Awakening
Jessica Wolfe was finishing her college degree the week before her first change, when she would be required to return to her Pack and remain there until she no longer felt the effects of the insanity the change could cause in Wolves. It was never known how long it would take for each Werewolf, and familial history could only be used as anything more than a guideline. She was in her final exam for her Masters Degree, and was anxious as her professor had made this exam one of the hardest she had ever seen. Even her unique experience on the dig sites hadn't fully prepared her for what he had done here, but she knew she had Races the exam when she finished it over an hour before any of the other students and was reviewing her answers before she turned it in. She finally stood up and walked to the front of the class, and handed the thick exam to Professor Goddard. "Thank you Professor, I have really enjoyed your program here." She whispered as he took it and set it on his desk. "Good, maybe after you take your break you will return for the Doctorate Program." he said as he grabbed a stack of 3 books she recognized from their last dig. "Maybe these will keep you interested while you go through your next steps in this world." She took the books from him, and was slightly confused when she could easily look at the script on the front of it and read it. The flash lasted barely a second before it reverted to the script she had no clue what it said, but could still read and understand it. "Professor, I cannot take these. Surely you need them for your own work." she said still barely above a whisper as the others were still taking their exams. Stewart Goddard smiled as he looked at her, and shook his head. "I assure you I made copies so that I could work on them as well, and I still expect you to share anything you learn from them." Jessica looked down at them again, and somehow knew that they would prove incredibly important to whatever was going to happen in the future. "Thank you Professor, I will most certainly keep you apprised of any progress I make." she said as she put them in her bag. "Excellent, now go get ready to go or you will miss your train." he said with a smile. "I seriously doubt my father would allow that. He was been waiting for this for nearly 6 years." She replied as she smelt the two Wolves standing next to the door. Stewart chuckled as he stood and walked around the desk and gave her a small hug. "As soon as you are ready your place will be waiting in the Doctorate program. It will be interesting to see how far we can get into those before that." he said referring to the books. Jessica smiled as an uneasy feeling washed over her. "I appreciate it Professor, but I have a feeling a lot of things are about to change. I will review these when I can, and return them with my report to you." she said as she saw his face mask itself for a moment before he smiled. "Let us hope that it isn't as bad as you fear." Stewart said as Jessica smiled knowing the Wolves outside the door could hear the conversation. "Let us hope Professor, let us hope. I need to go pack the last of my things so I can get to the train station quickly." she said hugging him tighter before letting him go and walking to the door. As soon as she walked through it, the two wolves began flanking her on either side a few steps back as they watched for threats. "Jason, Michael, relax. There are no enemies here that are going to leap out and eat you." Jessica said as she kept walking and hadn't so much as looked at them. "How did you know?" Jason asked as she stopped and turned to look at him. "You have always had an interesting musk Jason, and Michael has always scuffed the back of his heels rather hard. Now if you can stop with scaring everyone with your looks and attitude we can move on and do what we need too." she said as she started walking again. "Are you saying I stink?" Jason asked as both stepped up and walked beside her instead of behind slightly. Jessica laughed at that as she elbowed him in the side of the gut as she walked to her dorm. She had lied about packing, as most of her stuff had already been shipped before her exam that morning. The last thing for her to do was say goodbye to the girl who had been her roommate for nearly 6 years and had become her best friend. She hadn't been ready when she opened the door and Ashley nearly knocked her over as she was wrapped into a big hug. "You have to let me know the moment I can come visit." she said as she let Jessica go and stepped back as Jason and Michael stepped in. "Do you need protection from her?" Jason asked teasing as they had heard the commotion. "Are they???" Ashley trailed off as Jessica nodded. "Ashley Findabar, this is Jason and Michael Porter. Yes, they are both fully changed Werewolves." she said as both of them made their eyes glow as they bowed slightly to her and she gasped as Jessica elbowed Michael in the gut this time and both brothers laughed. "Pleasure Ms. Findabar." Jason said smoothly as Michael rubbed his gut. "When did you get so strong?" he asked a little breathless. "I will let you know the minute it is safe for you to come visit." Jessica said knowing she would miss Ashley. They had gone to the gym for training every day since they had both arrived for their Freshman year. "Excellent, I cannot wait for it." Ashley said as she looked at the two men. "If you fail to protect her, I will gladly remind you why Humans are not to be trifled with." "I assure you if we do not we will have paid for it dearly before you get the chance." Michael said liking the way she was fearless in front of them. "Not as dearly as what I will make you pay when