“That may be...but you are mine now…” He spoke before pulling her hand to view, forcing the wedding ring that had been on her finger for less than twenty four hours, and threw it onto the ground. Its light metallic sound could be heard connecting with the ground as a tear fell down her cheek. In any fantasy she held in her mind that this man who saved her would be her saving grace, she learned he was more of a devil than Maximus-but she had yet to learn that this was only the beginning.

Chapter One- A Nightmare Come True
“Not all girls want to be visions in white on their wedding day. Hell, some of us don’t even want to get married to begin with.” The lace fabric clung to her voluptuous frame as she stood before the mirror, nauseated for what was to come. Her reflection revealed a beautiful young woman with long sable hair sat in loose waves past her shoulders while two small sections came from her temples and tied in the back with baby’s breath sporadically placed throughout, but her fingers began to tremble as she struggled to create the perfect smokey eye that would finish her matrimonial look. Although she appeared angelic by passing those who were to bring her to the altar, inside, she was holding herself together in remembrance of her father’s words before the preparations of the day had commenced. She knew she had a duty to wed Maximus Horne, a man whose reputation was more vile than that of Vlad Tepes and Elizabeth Bathory combined-but it did not mean she had to do so happily.  The resonance of nearby chimes began to play to show the start of the ceremony. Rather anxious, but able to hide it beneath the caked makeup upon her face, the sound of having to continue forth with this farce had forced whatever strength and determination she held as her motivation to plummet to a dangerous low. Yet, she continued forth, in knowing it was what had to be done for her family, trying to focus on the look of admiration in her father’s eyes as he sat upon a log nearby a few other close guests in the development of his daughter’s wedding. She saw the tears forming behind his hazel eyes and knew the sacrifices he made for her up until this very moment, and this was her way to do so in return-but it did not stop her from thinking of turning quickly upon her heel and running back down the aisle the way she came. As her eyes set upon the man that would be her husband, she couldn’t help but feel slightly aroused at his appearance as he held a nordic ancestry that bled into the man who stood before her at this very moment. His usual long dirty blonde locks had been pulled back and wrapped into a bun while small tendrils escaped its restraints and to his chiseled physique, while his icy blue eyes seemed to stare her down-almost as if trying to intimidate her to keep walking towards him without the desire to turn around. But for her, it did not matter in the way he looked shirtless, as he was a horrible man, known to have gallons of blood on his hands and yet, she was forced to spend the rest of her life trusting a man with such a horrific legend.  As she made her way onto the altar brought together by logs and flowers, she was forced to join hands with her soon-to-be husband, as she could read his sinful thoughts present by a single glance to his devilish smirk and annoyance in having to wait until the honeymoon. She grew sick when thinking of having to give her prized virtue to a vulture such as Maximus-but she could feel the crowd of onlookers waiting for the wedding to be made official so they could carry on with their duties within the clan-brought forward by this marriage. She swallowed her pride upon having to repeat the words spoken by a man of faith, praying over a Bible, and finally drinking from a chalice brought down by the husband’s family. The ceremony was incredibly short with a few celtic songs played on a harp and flute, as Maximus took this as a time to reveal his intentions with his new bride.  “I am going to make you feel like a real woman.” His words may have been arousing if coming from any other man, but all she could bring herself to do was to clench her teeth to save from being seen as ungrateful for the husband others swooned at. When the songs came to a finish, the man of God had set rings on either side of the Bible for Maximus to grab first. Although it was no larger than a nickel, Lavender felt as though the ring had been a shackle-chaining her to a life she didn’t want. When it came time for her to place the ring upon Maximus, she struggled to pass it over his calloused fingers, only succeeding when using the anger she felt in the moment to lock the scene in place. The last notion to be done in regards to binding them together as husband and wife would be for them both to accept each other before their shared friends, individual families, and beneath the sight of God. Lavender had prepared herself for this, working on her expression in the mirror to appear happy, while she was truly fighting the urge to scream for someone to know how painful this had been for her, or someone to understand that she was resisting the urge to cry.  “I vow.” Maximus spoke first, before the attention was forced upon her. This could have been the one moment that could alter the rest of her life, but she knew complying meant it would allow for her to stay cemented in her father’s good graces-as well as those who expected this from her. And so, the words emerged from her lips-shaky and unsure, but spoken. This was all that was needed for them to be bound, and so, they made their way back down the aisle via the sound of harps and chimes, before coming inside of the church set just off center of the woods that they exchanged their promise of forever within. They were due to sign on the dotted line to make it legal among man, and as her fingers shook to sign her name, she found Maximus to do so without issue, as if he had done so a million times before.  “Are we officially wed?” Maximus asked the man draped in ivory and accented in gold, before getting the approval, and pulling Lavender back into the woods. They were to be sent away to enjoy a night of pure bliss, before being forced to return to their duties as husband and wife that next day. As opposed to the wedding of humans, there would be no gifts or well wishes, just adoration from afar, to allow the couple to join together and bask in their first moments as a couple in matrimony. However, as the car began to pull away from the sight of those who offered her solace, her eyes fell onto a figure she had never seen before. He was slightly covered by the shadow of a tree, but the flicker of his brown speckled eyes mixed in with a soft blue had settled within her core-as if she knew this wouldn’t be the last time she would see him. Perhaps it had been this Cinderella-esque mind set that allowed her to endure the moments she knew were imminent for her as a new bride-or perhaps it had reminded her of what could be if she were to be brave enough to break away from Maximus one day.  Maximus stopped the car at the sight of a small cottage in the middle of nowhere. Although it appeared perfectly suited for the inspirational locale for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’ cottage, Lavender couldn’t alter the fear she held in being isolated with Maximus. She knew it would be miles away from anyone who could rescue her if she would need it, but then she also knew what she was signing up for when accepting these circumstances. Even though the outline of the cottage had been guarded with purple and blue lilies and bluebells, it didn’t do anything but remind her of the romantic setting she was about to walk into. The feeling of Maximus’s presence was enough to make her shudder as she grew anxious to the way he would treat her in the following moments. As expected, he had a one track mind, and wouldn’t hesitate until he got what he wanted.  “Come…” He instructed, as if she had been a pet to him. Fearful of his wrath, she complied, only for him to take a deep hold of her hair and force his lips upon her own. She endured the feeling of his unmoistened kiss upon her mouth, but began to taste the marrow of a victim he had taken just before they became wed. The old iron taste that accompanied this had made her appear sickly to him-giving her a small moment in which she could take for herself, as he couldn’t stomach seeing someone hurl. She hid herself away in a back bathroom of the cabin and barricaded the door with a small lock set upon the inside. She knew if it came down to protecting her, that the lock wouldn’t do anything more than aggravate him, but for right now-it acted as a peace of mind. She set her hands beneath the water of the sink, taking relief in the cold nature of its existence before then dabbing it onto her neck and cheeks. For Lavender, everything had transpired so fast, and she had never been consumed with such regret in her life before this moment. With the sight of the perfect ring set on her second finger on her left hand, she could feel the wind sucked away from within her lungs. Lavender thought of what would come of her if she left the bathroom and moved to Maximus-she knew her virtue would be slain and her ability to remarry as a virgin would be impossible unless made true by deceit. She was fearful of losing this, and so she moved her attention to the small window within the bathroom, and climbed her way free from the confines of the cottage. By the time she had made it from the window, her human form became shed to leave her dress behind-torn apart from the way her body transformed from anthropoid to lycan within seconds. The black hair that graced her cranium had now spread across her entire body, as she moved upon all fours, and held a set of enticing gray eyes above a snout and a desire to be free.  The feeling of the ground connecting with her paws along with the wind racing against her fur allowed for more of an orgasmic experience than anything she could have received while below Maximus. Lavender knew she had only a few brief moments until Maximus would come to seek her out and have cause to end her life then and there-but she took in each moment of independence she had left-as she knew they were dwindling. Upon coming to a small river for some water, and to regain control of her breathing, Lavender prepared to make a true plan of action, before she could hear the raging huff of her husband nearby. Acting like a scared pup, she hid behind a nearby tree in hopes of being camouflage from him with her scent mixing in with that of other wildlife. But each second had only made him to move closer and closer to her position. His stride acted as more of a stalk as he enclosed the distance between himself and his prey. Knowing she was out of options, she quickly bolted from her hidden location and focused on the darker portion of the woods-hoping to find fellow wolves to mask her scent-but he was too swift for her to outrun.  His teeth took hold of her tail, pulling her towards him, as she let out a yelp that alerted all wildlife around them. However, the rage seen and sensed coming from Maximus and his lycan side, was enough to keep them all at bay-all except one. Maximus moved until he held Lavender down on her back, making it impossible for her to stand in such a position. She took hold of her control, focusing on what it took to make her human once again, but knew his strength would certainly kill her if she would diffuse her ability to defend herself. Trying to survive this altercation, she let out a summoning howl, that allowed others to know she had been in danger. Knowing what would come of him if he were to be discovered trying to kill another wolf, Maximus began to apply pressure to her neck via his teeth, closing down slowly to take in every aspect of breaking her neck. But just as he penetrated her soft skin, his physique was forced off of her, and a wolf matching her dark coat protected her in this instance before any harm could come to her. He stood over her, his large body concealing her from the wrath of Maximus, who growled to the newcomer. But there was something about this wolf that told him he no longer held jurisdiction to lay down his own law-as the wolf who challenged him had been one bearing an eerie red gaze with sections speckled with brown, seen in this setting to appear black.  