Chapter 3

The drive to my team's hideout is always relaxing, very soothing for me. All the lights look like a sea of lights, but when you drive through the city and go out further into the countryside, they look like stars. It took me less than ten minutes to get there; I love how fast my car goes. My car is a black Land Range Rover. It is one of my favorite cars to drive while I'm out exploring the world; at my own place not far from here, I have around five cars. BMW X6, Ford Explorer ST, Lamborghini Urus, Matte Black Dodge Challenger SRT, and my favorite, the black Landrange rover, I was able to buy all of them out right. I've been assassinating people for money for years now, since I was seven. That's all I know now; I can't imagine how my life is going to change now. Our hideout is a three-story mansion, with a basketball court, pool, a back yard, and a big ten-foot metal gate that goes around the property. The property itself is about five acres, a lot of open land. We use some of it for our training as a group, and individual training too. The front gate is a ten feet tall reinforced steel metal, you can't get in unless you have key card. It's black almost an inch thick card, you place it on a black flat surface near the call box/doorbell, with the key card the gate will open automatically for one minute, If not then you have to wait to be buzzed in. The big ass gates opened for me, I quickly drove inside, so my car and myself doesn't get crushed. The drive is long and wide, enough for twenty cars. I parked next to a Polestar 1, that's Ace's car. He's finally here after two nights. Ace is one of my team members, he's what you call a player or a man w***e, but he is the craziest guy, and I know a lot and that's saying something. In our group, he's the weapons specialists and combat teacher, he's a genius when it comes to his specialty even though he's goofy and not serious person. I scan the huge front yard, it's the size of an football field and the house, doing my job has made me very paranoid. Nothing seems to be out of place, it's quiet but not too quiet and in the distance I see the city lights, looking like stars. I noticed LJ's motorcycle, it's a purple and black Yamaha VMAX, he has so many motorcycles which is very surprising since he looks like a square; so plain, good, not all what he actual is. LJ is a hacker, he can hack anything, he's a prodigy when it comes to obtaining information that he shouldn't have. Walking up these stairs are like exercising, there is two staircases going up on either side of the little pond to the front porch, plain, with a swing on the right, at night when I can't sleep; which is most nights, I sit there and smoke, it is relaxing. The door is big and like our gate reinforced metal, nothing can break through. We have state of the art security system; anyone who has not been invited will not be let in and this whole property is essential a big panic room, also the outer gate has electricity coursing through it~ so no climbing it or even touching it. The card key opens the front door too. When you first go inside the house, you see the double staircase, and the second floor landing where all the rooms and bathrooms are. The first floor has the kitchen/dining area to the left, along with the entrance to LJ's man cave. To my right is the large living room area but the guys have it as an arcade. I could never have an arcade in the house, outside yeah, but not inside, GUYS, so predictable, but somehow these guys are the only family I know it seems. Under the double staircases is an open space, with a eighty-five inch flat screen tv mounted on the wall with surround-sound and an home theater system. The space had a couch set, love sets too; and a nice size coffee table, by the big bay window/door. The window/door is bullet proof, resistant to most firearms, weapons, anything short of a rocket launcher won't get through. The guys put this window here because they knew I liked to look out to the woods and sky, also I can see the whole property. All five acres is so beautiful, and huge, looking out at the land I see the pool ten feet away from the back porch landing and double stairs. The left side of the property has a building as long as a football field but completely covered with metal, but this metal is from one of the other dimensions, many humans on earth call it "Magic Silver", because it looks like regular silver but it is impervious to magic and man made weapons, it's name from the dimension "Zura", where the now extinct chaos dragons once lived~ it's called Zix; It's suppose to have mystical properties. I love it because it shines in the light and it changes colors according to the weather, pretty cool if you ask me. The right side of the property is the basketball and volleyball court. Straight ahead, past the pool, at the back of the property, one acer of land has a gate to separate that land. There's a house in the middle of the gated off area, an regular two story mansion. even though it looks small from a few acres away, I knew it was actually a little bit smaller than the house I'm in now. The back of the house was facing me, because I could see the pool and pool house, with what it looks like a walk way leading to gazebo/picnic area. so much beautiful land and architecture, its truly breathe taking. I am so lucky I was able to buy this land at a discounted price. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, its most likely ace. "Aye look who we have here?" I don't need to even turn around, its the crazy yet genially assholeish, handsome man I've ever met. *I cough/laugh* "Hey ace, are you going to give me a hard time today? because i would hate to embarrass you again" I said laughing enjoying our banter "Aye, you never know, I could win this time," he said laughing. I turned around, His hands was scratching the back of his neck, which I know is a nervous habit. Noticing he doesn't have shirt on. his natural washboard abs are as usual just waiting for someone to lick them. It is a shame he is apart of the team because if not then he would be tied to my bed for years. Even tho ace is a player, he is also so sensitive about his looks. Not because he is vain, it's because will he has very pointy ears like the Elves or some people like to call them The Fae. however, they are neither; their this tribe from a different dimension that looks like humans but they are tall, have pointy ears, long colorful hair, colorful eyes, and either dark or fair skin that seems to be iridescent. His skin however his skin reminds me of dark chocolate. His eyes that strange color of silver, it seems so unreal. Every time I see him, I know why the girls is always after him. *I laugh* "Sure, if you say so," I said folding my arms under my decent sized boobs. "Oh, did you hear? we all are going to Chaos Bone and Cross Dragons Academy in Zura," He said. "Yeah, Derndeck told me I was going, he conveniently neglected to tell me you guys was coming too," I said, walking to the back wall, which had a tall desk with a large mirror; we use this area has a makeshift home bar. I poured a small cup of Jack Daniels; down it in one gulp, I poured another one and did it again at least seven times. "You know, if you get to drunk, we won't be ready for the mission," LJ said walking into the room. "You say that all the time, and we end up fine," I said not even looking at him. But, I took one more shot. LJ set a manila folder on the coffee table. I lifted my head and looked around; I saw LJ standing at the back wall pouring himself a drink... He's a hypocrite; A very good looking one. He's the only one out of our group that is human. African American aka black on earth, he's 5'8, like ace washboard abs, beautiful chocolate skin. His hair is curlier than mine; if he chooses to grow it out, it would be a nice afro; such a shame he's a nerd. Ace was sitting on the couch in front of the coffee table and the tv set playing the game system. I'm sitting in one of the loveseats near the living room entrance right across from the big bay window/door. Looking out into the night sky is very calming, even though the city is not faraway, I still see the stars; I don't know why, but staring at the stars has always been an calming to me. "Ace, where are the twins?" Lj asked walking to the other loveseat across from me. "I don't know, but they should be here soon." He said, while playing his game. "They are almost here," I said, while my eyes are closed. Ugh, I just can't wait to get this over with. As I said that the door opened and my peaceful silence was interrupted but the crazy storm twins. The final two pieces to my team; the only family I seem to have.
