Issac king. "Yeah, whatever I've heard you," "Junior, I don't want to hear that. Say it properly and let me know you understand." My jaw clenchs at the words of my father. "Of course. Yes sir." Sacarsm lacing my tone as I speak. "Good. I believe you have classes soon?" "Yeah," I reply plainly. "Okay son. That's all, call me if you need anything." "Yeah," I reply nonchalantly once again, before hanging up. I run a hand through my hair, before settling my fingers on the bridge of my nose, recalling the words of my father which seems not to falter even after so many utters of hearing it. The relationship between I and my father, is somewhat complicated and not like your normal father to son relationship, but well nowadays it's hard to find that father to son relationship. And what are we talking about? The same thing over again, about focusing on what I came here to do and not dive into the hormonal attitude teenagers behave. Like I'm not one! My deal with my father, and why we never get along is that he wants me to be grown up, he wants me to not act my age and be matured enough to take care of his own business after my two elder brothers have decided they wanted to go different paths, than taking over company. And who's best to take over the business when my brothers refuse. Freaking Issac king. And to even make the scenario more perfect, I'm schooling in one of the most prestigious school among the countries, winning the indigenes heart here and abroad. "What's up man?" Drake taps me on the shoulder. "You're not going to class?" he asks, seeing as I'm still standing at the dorm corridors. "Yeah, yeah I'm going. Let's go," I push away the conversations with my father, as drake and I go to class. Since it's first period for basic Biology, Drake and I, with the rest of the soccer team get to the class before the bell rings, as we sit waiting for miss Davidson to come in,  once the bell rings. "Man, Jane and I are so done," Chris, a teammate says. "i***t, that's what you said last time," Flinch cuts in, making us chuckle. "No, but I mean it this time. She's so complicated, one minute she's saying yes, the next it's a no," Chris adds, showing his dismay. "Oh you mean about the s*x stuff?" drake asks, turning to face him. "Yeah that and other stuffs," Chris expression changes, probably thinking of he and his girlfriend. The story is, Jane and Chris are a couple or were a couple based on his statement. Chris wants to go far with Jane, when it comes to intimacy, but as he would put it, she's hesitant, and I don't blame her. Everyone wants to move at their own pace and not be rushed. "Cut the girl some slack Chris, give her time. Just because you guys were dating even before coming here doesn't mean she's at her own pace yet. Eventually, it'll happen, you just gotta be patient," I finally speak up, as Chris and the rest all remain silent. "woah! Now I know why you're really our captain. That talk alone is enough to snap me back to my senses," Chris speaks looking at me adoringly, as I smile genuinely. "Oh wait, aren't those the girls from the locker room?" Chris peeps our attention, as we look up. "It's them," Tony confirms from behind. "Oh wow, I never knew they were this hot. Damn!" Flinch comments, as I turn to him chucking lightly seeing a smirk on his lips. I turn back, looking at them again, my eyes catching glance of the girl I met at the basketball court. The first time I saw her at the court, seeing her play got me intrigued without even seeing her face. The way she bounced the ball, moved her body  and scored effortlessly. And when I called recalled her from the locker room, I was even more intrigued. It's not everyday girls sum up the courage into a boy's locker room. "Why don't we tease them a bit, watch you think?" Tony suggests as the rest of the guys accept. I lean back wanting to see their reaction when the guys tease them, but that is soon interrupted as miss Davidson comes in. The agenda is soon forgotten as miss Davidson starts to teach, after giving out all the pleasantries. "In our ecosystem, nature must be balanced as we all know. Such as where we have life and death, parasitic and  mutualism. In order for the ecosystem to be balanced all these need to happen." "Having a mutual relationship is something common to you students, where you have a relationship let's say, a personal relationship with someone, and your feelings from that person is 100%, you expect the same 100% from that person, which I'm sure you all know. Before we get to the point of where we're going today, I'd like someone to give me a defined example of a parasitic relationship, just to jog everyone's memory." miss Davidson talks, as she scans the whole room. "Demica can you give me a detailed example of a parasitic relationship based on what we're discussing today?" she calls, setting her eyes on the girl from the court. Demica So that's her name. She gets up from her seat, with her back facing me as she beings to answer, but get cut off when Vera backlash her. I mentally roll my eyes at the comment Vera passes, but that soon turns to a smirk as the reply Demica give back to Vera, shows just her feisty her mouth is. Oh she knows how to talk. The way she talks, makes me remember back at the court and how she fouled the game, making her win when she knew I was going to. And I've come to know one thing about her. She's smart. And maybe cunning too. Miss Davidson scolds the little drama, as Vera stays with a scrowl on her face, as she turns to me. "Want to get something done tonight?" she whispers, as miss Davidson's attention stays away from us. "I told you already Vera, it was just supposed to be a one time thing," I tell straight forwardly. "But it wasn't, and we did it countless times," she corrects me. I stay quite, watching miss Davidson before I speak again. "Correction, it was thrice, and it should stay that way," I tell her. "Why? What are you so scared of? Why don't you want to make us official?" Vera asks me silently. "We talked about this Vera, I told you I can't be in any relationship, and what happened between us just happened out of l**t and you know that, we knew it was no strings attached. Please let's not talk about this again, we have a whole lot of schedules to keep up with." and with that I end the conversation there, as she doesn't contemplate with me anymore. Vera is not a bad person, and there is definitely nothing wrong in dating her. Though she can be really mean to people she doesn't fancy, and doesn't tolerate competitions through the time I have known her. But, I can't. The words of my father ringing in my head, as he warns me about disrupting any from of distractions and follow through on getting the straight