Running from my sin

1018 Words
There was no headstart this time and so we had no chance to run. I was fast enough to dodge his powerful grip but Nikita wasn't. He grabbed a hold of her neck and she let out a deafening shriek. "s**t, how the f**k did you get here so fast?" I rhetorically questioned him as I made my way out of there. I watched from the corner of my eyes as he squeezed her neck tight and tried to make her 'vomit' his  cash. The son of a b***h. "Hold on Nikita." I mumbled under my breathe. I was lost on what to do. There was no assurance that if I made my way back to my grandmother's shop, I would be able to get my bike and rush to the scene in time before he did something as terrible as kidnap Nikita. That would be scary as basically no one except Flash and I would care and at the moment, I could not afford to lose Nikita. She was my best friend and the only person I truly loved. I shut my eyes tight and placed both hands on my head. "Think Gigi, think." I pleaded with myself. Startled by a loud sound, I flinched and reopened my eyes. There was a huge black car parked in the opposite direction. I had no idea what car brands were reigning or what their names were but this one had to be about a zillion dollars. It was black, f*****g neat and indescribable. It seemed to have broken down and a panicked young man kept pacing back and forth getting uncomfortable in his suit while attempting to make a phone call, or phone calls, seeing as he was repeatedly putting his phone down. Another bearded man was seated in the back seat and he looked calm, not bothered by the situation at hand at all. Deciding this was my chance, I ran towards them and made my way to the rolled down window where the comfortable man sat. The pacing man altered my steps instantly. "What do you want?" His voiced was laced with disgust and I wondered why he looked at me so irritatingly. I wasn't one to be ridiculed so easily and so with a poison tone, I gave him an even harsher glare. "Let go of me." "Who are you and what do you want?" His voice commanded authority and I could only wonder what his deal was. "I want to talk to him, not you, let go of me now!" I raised my voice, struggling to free myself. "Or what?" He smirked at me. "Or this..." I said and hit him hard in the groin. That did the trick and he let go of my wrist. Even in his pain, he managed to pull me back. I gasped and got ready to charge at his p***s one more time when the gentleman interfered. "Pilot, let her be." He ordered the restless soul. "Thank you." I sighed in relief as the man who I now identified as Pilot let go of me. I used my hands to get rid of imaginary dust on my outfit. I stood by the window side and my eyes landed on my temporal saviour, he had on a pair of dark sunglasses. "I'm so sorry for the disturbance but my friend, she's being harassed right now by a lunatic and I'm not powerful enough to stop him. Please, it is urgent." I finished my sentence by opening the passenger door without asking. I pulled at his arm and not even bright enough to understand it was privacy invasion, I yanked at it and expected him to just stand up in obedience. "What do you think you're doing!" Pilot gasped, his voice held so much fear that I wondered for a moment if I was doing the right thing, it for sure didn't seem so. Amusingly, he stood to his feet, ignoring Pilot's yells of concern, and followed behind me. I muttered a silent prayer to God in high hope that Pablo had not taken Nikita somewhere I would never be able to find her. "There they are!" I jumped in excitement, spotting them both in a tight corner, he was pulling her wrist forcefully but she refused to budge, screaming and crying for help. He hit her hard across the face to get her to budge and when she shrieked in pain, he leaned forward and sucked harshly on her lips. I could no longer bear the sight of it. I picked up a large stick lying on the floor and charged towards him. Without warning, I hit it against his back, forcefully getting him to let go of Nikita. "Jesus! You son of a bitch." He frowned and grabbed my wrist tight. "No, let me go!" I struggled to pull free. I leaned down and bit on his wrist as hard as I could. He screamed so loud and let go of me. Charging towards the man whose name I still hadn't required to know, Pablo ran after me. I stopped dead in front of the tall man and Pablo's senses seemed to just return. "What are you doing?" The man spoke for the first time in this scene. His voice was not loud but it commanded so much authority, I was tempted to stand at ease. "I... They... These girls, they owe me mo...money." Pablo found it hard to utter a complete sentence. "Well, Pablo." I began. By now, Nikita had come to stand by me. She looked frightened, I was sorry for her. "I'll have you know this is Nikita's father and he would like to talk to you." I informed him proudly. -"My father?" -"Her father?" Nikita and Pablo uttered simultaneously. "Yes, this is Nikita's father and he is very much aware of the money we owe you and so he is here to pay you back." The lie rolled off my lips so easily. I didn't meet the gaze of the man I'd brought here and I surely did not want to. I intertwined my hands in Nikita's and once Pablo opened his mouth to talk, I added quickly, "run!" Pulling Nikita forcefully, I made my run for it leaving both men to understand they'd been duped.