Maximus became a coward, bowing to the alpha, before leaving his wife beneath the stance of the man, unaware that she had been knocked unconscious during his attempted protection of her. His lycan form took her in full, seeing how she had transformed back into a human-now bearing scars of the fight that almost claimed her life. Changing into his own human form, he picked up the unconscious newlywed and brought her towards his own safe haven-a location that had been unknown to others aside from those closest to him. When arriving, he brought her within the confines of his own room and dressed while she remained asleep-looking to her every so often to check her breathing, in fear of an internal injury causing impending doom to her fragile life. His eyes fixated on her as he could feel his breath synching into her own. Without having spoken a word to one another, or even knowing the name of the person they had seen; this man knew that Lavender had been his mate-even if she had the scent of another man all over her.  Lavender would awaken to the fresh sunlight beaming down on her face, greeting her along with the morning. Her recently bare body had been covered in a medieval-style white gown that kept her modest from the prying eyes of perverts-yet, the wounds from the night before had allowed her to know that the events she endured had been anything but a dream. Searching for any sign of familiarity, Lavender came upon that as the door came open to reveal a handsome man holding a tray of food in his hands. She was taken aback by just how attractive he had been, as men like him only existed on the cinema screens-not paying interest to her. But as she thought such things, her eyes scanned him in his entirety, noting how he stood a few inches passed six feet, held a steely gaze that made her breath cease, and a chiseled physique that made her thankful to be seated while knowing otherwise she would have collapsed where she stood. His smile had been hidden beneath the dark scruff of a mid-September shadow, as he moved closer to her, setting the food across her lap. The scent of steak and eggs opened up her senses immediately, reminding her that she hadn’t eaten in days just to fit into that damned dress that she hated to begin with.  “You should eat…” He spoke as she hesitated, fearing that perhaps this man had put something into the food. A thought, that read over in her gaze, and made him respond to, as if he had read her mind. “If I wanted to do anything, I would have when you were asleep.” His attempt to break the ice only caused for her to make it thicker, upon fearing that his words reigned true and perhaps that was exactly what he HAD done. But then she made note of the clothing that was present over her body. He leaned into her, sensing she was alarmed of him, and took in the reaction of her breaths growing shallow upon him closing the gap between them. “If I wanted to take your clothes off, I wouldn’t have to ask.” He spoke before taking a bite of the toast she had halfway to her mouth. She gulped, unsure if she was frightened or aroused by him-but something she knew for sure, was that he made her curious.  “I got some clothes for you on the edge of your bed and put your dishes outside the door when you are done…” He spoke, suddenly losing interest in teasing her libido, and focusing on other tasks upon his mind. “I need you downstairs in five minutes...I trust you will not disappoint me?” She nodded, remembering the fact he harbored the role as the “alpha” and acted as a sort of ‘king’ to their species. The minute the door closed, she scarfed down the food before her, nearly moaning at the sweet taste of meat she had forgotten until this moment. The feeling of hunger fading with each bite, she did as requested with a few minutes to spare, gathering in her surroundings, while pulling on a pair of jeans and a buttoned up red shirt that somehow fit perfectly. Carrying the tray outside the door, she parted from the room and found herself upon the inside of a castle made modern with electricity and running water. The sound of rock music could be heard as Lavender’s gaze fell upon the man whom had saved her, waiting for her while looking at his watch. “Perfectly punctual...ladies’ first…” He spoke while extending his arm forward down a set of steps. She found the way before her to be lit with modern light bulbs present without a single speck of dust, allowing her to gain the knowledge of having a butler-or a maid of some kind. But this had been just a momentary thought, as the sudden scent of sour meat hit her oversensitive sense.  “You need to see this…” He spoke in a tone that was instructional instead of childish. There was a sound of an electric saw over a corner, as carcases of cows sat among a room with blood dripping onto the ground. She was able to deduce that whomever was behind the sound of the saw had been some sort of butcher. But as she made her way further into the room per the man’s direction, her eyes came upon the figure of Maximus sprawled out as if on a vertical autopsy table. His intestines fell at his feet as if placed for decoration and his neck had been cut with a small incision to make him bleed out incredibly slow. Although she held a hatred for this man, she became ill upon seeing the sight before her-never able to conjure such a horrible though even in her most angry emotions. As she tried to run free, the man chased after her, and kept her from leaving the room.  “Your actions have consequences...this was one of them.” “You’re a sick bastard!” She cried out to him, heaving towards the ground, before he pinned her shoulders back against the wall.
