CHAPTER 3: CRAIG

"Do I know you from somewhere?"

I look up at him as he looks deeply at me "I do know you, but whe-?" He answers his own question then looks up in thought rubbing his chin "Hmmmm- wait, you're the girl from the dessert shop!" "Bakery*" I correct him and he looks down at me to analyse my face yet again

'Why does he even remember me?'

"Am I right then?" "Yeah?" "What was your name again?" "Natalia" "Ohhh yeah, haha I remember now" He smiles and puts his hand out towards me "My name is Roman, River and Xavier's brother" He shrugs like it was an award or something but I just fake a smile taking his hand to be polite 

"Oh okay" I nod and he stands there taken aback "Okay? That's it? Hm people normally go crazy for that line..." He says to himself then looks at me again as if I were an alien or something "Where are you from?" "Mar" He scoffs at my reply "Where do you live I mean" "Around here" I say as the lift opens and I walk out with him following close behind  

"Wait but what you doing here though?" He stops me with his hand when we leave the building "Me?" I turn to the beautiful man trying not to get flustered when he touched me again "Erm, I was here for a job interview with you brother River" "Ohhhh" I nod then he drops my hand

I notice people around us suddenly staring at the both of us when I become of those around us "So did you get it?" My attention clicks back to him "I think so, well kind of" "That's cool, so where are you going now?" He asks me really interested about my whereabout which I found a little weird  "Home, to wait for my little sister to come back" I didn't know why I was letting him know so much but he's was being nice so it was flowing really easily

"Do you want me to drive you home?" "No it's fine" I shake my hands at him and he smiles placing his hand on my shoulder "Okay then, you're really weird, anyways see you later" I giggle at his randomness and he smiles too staring at my face in silence 

"You're cute" He then says "Thank you???, I guess-" I tried to push myself off him but he pulls me back "Does that mean no more working at the cafe?" "Mhm" I squeak at our closeness "If I like this job, then..." "Damn, you made a mean apple pie, I can't lie I loved it" "I can make it for you again any time just ask"

 "Well then it's a date" He winks at me and I choke on my saliva coughing out with a nod "I am gonna go now" I try to push back again but he grabs hold of my wrist and turns me around AGAIN 

"See you soon" He says with the cutest smile which made me smile genuinely and "Thanks for being nice and actually caring" I wave and so does he "See you, Nat" "Bye" I skip to the bus stop a little happier from that one interaction

Home 

"You took your sweet time" I close the door as I get home and find Daisy sitting on the coach "It was a long interview" I shrug dropping my bag at my feet "How did it go?" She stand on the couch and I carry her back down "No standing on the chair Daisy, and it went fine" I play with her hair as I sit us both down "And did you get it?" "Yup" She screams and hugs me tightly "I can tell everyone my sister works for a prestige company, what's it called again?" "CRAIGS ENTERPRISE?, I don't know something like that" 

"CRIAGS ENTERTAINMENT?!" She says over me before I could finish and I push her back "Rude" "There is no way you work there, oh my gosh, you are working with millionaires, billionaires! I am going to be so rich! The singers they produce for are crazy talented" She screams and runs around the living room 

"Daisy you're gonna faint" I chase after her stopping her "Is it really a big deal?" I look at her so confused and she bops her head up and down quickly "Billionaires?" "You really don't know them?! How can you not know? How did you even get the job?! I mean you deserve it! But howww?!?!?" I give her the look to continue talking as I didn't understand what she meant   

"Mr Kim, Roman, River, Xavier and Claudia? Come one Nat, Seth, Shaun?" She names names but it wasn't ringing any bells "Oh wait wait, I know River I work for him now and Roman did say to say hi to you from him" "WHAT?! NO WHAT NOOOO WAY, I AM GONNA FAINT FOR REAL CATCH ME" She screams and runs to her room and I just watch her, never so confused in my life "Well I guess it's a big deal then" I suck in air now interested too

"What the heck is happening today?" I ask myself laughing but before I could get up to relax my phone began to ring, so I pick myself back up answering it without even looking at the caller ID

"Hey" I breathe out tiredly "You answer a strangers call, with a hey?" My eyes widen immediately sitting up straight as my heart begins to race 

"Mr Kim, erm this is earlier than I expected?!" I hear him sniff over the line "Yeah, I just wanted to know whether you was free tomorrow to come in and sign some paper work?" My head has absolutely lost, everything I was thinking about had disappeared so I try my best to sound normal 

 "Oh yeah, that's fine, t-thank you sir" "And Natalia?" "Yeah?" "It was nice seeing you today" He says and I get humid all over my body even though it was freezing cold "What time do you want me there?" I accidentally ignore what he says from shock "8 am, that is fine, right?" "Yeah thanks again for this opportunity and it was nice seeing you too sir" I save myself tapping my knee to help me stay sane "Okay see you tomorrow, Natalia" He ends the line but I don't move an inch 

'I need to look better tomorrow! I know I don't like him but I need to at least look presentable,' I breathe out not realising I was even holding in my breath 'I guess I might as well look nice for once, so why don't I just try to look nice' I nod agreeing with my thoughts and walk to the kitchen to prepare dinner for me and Daisy
