Most of the time people live their lives because of someone. Some live because they have to take care of someone, some live because they want to prove people wrong and some live because they believe God has a purpose over their lives.

For me I didn’t know the reason why I was living until I met ‘Him’…. My Jas! My Man! Well he isn’t entirely mine because he belongs to someone else and I want him.

I have never wanted something so much until I met him! Jason Watson.

Sorrow endures for a night
There’s nothing in this world that is sweet and bitter than a forbidden love, It’s a love that you wish you could have, but because of the pain that comes with it, people try to avoid it.  But not for Katelyn Adams, One of the youngest female billionaires in the world. She had everything figured out for her life. Priority was to take care of her sister, run the business they left her in charge, and find more business opportunities. She didn’t know that one day she would fall for a mere Lecturer with a poor family background until when love happened.  She forgot her status and started chasing after him. Kate’s POV “Kate, wake up, we will be late” my sister gently shook me from my slumber. I got the edge of the blanket and pulled it over my head, I had no intention of waking up. “Kate, please…!” Allison pleaded with me. Allison is my younger sister who is only 9 years old.  I wouldn’t call her fat but she’s chubby, a big round face with freckles, long dark hair, and emerald green eyes. I was a skinny 21-year-old with long blonde hair; I dyed it blonde, with green eyes, thick eyebrows, a small round nose, “Ally please just one more minute” I pleaded with her, I felt her presence leave me and I slept even more. I was enjoying my sleep when I felt the chilly breeze hit my skin; I knew she had opened the windows. “Allison Adams!” I yelled on top of my voice as I looked up only to find mother standing with her arms folded and Ally behind her grinning widely. “Mom!” I panicked “Good morning to you too.” She said with a straight face. “Start getting ready, you have only five minutes,” she ordered her voice flat tone. I quickly got up from my bed frowning as I looked at Ally who was smiling as she walked out of the room.  I took a deep breath as the gigantic doors to my room shut in front of me. I groaned, dragging myself to the bathroom. Mum said I only had five minutes, which means I now have three minutes. I quickly brushed my teeth and went to get some clothes to wear I wore a black jean, white shirt, and threw on a black hoodie. I grabbed my vans and put them on. I grabbed my cap and phone making way downstairs; I closed the doors behind me being welcomed by a vast corridor leading to unique rooms I took the left going to the stairs. I had to rush because I am sure my mother was counting how many minutes; I had left. I smiled to myself as the strong cologne of my father hit my nostrils. “Morning Dad!” I smiled to myself rushing to hug him as he groaned acting as if it hurt him. “We should get going and you, young lady better pray there’s no traffic,” she said walking out the door with the stilettos making noise as she stepped out. I looked at my father as he shrugged his shoulders going after my mother. “Kat, here! I packed some food for you.” Rosa our nanny said handing me a box of food and my backpack.  I smiled at her making a way out of the house. I got in the backseat and strapped up. “Why on earth do you treat her like she’s a child? If only you treated her like an adult, maybe she would act like one.” Mom said to dad as she was busy checking her phone, I bet you she trying to check for traffic. See, my mother was a very impatient person who hated to wait. Five minutes to her was like an hour. “Because she’s still a child,” Dad calmly responded “Take Chestnut street, there’s less traffic,” she said, focusing on her phone. “She’s no child! Look at how she’s dressed? Does that even make sense to you?” she spoke like I was invisible. “Will you please stop talking like that? I am sure she will change when the time comes!” father calmly responded looking in the rearview mirror winking at me.  I smiled faintly, looking out the window as I closed my eyes. Mum had a way of ruining a perfect day. “We will drop you off first, then can take Allison to school,” Mom said I never responded but just looked out the window, admiring the beautiful trees as they quickly faded. Sometimes I wished I was not in this family. My mom acts like she regrets having me as her child, but when I think of Dad, I am also grateful. See, I am the firstborn in my family, and my other sibling is Ally, who is about twelve years younger than me. She is cool and all that but can irritate. My mother and father own one of the Biggest hotel groups and other businesses in real estate, I would say we are billionaires but they always insist on us using the same car when dropping us off at school.   Dad pulled over in front of my colleagues and I opened the door without saying bye to my parents as I got out and headed for class. “hey!” Dad shouted behind me, I turned around and he had stepped out of the car. “Take care of yourself and Ally, okay?” he said to me with a smile on his face. I went back to him hugging him, “I love you okay?” he whispered to me and I smiled holding him tight. “I love you too, dad!” I said to him as I inhaled his cologne for the last time. “Bye Kat!” Ally waved at me as waved at her without looking back. I entered the building, rushing to my locker.  “Hey, you? You good?” Paula greeted me as I walked to my class. “Not really? Same old things with mum trying to ruin my day,” I said to her tuning in class. “I am sure you don’t mean that,” She said to me and I raised my eyes brows. I had drama classes in the morning and later just wanted to study. My concentration was on the lecture when I saw the vice-chancellor walked in. She whispered something to the lecturer who looked up at me and signaled for me to go down to them. “Yes?” I questioned as soon as I was close to her. “There’s someone here to see you,” The Vice-chancellor said to me as I nodded my head, Oh! I forgot to measure the lady was a close friend of dad. “Auntie Anne? What are you doing here?” I questioned as I stepped out of the room, I found her pacing around the hallway and stopped immediately she heard my voice. “I came to see you! How are you?” She greeted me and I nodded my head looking at her, her voice sounded broken, and also her eyes they looked all puffy. “Aunt, what’s wrong?” I asked her, and she couldn’t help but pull me in an embrace. “Your mother wants to see you, she’s at the hospital,” She said to me and I gasped holding my mouth ‘What? My mother?” What do you mean? She was fine two hours ago” I asked her and she broke off the hug. “We should hurry!” She said to me as I headed for the door, forgetting about my things. Though during the drive I asked her what happened to my mother, and she was quiet saying I will see when we get to the hospital. I arrived at the hospital and quickly got out of the car when I stood in front of the hospital; I ran as fast as I could to the ICU. “Mum!” I cried, rushing to her side. She had machines connected to her and bruises all over her body. “My Katie” She struggled to say as tears rolled out of my eyes. “Mum what are you doing here? Where’s dad?” I questioned her as tears rolled out of my eyes, “Katie, I want you to listen to me, your father didn’t make it,” She said swallowing hard when she said those words, I felt like it had pierced my heart into with a sharp thing. “I know that I have not been the mother you wanted but I want you to know that I love you very much. Okay?” She said as I whimpered. “Mum…” I cried holding her hands “I want you to promise me you will take care of Ally, she needs you okay? I need you to be strong for her,” She said as I shook my head. “No!” “Yes, your father is never coming back and I don’t think…” She failed to say. “Katie Promise me….” She said holding both my hands as tears rolled out of my eyes. “Okay, I promise…. Mum please just get better” I cried even louder, she pulled me in a hug gently patting my back. “Mum?” I could hear the machine going fast, the sound increasing, “Mum? No!” I cried, moving away from her as she cried. “Mum No!” I shouted crying; I couldn’t believe it. “Mum Please no!” I cried shaking her body hoping that she could wake up but the sound just went flat.  The doctor walked closer to us as she announced the time; I pulled and screamed for my mother to wake up, but all I could hear was my aunt who was trying hard to pull me away from my mum.
