-Nila Quill I ran as fast as I could. My heart pounded as I felt the rush of adrenaline kick in. So now, at least I could make my decisions quickly. What kind of place was this? It looked like a forest, but It was dark, no light except for the torches that were light now and then. I stopped for a second to catch my breath. I looked around, but there were only trees. Nothing that would really help me if he tried to attack me. Snap. My heart spiked as my body flinched at the sound of a twig snapping. I bolted forward. My heart pounded so hard it made my chest hurt. I heard another snap, but this time it came from in front of me. Suddenly a giant branch fell in front of me, blocking my path, knocking me to the ground. I screamed; it almost crushed me. I scrambled to get up but was stopped by a silver scaled leg with black needle-like talons. I started trembling as I slowly looked up at the creature who was hunting me. His legs had changed, but his torso was still human, and so was his face. His jet black hair was wavy, the kind of hair you could run your fingers through and call it good, but it didn't get in the way of his eyes. His jade green eyes were now reptile-like. Before, they looked dull and dead inside. Now they were lite ablaze and alive. He cracked his neck while boring down at me, "Going somewhere?" His eyes gleamed. I started to back away slowly. He kneeled in front of me then tilted my head up to him. "What a pretty little thing you are..." His eye's bored into me. He then licked his lips; that's when I saw his fangs. I gasped, covering my mouth. What the hell kind of creature was this? I could feel my chest pumping in and out. He smiled devilishly, exposing his fangs even more. "Your afraid." He said and leaned into me, whispering in my ear. "Pity you won't last a second..." his smoky voice sent chills down my back. I felt the corner of my mouth slip into a sly smile. "Awe. How cute, you think your the only monster here..." I whispered back in a lusciously deceptive tone His head shot back with his eyes narrowed on me. "Let's play a game," I said, twisting one of my loose curls around one of my fingers. "It's called, guess the monster in front of you." He thought he was the one hunting me. But, no, honey...I've been hunting you. He scoffed, "I don't play childish games." He said as he stood up. "Oh...your gonna like this one."I purred. He seemed to be put off by my reaction to him. His thick black eyebrows furrowed as he tilted his head a bit. I sprang up and wrapped my legs around his waist, then pulled him into my lips for a deep heated kiss. Whatever creature he was, he was absolutely exploding with chi. It made me shiver with pleasure. His claws dug into my back as he moaned into my mouth. He embraced my kiss. I could feel his heartbeat and breath pick up. His hands started to ravage my body. I broke away from him and left him breathless as I jumped back to the ground. I might be petite, but I was agile. His eye's started to flutter as his balance wavered. It kicked in faster than I expected. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fell to the ground. "Damn...Why couldn't you kiss me like that." I heard Knox's husky Jealous voice vibrate through my earbud. "Cause your a little pansy," I replied. Knox's laughed, "Oh, but you can kiss a stranger like that?" "Shut up and get the camera's off us," I said as I shook my head. " Hurry up; I don't want bitchy witchy to find you in there." "Awe. You worried about little ole me?" I teased. "Get the f**k out of there. I mean it." He said as the earbud cut out. I looked down at the guy's body, "He expects me to drag you. Yeah, that's not happening." I said as I clicked the earbud again. "Violet Hunny bunny. You there?" I said in a sugar-sweet tone. I hear her exhaled sigh before answering me. "What?" "Can you do me a HUGE favor?" I batted my eyes. "No." She snipped. "Hey! Do you want this guy with us or not? Cause I'm not big enough to carry his ass." I said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Knox is coming. Stay put." She clicked off. "Well, he better hurry up," I said under my breath. I kneeled, looking at the guy again. He had changed back to his human form. His face looked drained; that kind of transformation couldn't have been easy for him. "Poor baby." I cooed, caressing his soft hair, then found myself sliding my finger over his back muscles. His skin felt soft, like one of those throw blankets with the fluff inside. He had sharp features on his face. His high cheekbones made a V line to the end of his chin. He was pretty unique looking, and I definitely couldn't miss him in a crowd. "Are you done googly eyeing this guy?" Knox's annoyed voice caught me by surprise as I ripped my hand away. I turned around to Knox, holding a thick rope over his shoulder. His smoldering eyes glaring at me. I put my hands behind my back. "Are you getting jealous, Foxy?" I teased as I c****d my head and smiled slyly. I loved getting under his skin. I saw the muscle under his eye twitch. He scratched his four O'clock shadow and shook his head. "Naw, I'm not jealous. Just stop touching him...okay?" His body was tense as he walked towards me. I lifted my hands and got out of the way as he kneeled and tied the guy up. "I don't know why you think I'm jealous of other men." He said while tying the guy's hands and legs together. "You threw a guy off a roof for touching my ass, Knox." I boldly stated. "Okay, that was because he was mouthing off." He corrected. "He was calling me his little pet." I giggled. "Same thing." He said. "Now come on. Let's get out of this hell hole." He pulled the guy over his shoulder as we hurried towards the escape route. Awkward silence and Knox momentarily clearing his throat filled the time spent getting there. "So you wanna talk about-" "Nope." I cut him off. Now was not the time to be talking about relationship stuff. "Let's just get back home." I started to walk faster in front of him. I suddenly felt the ground shake. Clover had opened the portal. "Come on! Hurry, it's over here!" We both rushed to the sinking hole in the ground. "Lady's first," Knox said with a cheeky smile. "Pansy's last." I singsonged as I fell effortlessly, backward into the portal.