I find you." she said sternly making Jessica laugh. "I will protect them, and they seem to have forgotten who I am." Jessica said making all 3 of them laugh as she grabbed her bags. "Call me when you get there safely, something seems off." Ashley said as she hugged her friend again. Jessica had grown used to her intuition being correct. "I will keep it in mind." Jessica whispered in her ear. "Remember what I told you as well." she finished before letting her friend go and grabbing her two bags that had been here for her to take. Two hours later Jessica settled into her cabin aboard the train car that had been reserved just for them. She opened her backpack and pulled out the first book she had recognized the writing of. She looked at the script and knew it was an encrypted combination of Acient Human and Wolf, and although it was essentially gibberish, she could read it as easily as any language she had ever known. She opened the book, and was surprised when it seemed like it was a history of the people before the time William went insane. It also detailed that it happened as his punishment from Artemis for betraying her son to Zeus after the last battle of the Titan War. She had finished the first chapter when she turned the page and saw the first picture of a type of Wolf that was able to stand on it rear legs alone. Her vision flashed briefly before she was now on an open plain, waiting for something as she stood their listening. At the far edge of her hearing, she could tell there were two different battles raging on, while her most trusted friend was running to her. 'My Lord, Cronos has finally showed himself at the Gateway.' the Wolf said in her mind. She felt herself running at speeds that no normal wolf could achieve as the scenery flashed by as she ran over 20 miles to where the battle was. She crested the hill, and the sight before her would have made mist others fill with dread at what they were witnessing. Three Titans stood before the gateway to Tartarus, one of them being Cronos who stood in the center of them. Their abilities cast Elemental magic at the Wolves and the Humans riding them protected them from the power of the Magic. The Olympians were casting their own spells, and she watched as the first Tital fell into the shimmering portal and was not seen again. She felt the power of her roar, as the scene before her stopped for a brief moment as she locked eyes with Cronos. She flew in front of him quickly her sword flashing to meet his as they began to battle. She had no idea how long the battle lasted, but she knew that it was over a day before Zeus, Poseidon and Hades arrived with the rest of the Titans who were thrown into the portal before they attacked the final three who were still fighting as fiercely as they had been tje entire time. Her strength seemed limitless as she battled with Cronos, her sword occasionally piercing his defenses and hacking small parts and pieces from him to be sucked into the portal. Atlas was being battered back towards the portal, and she saw an opening that would allow her to cast Iaeptus into the pit of Tartarus. She kicked Cronos so hard it knocked his crown off and sent him flying, as she attacked the other Titan and slammed into him hard. The angle was perfect, sending Iaeptus into the Maw. Atlas managed to strike her and wounded her shoulder before the 3 Olympian Kings began overwhelming him again, as her healing began repairing the damage her shoulder had suffered far quicker than she knew was possible. By the time Cronos recovered the wound had mostly healed, and she once again engaged him in a battle so fierce that their deflected spells were causing actual mountains to form around the wide valley they were battling in. She noticed the moon rising again, and felt her wound finish healing as soon as the light of the moon touched her. It filled her with incredible strength as she cast a fireball that struck Cronos directly in the chest and sent him flying back towards the gateway that lead to the Maw of Tartarus. Cronos slumped against the pile for a moment as she drew two gleaming golden swords from her waist, and ran at the Titan. Both of the swords flashed, and with easy strokes she began chopping the man to bits, them flying off and being sucked into the portal one by one as Cronos tried to stop what was inevitable. Atlas however was not about to let it happen, and just as he appeared so did Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The spear he had thrown pierced straight through her shoulder, and pinned her side against Cronos' chest. The spear went straight through his heart, and the roar both of them let out was immense as a lightning bolt from Zeus struck it. She pulled herself off of it, and used the spear to force Cronos to the very edge of the Gateway as he grabbed either side and she jumped to the side as another bolt struck the spear. The bolt was so powerful that it was Black, and Cronos' body began burning as he fell back into the portal as it finished ripping his mangled body in before Hades and Poseidon threw Atlas in behind him. The three brothers cast the final spell, just as the Humans and Wolves joined their power with them to create the Olympian Bronze Seal that would prevent anyone or anything from coming back through. "Nooo, you bastard!" she yelled as she cast a spell that created a portal in the seal that would allow his followers to escape. Just as the first hand came out of the portal a powerful bolt of lightning struck her, leaving her completely numb as she fell to the ground. The wound in her shoulder stung as another bolt slammed into her, and she could hear the roar of Wolves fighting in the distance.
