100 Days With A Beast

CHAPTER-1 The sun was shining at its peak in the mid of April. The weather was hot yet so pleasant. ‘’Kiya, wake up! Wake up Kiya’’ Avery shouted from the top of her lungs dressed in a comfortable homey attire. The kitchen was filled with the aroma of delicious food. She put down the spatula which she was stirring the soup with and after wiping her hands clean with a tissue, she made her way upstairs. She turned the door knob and entered inside. The room was painted blackish blue on one wall and light violet on the opposite wall, it was a beautiful contrast. There was two beds at each side of the wall. "Richy, you too wake up. I know you slept late yesterday but you should wake up soon." Avery continued to wake up her siblings until a girlish voice murmured as if irritated. " please Avery, I'm tired let me sleep some more" kiya pleaded with utmost desire hoping maybe her sister would show some mercy but Avery being Avery. She never showed her soft side when it came to studies and boys. After all raising two kids by herself made her that way. If not for her being that way, How could she have managed to earn and raise two kiddos at the same time after what happened with her parents. She would have been swayed by now if not for her resolute nature. " No, you both need to get ready before you get late." with a groan from Kiya both got up and showered within half an hour and made their way to the kitchen downstairs welcomed by the delicious food that was placed on the dining table. "Good Morning, Avy" Richie whispered. "morning babe" wished kiya a little excited, being the cool girl she is. " Good morning, sweethearts " Avery replied and gestured them to take a seat. " You are the best cook Avy" Richard praised his sister as he chewed onto the food. Avery smiled hearing his brother. This fellow has always been supportive of Avery though his sister can be childish at times. After filling their stomach,they prepared to go to their respective universities. "After finishing your school, come straight home. Don't linger around Ok?" Avery reminded. They were at their most rebellious age. It was not easy for her to keep them in right track. "You especially don't hang out with your friends just come home straight" Avery said while pointing her finger at Kiya. " But.. " kiya frowned and tried to argue before Avery cut her off. "No buts kiya" Avery ended the conversation. Both nodded their heads and after biding goodbye to Avery. Kiya made her way to her university while Richard made his way to his. After wrapping up and cleaning the dishes. Avery also showered and got ready for going to her work. She worked at a finance company. It was small but the pay was high enough to feed three of them and bear other expenses. She had a little office of her own. She took her seat and began to work until someone knocked on her door. " May I come in, Ms. Grey? " Daniel asked with a grin on his face leaning against the door frame. His arms were crossed across his chest. He had a tall posture and a wide chest with a muscular body. Beneath the thin fibre of his shirt you could see the eight abs he had making him look like a greek god. Two topmost buttons were undone of the white shirt he wore matching with a black trouser. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbow. His forearms were as hard and strong as iron rods. He had dark brown hairs a little curly at ends. A long face with tan skin as if someone Italian. He had grey oracles as eyes with a straight nose. A very sharp jaw with high cheek bones with a little stuble on his face adding petrol to the fire he had thin pink lips. He was a perfect catch and an eye candy for girls. " Don't tease me, Daniel" Avery said with a polite smile on her face. Daniel Smith was the one and only son of the chairman of the company. Galaxy corporation was a multi billion company owned by his father. Chairman wanted his son to take charge of the company as soon as he completed his studies but Daniel had other plans. He didn't want to just get everything without struggle so he decided to open his own small company and manage it properly until he was competent enough to take charge of both the corporation. Daniel entered inside and took the seat across Avery. " Would you go out for dinner with me?" Daniel asked hopefully. "Daniel, I have told you I need to cook for Richie and Kiya" Avery answered a bit embarrassed. She always found a reason to refuse his invitation. Although it was true that she needed to cook dinner. "You can order a takeout for them, Please agree okay? Keep me some face,it is already your sixth time refusing me " Daniel requested earnestly. Avery thought about it and couldn't refuse him anymore. When Avery first interviewed for the job, it was Daniel who helped her get the job inspite of her being educationally unqualified. She only had a Bachelor's degree while the job needed the candidate to hold a Master's degree. Avery was quick to adapt so it was not difficult for her to get used to her job. In fact she was exceptionally good at it. So no one doubted her abilities and everyone knew that Director Daniel liked her, therefore their attitude has always been good towards her. "okay, let me wrap up" she thought for a moment and agreed. They went downstairs at the basement parking lot and she sat in the passenger seat in his car. He drove a red Aston Martin. Soon, they reached an Italian restaurant. It was a top notch restaurant. The manager especially came outside to welcome him. It turned out Daniel owned the restaurant. They took their seats. It was the most beautiful part of the restaurant. You could see the whole New York from here. In a distance, the statue of liberty was standing making the beauty enhance by a level. "It's beautiful, Daniel" Avery praised sincerely. A smile took place on his lips "Really?" he asked smiling. He was really glad that she agreed to the dinner. "Yes" Avery reassured. "What would you like to order?" Daniel asked Avery. Her eyes glanced over the menu placed in front of her before a frown covered her smiling face as she continued to read it without speaking. Daniel was always good at reading people, he understood her worry in a glance. "Let me order for both of us" Daniel continued and ordered three dishes. "Bruschetta , Eggplant parmigiana,Mushroom risotto...one portion of each dish" he ordered. Avery breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Avery nervous he understood her worry, it was not that she didn't want to order but the menu was in Italian language. Avery was not familiar with the language so he helped her order. Avery was grateful to him, she was a smart girl she knew why he proposed to ordered for both of them. He basically saved her from being embarrassed in front of the waiter who was ready to take their order. They were chit chatting while waiting for their order when two