The Runaway Bride

Chapter 2

Scared to be with someone you don't know. That should be my feelings in this situation but trusting felix really make me feel something weird but then I trust him.

Just like Reagan wants I didn't slept in felix's house it is not totally because about what Reagan wants but it is also showing respect to him as my boss.

"Jade are you sure I can be with you here?" I asked her.

"Of course Elysse" she said with a smile plaster on her lips.

She said I can sleep with her in her apartment just near the hotel and besides our schedule for work is the same. I checked my phone and see if bella message me again.

Bella:

Hey b***h! Did you Remember what is the name of your fiancè?

First of all tita Beatrice never told me the name of that man even the middle initial.

Me:

I don't remember.

I heard someone knock and Jade is inside the bathroom without any hesitant I open the door and reagan was outside the apartment.

"What are you doing here?" I boredly asked him.

He stared at me blankly.

"If you have nothing to say Sir, just go home"

When I'm ready to close the door he used his arm to stop the door to close.

"Why did you Runaway?" He asked me.

My left eyebrow raised. "Excuse me Sir? What are you talking about?"

He look like a mess did he drink too much whisky? What Runaway is he talking about? Maybe he still can't forget the girl who didn't show up on his wedding day. I wonder if the man who I bound to marry was like him?

"Elysse! Who is that?" Jade looked out who I was talking to.

"Sir Reagan! Come in"

"He's drunk Jade"

"We are now on a legal age Elysse" Jade said.

"Yes we are, but he is old enough to be with us" I hardly convinced Jade.

"I'm Just 26" he said.

"Find!"

I didn't offer him to get inside. Jade entertain him he already sitting on the sofa when I get back outside. He was massaging his forehead I go to the kitchen and gave him a glassbof water.

The apartment of jade is quite small she only have one room. this apartment is exclusively for one person since she welcome here everything was inside of this apartment is belong to the both of us.

I saw Jade huriedly using her shoes. "Where are you going?" I asked her.

"Work. there is something happened there and Sir Felix needs me" she said nonstop.

Great! She left me in no words. Reagan is sleeping on the sofa.

"what would I do to you" I whispered.

Instead of bringing him inside our room I lay him down comfortably and put on a blanket as I was doing that he suddenly pulled out my arm and rested on his chest.

I swallowed my saliva. "Get me off Sir" I said.

"You make me look foolish in the eyes of many people" he said softly.

"I don't know what you are talking about" I said and removed myself on him.

I watched him fall asleep before deciding to go into the room. I wish one day someone will like me the way Reagan shows his love for his Runaway Bride. If only I had known that the man who I'll was the same man as Reagan I would not have run away from them.

"But he is not" I said to myself.

The next day I heard someone is talking outside I left the room immediately then I saw Jade and Reagan is happily talking to each other.

"You just met her the previous day?" Reagan asked.

"Yeah and I don't believed she is working because she needs money" Jade said.

"Why?"

They are talking about me. What should I do to make them belived that I'm not a rich girl.

"See her body, her skin and even the way she acts"

Oh God! Just because my physical appearance makes them think that I'm a rich girl? Unbelievable.

"Good Morning" I greated them to interrupted what they are talking.

"Elysse! Sit here and eat" she tapped the vacant chair besides her.

She was on my side and Reagan was infront of us. I just ate quietly and listened to their talk sometimes I answered their questions.

"Elysse, Why did you run away from your marriage.. on your wedding day?" Jade curiously asked.

I bite my lower lip their attention was on mine.

"Because I don't know that man and maybe he is a jerk" I simply said.

Reagan let go of the spoon he was holding. He was looking at the plate blankly maybe something is bothering on him.

"They didn't tell you?"

I just nodded.

"Excuse me" I said and leave them both alone.

I feel uncomfortable talking to them about what happened to me that's why I went out of my way to be free and do what I wanted without anyone controlling me.

I received a message from unknown.

Unknown:

Where are you? Its already 7:00.

Felix.

Fucking s**t!! I should be there before seven in the morning I ran to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

"Jade I need to go now"

"Let me drive you" Reagan offered.

"No thanks, the is just near I can walk"

I'm already walking when I feel someone walking behind me without a doubt I turned around and looked at who it was.

Its just Reagan.

"Where's your car Sir?" I asked without looking at him.

"I left it in front of your apartment" he asnwer.

"Tss."

When I--- we arrive at hotel I saw felix ar the front desk he was entertaining customers.

"Felix!"

"First name basis" Reagan whisper.

He always make issue to us. does he think I like felix? He is responsible and kind plus his good looking So, maybe someday i will like him.

"Elysse!" Felix called me too.

"I'm sorry I'm Late I forget my schedule" I said.

