Chapter 1: The Beginning

As I entered the school, I am already getting looks of disgust. I feel they are giving me looks because of my burgundy eyes and crimson hair. I know that I have to keep it together. My necklace to calm me down. Amaryllis walks over and looks at me. You know dying your hair outrageous colors is against school rules. Amaryllis replied. I hate to tell you this is my natural eye and hair features. I replied. Now class, treat your new classmate with kindness. Mrs. Gale replied. Are you Delilah Columbine? Mrs Gale asked. Yes my name is Delilah Columbine. I replied. Columbine is an uncommon last name. Mrs. Gale replied. I went up to the front of the school. My name is Delilah Columbine. My eye and hair color are all hereditary. I look like my mom but have my father's eye and hair color. I replied. A girl walked up to me. Hi my name is Rea Maroglou, it's nice to meet you. Rea replied. Nice to meet you too, Rea. I replied. Well, since your new to Lumiere. Rea replied. Let's go sightseeing after school today. I would love to, but my mom told me to come straight home after school. I replied. It's ok, Delilah. Rea replied.  A girl walks over. What are you doing, Rea? Otome asked. What are you talking about, Otome? Rea asked. I am so sorry for my friend, Rea. Otome replied. No worries, she is trying to be friendly compared to the rest of the class. I replied. Let me introduce myself, my name is  Date Otome. Otome replied. Wait your actually Japanese? I asked. Well I am Japanese-American. Otome replied. Sit down Date. Mrs. Gale replied. Yes ma'am. Otome replied. Mrs. Gale shushed the class to listen to the lesson. After classes were over, my mom called me. Delilah, I need you to come straight home with no questions asked. Hayden replied.