people suddenly shouted " congratulations " Avery was startled so was Daniel. "what's going on?" Daniel asked. "Sir and Madam you are the 1000th couple who came to this restaurant. You have won a free gateway to France. Spend a fortnight in most luxurious resort in Paris. All the expense will be beared by us" the man informed. A frown covered Daniel's face " I don't remember about agreeing to such a thing" Daniel asked. "Sir, this was arranged by chairman" the man informed and Daniel hesitantly nodded. "But we are... " Avery wanted to say that they are not a couple before Daniel almost snatched the ticket from the man's hand. "You can go" Daniel asked him to leave before she could speak further. They did as he said quickly. " It's useless, we are not a couple" Avery murmured a bit shyly. " I kn.." Daniel wanted to explain before the waiter arrived with their food. The topic was forgotten as they continued to eat the delicious food. Avery was really surprised, it was really delicious. On top of that, all of the dishes were of Avery's taste. As they finished their dinner. The waiter came with dessert, seeing the dessert a guilty expression covered her face. It was all her favorite flavor and even the food earlier. "Can't you consider me? " Daniel asked lowly. His eyes piercing hers. It was as if he read through her guilty conscience. "Daniel, I have.... " Avery whispered before Daniel cut her off. "It's a rejection isn't it? Don't continue " he said with a saddened smile not wanting to pressurize her. Avery was well aware that he liked her from five years. He has even confessed to her various times but Avery's answer was always the same. He knew her too well, he was even well acquainted with her food preferences and her likes and dislikes even though she didn't like him which made her more guilty. After dessert they made their way to his car, "oh I remember " he murmured and pulled a envelope from his coat pocket. Avery recognized it really well. It was the gift they won earlier " what.. " before Avery could continue he informed her. " It has tickets in it and some more necessary things. You haven't taken a break from long why don't you go on a vacation?" he suggested. " with your siblings" he added after a while. Seeing the hesitation on her face he added " it's just fifteen days, you didn't go on a vacation from a long time and even your siblings are home all day long. It's a good opportunity". She thought for a while and nodded after thanking him. He dropped her off at her residence before driving off. she watched the car disappear before coming inside. "Richie, kiya I'm home" she informed as she entered inside. " you are so bad" kiya yelled as she threw a pillow from the couch at Avery midway catched by Richie. He threw it back to kiya. " Calm down kiya " Richie scolded his sister. She frowned deeper. " let me help you" Richie helped Avery with her stuff. Avery thanked him and took out the takeout. " I'm sorry kiya. See I brought you both food" she whispered. Kiya's face relaxed a bit at the mentioning of food. She was angry because she was hungry and it was late when Avery returned. " even some cake " she added with a smile. At the mentioned of cake Kiya smiled and ran to Avery. " thank you Avery and sorry " she apologized. Even though she was childish at times she knew the struggle Avery had to go through to feed them. She everytime apologized as soon as she made a mistake. Avery grinned and they began to eat. " What is it Avy ?" Richie asked from a distance holding onto an envelope. She came back from the bathroom and Informed them about the events at the restaurant. "So, you mean we are going on a vacation? " kiya asked with expectation and a big smile on her face. Avery smiled and nodded. There was a trace of sadness in her eyes. She realized that she was so busy working that she had neglected her siblings. They were still kids after all, at least for her. They needed their enjoyment too. But they never demanded anything that can possibly pressurize her. " We will go next week " Avery announced and both of them shouted in excitement. Soon it was the day of their departure. Daniel was early at their apartment. He drove his car here in the early morning so that he can drop her off at the airport later. He saw her pacing back and forth giving instructions and getting ready. A smile spread across his face how much he wanted her to be his only he knew. "we are good to go" Avery announced as she clapped her hand together in excitement. She can't deny she was as excited for the trip as much as her siblings. Daniel helped her carry her luggage so did Richard. Both placed the luggage in the trunk before Daniel sat in driver's seat. soon, the car came to a halt in front of the airport. Both men carried the luggage to the waiting lobby. "You should go, Daniel. Thank you for accompanying us here" Avery thanked him with a smile. Daniel didn't want her to go even for a day let alone a fortnight but he was well aware that she needed to relax too after all she was still young and barely took a vacation. Not a minute later, the passengers were requested to board the plane. "Richard you need to take care of your sisters while you're away " Daniel reminded Richard with a serious expression. Richard has always liked Daniel. He knew that Daniel liked his sister and he was supportive of them. He liked Daniel a lot he knew that Daniel was perfect for his sister but Avery was the only one who refused. " I will take care of them, Daniel " Richard reassured him with a smile before bidding him goodbye. They board the plane. She was surprised to know it was a plane with only first class, their was no economy. They were led to their chamber with four seats in there. The three took their seats while the plane boarded and took off. Avery was tired so were her siblings. It was a seven hour long flight. They all soon fell asleep. Avery was woken up by a abrupt turbulence. When Avery was just thinking what's happening kiya cried " Ah... what happened?" kiya asked as she rubbed her forehead she hit her forehead because of turbulence. Richard was soon awake too from her cry. "Hey what's happening? " Richard asked a bit worried. He went out to open the door of the chamber just to find it locked. "I.. Don't know " whispered Avery obviously nervous. "someone here, we are locked" Richard shouted but to no avail. He shouted a few more times but no one answered. Suddenly, the turbulence seemed to worsen. "Richard take a seat and put on the belt " Avery told her brother seriously. They didn't say much as it was obvious. cold sweat formed on their foreheads. She was dreaded to the core but She pretended to be strong but it was obviously the airplane crash. She closed her eyes to pray before the plane seemed to crash. They hit their head hard getting injured before losing consciousness only to be surrounded by the darkness.