"Its okay"

We already exchanged position because someone is calling him maybe about business. There are many customers today

I was the only one at the front desk because my my partner was not going to work she is not feeling well and felix looking for someone who can swap to help me.

Someone would be checking out now its already late for them to check out I saw a girl walking toward the front desk. Relax astrid show them you weren't pissed at them.

"Hi there. Are you checking out now?" I said in a smiling face.

"Yes, sorry. I know we're a few minutes late" the girl said.

Seems like she just woke up.

"That's no problem. It's always really busy at check out time anyway"

Yes! I'm very busy now then you didn't even think about checking out.

"Oh, really. The last hotel we stayed in charged us for a late check out"

I should do that though.

"The hotel isn't booked this week, so it's not a problem. How was everything?"

"The room was great. The beds were really comfortable, and we weren't expecting our own fridge"

Reagan is walking towards here and then when he arrive the girl turn to look at him.

"I'm glad you liked it" I said straightly to get her attention again.

"I'm just disappointed that the pool wasn't open this morning, though" she said but she was really looking at reagan.

"Hi" he said softly

I rolled my eyes to her she doesn't even looking at me but Reagan noticed it and chuckled. Relax Astrid I did breathe out and continue to entertained.

"I apologize for that. We can't get a cleaner in any earlier than 10 am"

"Well we had a nice swim last night anyhow" her attention is with me now.

"Will you be putting this on your credit card?"

"No. I'll pay cash" she direcly said.

"OK. So the total comes to 6,210.15, including tax"

"I thought it was 5,774.78 even. That's what they said yesterday when we checked in"

They want to stay to hotel and then complained about the payment. She really getting on my nerve.

I cleared my throat. "Yes, but there is an extra room charge on your bill"

"Oh, I forgot. My husband ordered a plate of snack Sorry"

"Do you have a husband?" Reagan asked.

Whoaa! She is married already and she act like she doesn't have a husband. Unvelievable. I immediately get her money and gave her the change.

"Now, I'll just need to ask you for your room keys"

I took the key immediately.

"Thank you ma'am" I said with a wide smile.

You can go now and get lost! Bitch

"Good morning Sir"

And now I'm talking to Reagan he's a customer too and my job is to entertain customers.

"What name is the reservation under?" I asked him.

"How long will you be staying here?"

"Sir if you don't take this a serious one then find another hotel"

he reached out my hand when I was about to leave.

"I'll stay here until you are here"

"It cannot be Sir"

"I have money to pay" he said.

I sigh. "Are you planning on checking out tomorrow?" I seriously asked him but he I did not get any answer.

"What type of vehicle are you driving?"

"Car" he simply said.

"Complimentary breakfast is served in the lobby between 8 and 10 am"

"I want you to serve it for me" he still doesn't remove his eyes to me.

"We have a persons to serve it to you Sir"

I get the key and give it to him. "I'll give you two room keys.The dining room is on the main floor at the end of the hall. Just call the front desk if you need any extra towel"

To end our crazy conversation I didn't asked him anything.

"Felix" I decided to call him and apologized what happened yesterday.

Reagan stop what he iandoing in his phone he still infront of me.

"I just want to apologized what happened yesterday and about me staying to Jade's apartment"

"Its okay Elysse, why don't we eat lunch together you've been very busy since you have started to work" he said.

"Okay I'll call once I'm done here" I said.

I cut our line but Reagan was still looking at me as if he was waiting for me to tell something to him.

"Good morning Sir" there was another call from one of the customer.

Remembering the first I faced the complainant and there's something bad happened to me so now I am not facing them anymore.

"Extra towel?"

"Okay sir it will be there as soon as possible" when I cut the line Reagan stop me from standing on the chair.

"I'll take it" he said.

"No thanks Sir, someone will take it there" I said.

why is he not leaving my presence yet? Its annoying he already has a room and he is so flirty.

"Can you please go to your room now Sir"

"I still want to see you" and he chuckled.

I just ignored him.

"Good morning Sir" I smiled.

I have noticed that why seems like boys are always checking in right now.

"How much is your service Miss?"

suddenly my eyes widened at his question.

"Are you rude?!" Reagan angrily asked.

"Why do you care?!"

I hold reagan arm to stop him.

"I can handle this" I said in a low tone.

"Sir if you don't lik our service hers you freely to move out" I said calmly.

"I like it here so it is more better when you have extra service and I know you want it"

I calm myself before talking. "Sir--"

I didn't finish what I supposed to say as Reagan punched the bastard. I walked out of the front desk to stop their stuttering I grabbed Reagan's arm to stop him.

"Please Calm down Reagan!" I hissed.

he pulled me out of the hotel and drove me to his car.

"Sir I have a work so get me off of here!"

"I will call Felix" he said.

I would have dropped off his car as he locked the door I haven't done anything yet.