scholarship from here. Peach potters high, release one scholarship for the best overall student of the year, and the spotlight about the scholarship isn't just about free education, because money is definitely not the issue for us. It's the reputation, the advantage and respect for my father - that being that one of his offsprings got to attend the one of the best schools in the world, when taking over the company. So it's not just me, but my father. I don't love Vera, and what we have is far from love, though I don't doubt if I allow us to be closer than this, there is a probability of my feelings changing slightly. The class ends, leaving us to go out and prepare for the next class. I switched off my phone, after talking to my father, and I don't plan on switching it back on till the end of the day. Who knows what he may come up with again. It's not like I don't have a choice, or can't choose what I want to do. But, ever since my brothers decided to choose a different path, it took a toll on my father making me put myself in his shoes. I don't blame my brothers also, as everyone has what they are called for, and I definitely do not have a problem taking over my father's company, but he is going too far with this and beginning to tell me how to live my life. For God's sake I'm 19! I still have a long way to go, and a lot of things to experience, but the way he sees it, I'm older than that, and if he could have his way I would take over immediately, making me become frustrated and pissed off at the whole situation. "Oh damn! Tony posted this stuff," Drake who is beside me speaks, while his attention is on his phone. "What stuff?" I ask him, as we stop on our tracks. "The girls who barged into the locker room, the video," Drake tells me, bending his phone so I can see the video of Demica and her friend in the boys locker room. Shit! "I thought we agreed to let this go and not get public?" I speak with drake who seems tio busy with his phone. I look around to see some other students talking about the same video, knowing its gone viral. "Yeah, but it doesn't matter. I guess he decided to post it anyway. It's fun to watch," drake comments with a chuckle. "No drake, it does matter. s**t!" I curse under my breath as drakes looks at me worriedly. "What's up man? It's just a video," he tells me. Yeah to you it's just a video. A video I may have promised not to release. Though I didn't necessarily promise her I wasn't going to release the video as I didn't even care, and it didn't matter to me, but now she'll have no idea it wasn't my doing. We may have only agreed on the name, but it doesn't mean anyone would be happy about a trending video viewing them as perverts. I run a hand through my hair, as I pick out my phone and switch it on before waiting for it to come up while looking around to find Tony. Where the hell are you Tony? My search to find him, lands me to meet the gaze of a certain girl, as her eyes fills with anger and hurt. Shit! Just when I was avoiding Complications. Demica starts to walk towards me, her gaze not leaving mine, until she reaches me. "Really? Seriously?" Those are the first words to come out of her mouth. "I thought we had a deal... Oh right we didn't," her voice hardening as I don't say a word. "I thought you said you didn't play dirty and only play fair. So what happened now?  Because my name and my friend's name are all over the school's blog. If you knew you wanted to release such, why make go through the trouble of even believing you?" she shakes her head in disbelief. "But, I don't blame you, you don't owe me anything, neither do I. I don't know you and I don't want to anymore. I thought you were at least responsible, but here it is, shoving our names out there as perverts, when you don't know what actually happened," she says with heavy breaths. "You're not going to say anything?" she asks me, as I only stare at her, noticing the color of her eyes. "Well now I know that some people are just the same. Utterly mean!" she adds, before looking at me one more time and turning her back away from me. She starts to walk away, and I begin to feel the hollow pit grow in my stomach. "Demica!" I call her name, as she stops. She turns to face me, her expression showing just how this affects her. "I'm sorry." is the only thing I'm able to utter. She scoffs in disbelief again, turning permanently and walking away with her friends, while the next bell rings. "What was that man?" drake asks having witness all. "I may or may have not made a promise to someone," I tell him before we walk to our next class. ---------------- "What the hell Tony?" I meet him in the changing room. "What's up?" Tony questions at my outburst. "Didn't we agree that we're not going to release that video, then why did you?" my voice going lower, when we start to gain attention from the team. "The video of those girls?" he furrows his eyebrows. "Yeah." "That was just for fun. It was just too funny not to," Tony answers. "Seriously Tony? Just for fun. What about what we said about just letting it go? And then the comment over it?" "Oh, that was Vera," he answers, a it is my turn to furrow my eyebrows. "Vera? What does Vera have to do with this?" I ask. "She's the one who told me to write such a comment," "Why would Vera tell you to do such?  What's her deal?" I become perplexed. "I don't know man,  I don't know. Something of some beef against she and one of the girls I think. Not that it matters," Tony shrugs his shoulders. Beef? Oh God Vera! "But it does matter Tony. We having a deal not to release the video, definitely I have a reason and you just made me look like a douche," I tell him factly. "I'm sorry man, I didn't think it was that serious," I sigh, running a hand over her hair. "Are you sure Vera has nothing more to do than just the comment?" I ask him again. "Well, she heard us talking about the video in basic bio, and after we left the class she came up to meet me, wanting me to post it and since I felt there's nothing wrong with posting it I did," Tony explains. Of course! "Tell me Tony, did you really do that for free?" knowing Tony he always sees an opportunity. He chuckles lightly, confirming my suspicion. "We're going to hook up," he says plainly, as I nod my head gently. And then she wants me to make us public. Like hell! "Of course. Just take down the video immediately." I inform him. "Okay, but what's your deal with it?" he asks. "I just told you, you made me look like a douche, that's my deal. And now you owe me," I tell him, as I start to leave. "Issac king, don't you dare!" he yells in between chuckles as I distance him. "Take it down Tony!" I get out after knowing he heard me. But again, why do I even care?
