Happy reading! *** Swords smashing against each other, wails and agony filled the air of the battle field, blood dripping down from the tip of the swords, more swords came into view and it penetrates into the stomach of the angry and ferocious beasts, strange sharp claws slashed through human flesh and blood shed spilled out from the injuries, still yet, leaving fingerprints on their faces......... Panting and running. "Nooooo!!!" The boy screams. "You have to go, hurry" A female voice said. "No I won't go, I can't leave without you" the young boy replied the woman amidst tears. "Go, you have to" said the woman weakly. "Rooaar" Voice of a ferocious beast. "Go! go!! please" Said the woman again. "Nooooo!!!" The young boy screams. Scream continues and soon reality soon appears to be a dream, then the boy wakes up. Sweating and panting profusely. "Huh huh huh" Darrell said relieved. He finally looks up, the light from outside his window was too bright so he used the back of his hand to cover his eyes. He hurries down from the bed and heads downstairs. "Good morning' Uncle Jack" Darrell greeted as he came down stairs and saw Jack making a coffee "Oh Darrell how was your night" Jack asked with no facial expression. "It wasn't too good" Darrel replied looking exhausted. "What happened? Where you bitten by a spider" Jack asked as if spiders had teeth. "That would have been better" Darrell replied as he bits his second finger. "Then what bit you, if it wasn't a spider, then it would be a very dangerous insect" Jack said without looking up, he had his face fixed on what he was doing. "No it wasn't an insect but a nightmare" Darrell said and looked else where. "Oh! I see, what happened?" Jack asked as he gives Darrell a cup of coffee. "I really don't want to talk about it" Darrell said as he sips from the cup of hot coffee. "Am sure it will be alright" Jack said as he pats Darrell on the shoulder. "Thanks Uncle Jack" Darrell said smiling. "Now let's start something to keep our mind off these" Jack said and grabbed a sit and sits close to the chimney. "Especially on this grasses" Darrell replied looking through the window and pointing at the outgrown grasses outside the building. "If you say so, sir" Jack said and made the salute sign They both burst into laughter. *** "Hey Alyssa, wake up" A white rabbit with big fluffy ears he is putting on a bow tie and now on top the bed in which Alyssa is sleeping on and seriously trying to wake Alyssa up. "Wake up! wake up!!" The rabiit said again and keeps on shaking Alyssa. "Oh comm'on stop the racket" Shouted a brown hamster who was sleeping until he heard the noise. "Oh comm'on Berk let her sleep you know she is tired" Said an old roaster after crowing his morning cry, on top of the beck close to the window. "You get it now stop the racket" said the hamster to the rabbit with annoyance, the hamster has always been the grumpy type. "Alyssa! Alyssa!! Alyssaa!!!" Shouts Norma Elspeth from outside Alyssa's door. she had a really croaked thin voice. "Oh my! She is coming" Said Berk the rabbit with fright in his eyes. "Oh my goodness" The rooster said and flies away. "I have to wake her up" The rabbit said and continues shaking Alyssa until she gives up a yawn. "What is it" Cries Alyssa with a weak soft voice. "Alyssa! Alyssa!! Alyssaa!!!" The calling from outside continues. Alyssa hurriedly came down from the bed, tried to arrange the room and raced outside. Her typical routine. "Yes ma'am! yes ma'am!!" Answered Alyssa to the calling as she raced out of her room. "Are you still sleeping till now" Norma Elspeth asked Alyssa angrily. "Am sorry ma'am" Alyssa replied softly with her head bowed slightly down. "You should be" Norma Elspeth said giving Alyssa her signature smirk. "I really don't know what happened I overslept" Alyssa replied sadly. "You know the consequences, you are supposed to be working by now and not sleeping" Norma Elspeth raged. "I will do just that ma'am" Alyssa replied. "I might not spare you next time this happens again" Norma Elspeth said with a nasty sneer. A knock on the door. "Go check on the door will you" Norma Elspeth said and leaves the scene. "Yes ma'am" Alyssa said and respectfully bowed before heading to the door. The knock continues. Alyssa opens the door, it's a man holding bread and many more inside a bag. "Here is your bread Alyssa" Thompson said with a smiling face. "Thank you Mr Thompson, and good morning" Alyssa greeted delightedly. "Good morning to you too, I was told by my workers that you came to look for me I hope all is alright" Thompson replied. "Yes all is alright, I was sent by my mistress to tell something" Alyssa said. "Well then, let it out, tell me" Thompson said briskly. "She asked for the book of shadows do you have it?" Alyssa replied. "Yes I do but I really still need to look for it, when I see it, I will bring it " Thompson replied. "Thank you" Alyssa said and took the bread from Thompson's hand. "Take care Alyssa" Thompson said and left. Alyssa quietly closed the door, the bread still on her hand then she moves quickly to the kitchen. "Who was that" Asked the rabbit hopping around the beautifully arranged living room. "It was the baker" Answered Alyssa as she heads to the kitchen. "Ooh that means you brought bread" Cried a blue bird inside a cage hung by a hook attached to the ceiling of the kitchen. "Bread, yea, I love bread!" The birds all chorused as they flew near the bread. "You all should be ashamed; making all that noise!" Alyssa said with a disappointing look on her face. The faces of the birds looked quite sad. "Ha ha ha!!" Laughed the hamster, he seemed happy cause he hated the birds. Alyssa looked at the faces of the birds and then to the hamster then a little smile came down her face. "But you all still deserve a bread" Alyssa said to the birds with a smile on her face. "Yahhh!!" The birds shrieked with excitement. "Oh mehn" The hamster said outloud, the hamster wasn't too happy. "Here u go, here u go" Alyssa said as she gives a bird a piece of bread. "Thank you" Said one bird "Thank you" Said another. "You too berry" Said Alyssa to the hamster who was still mummuring to himself. "Well uhm.., I don't know, thank you Alyssa, The hamster said looking quite embarrassed. And Alyssa gives the hamster a nut. "Bread for everybody, come on" Alyssa said happily. They all gathered there and ate to there satisfaction.
