have a few other ones that you can go to,” She said to me as I swallowed hard looking at her. “May I?” I asked her so I can look at the screen. ‘Sure, go ahead” She said to me, moving her head as I leaned on the table checking the first page. I looked at her scrolling on the school page with unfamiliar things; I looked at the pictures and it amused me. “What do you think? Should we go there?” She inquired from me as I moved away from the table. “Why are you kind to me?” I questioned making her raising her eyebrows in shock. “Olivia… Why are you asking me that question?” “It’s not a hard question to answer,” I said to her, she swallowed hard looking at me. “Well, I am your aunt, and I promised your mother that I would take care of you.” She replied looking at me. “Olivia, I know I haven’t been in your life for a long time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you. I would have done the same for your mother if she allowed me.” She said to me, I looked in her eyes and she was sincere with me. “Okay, we can go to the school,” I said to her saying nothing more to her. She smiled at me getting the number before calling. “Why don’t you change into something else then we can go?” She questioned. “Okay,” I said as she gave me an affirming nod. I made my way back to my room and changed into something else. I wore a gray vest and blue jeans. My auntie looked at me from head to toe before she goes in the car, We arrived at the school and aunt Rita just met the school’s Admissions manager she had spoken to earlier. I was just following behind, saying nothing. “Can I use the restroom?” I asked the manager. “That’s fine, you will find us down the hall,” she said to me as I quickly rushed to the restroom. I quickly got in and helped myself before I walked out. I joined my aunt, who was so happily chatting with the lady. “Thank you, I will have a chat with Olivia and my husband before we decide” I heard my aunt say as I walked towards them as the lady looked at me smiling. “I am sure she will come back,” the lady said “Thank you, have a superb day,” She said to me as I walked away with my aunt. “So, what do you think?” Aunt Rita asked me as we walked to the parking lot. “Uh… I think it’s okay. I just didn’t see the school transportation,” I mentioned to her, and she looked at me. “We will have a personal driver for you.” She said to me as I turned to look at her. “What?” “Yes, I don’t think it will be convenient for you to use the bus,” She said to me as I nodded my head. ********* “So how did it go?” My uncle asked during dinner as I focused on my food. “Well, she liked the school and she’s….” My aunt started explaining as Paul clears his throat, looking at Aunt Rita from the side. “It seems like an excellent school,” I said saying nothing else. “If you like it, then we can pay so you don’t fall far behind,” He said to me and I nodded my head in affirmation “Great! I will ask them to organize the aptitude test for you,” My aunt said as I nodded my head. “The owner of the School is a VIP customer at one of our stores, so it’s fine for you to go there even if you don’t do well,” Paul added one. We went on having dinner as and we finished I helped clear the table and went to the kitchen to clean with Aunt Rita. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>  Three days later  I was being picked up by the driver for the aptitude test. Normally it would take Fourteen working days but because my aunt knew one owner of the school, they organized it within days. I wore a floral marron dress, denim jacket, and maroon boots. I tied my hair behind and grabbed my bag before leaving. I arrived at the school with the driver who dropped me off; I made my way towards the administration block after my online test; I wanted to use the restroom and upon entering the bathroom my eyes couldn’t believe what it saw. Two people were making out in the lady’s bathroom, I almost vomited. “I am sorry” I quickly apologized turning to leave. “Who are you?” the boy’s voice came, making me stop in my tracks. “I am nobody. Please excuse me” I said rushing out of the bathroom going to the car. I was struggling to breathe as I held my chest. I didn’t think I would ever find people making out in bathrooms. The driver wasn’t yet here, so I stood by one pillar looking at the parking lot. I was about to leave when someone stood in front of me, stopping me. It was the boy from earlier; I stepped back swallowing hard as I remembered him with that girl. He was about a foot taller than me and his blue eyes shot daggers at me looking at me like I was trash. He was in black jeans, a tight shirt, and black boots. “What you saw earlier…” His soft gloomy voice spoke, his voice sent down chilly shivers down my spine as I took a deep breath. “I saw nothing…” “Good!”  He said to me walking away. I just looked at him walking away, I looked at his back as he walked away when the driver gestured for me he had arrived.
