(Narrator) Tessa tossed her long hair over her shoulder as she and Ellie headed into the bar. Ellie squealed in excitement as she held Tessa's pinky in her own, pulling her along through the entrance. The beat of the music could be felt in their bones as their senses were more enhanced than those of the human patrons. They saddled up to the bar. Tessa scanned the emanse of people, watching as so many vibed to music. Ellie pushed a very fruity, delicious looking drink into her hand. "Cheers!" Ellie said, her curly, blonde hair bouncing as she grinned. Their glasses clinked together. "How's the choices look this evening?" Ellie said as she sipped. Ellie was referring to the choices of bachelor's in the bar that the girls could have fun with tonight. Ellie was always more bold and adventurous than Tessa, which is why they were such good friends. Ellie pushed Tessa out of her comfort zone, while Tessa reeled Ellie back into safety. "Some are worth it maybe," Tessa replied. "Mmmh I see my chance, here, put down my drink for me," Ellie said as she disappeared into the crowd towards a man that was nearly twice her height. Tessa rolled her eyes as she placed the glass on the bar beside her. She had a grin on her face. How she envied Ellie's confidence. While Tessa would've given anything to find her true mate and have her happy ending, Ellie wanted nothing to do with a mate. She said settling down sounded boring. Tessa just knew that when Ellie found her fated one, she would fall head over heels just like everyone else though. It was said to be a bond so strong that it brought even the toughest to their knees. That is how her mother had described it to her when she found her father. But Tessa was losing hope. Their pack was far from the neighboring packs so it wasn't often new males came through and they didn't have enough resources to send her to travel. Tessa was lost in her own thoughts when she felt someone bump into her shoulder. It made her jump from the sensation. Not because it was painful, because it gave her a tingle. "So sorry, " said the man who was responsible for the touch. Tessa felt her heart skip a beat when she heard his voice. She looked over to see a man with the most gorgeous grey blue eyes she had ever seen. His dirty blonde hair was swept back but some had fallen slightly to his eye. Tessa grinned shyly. "It's ok," she answered, tucking a stray piece of her auburn hair behind her ear. He leaned on the bar on his elbow and grinned at her. "You wanna dance?" he suggested, extending his hand to her. Tessa felt her stomach do a flip flop. Before she could change her mind, she allowed him to take her by the hand. When his hand enveloped hers, Tessa felt her wolf inside her stir. Was she humming? He took her to a spot on the floor and asked permission to put his hands on her waist, "May I?" Tessa nodded again. She felt her cheeks blush as he smiled at her. He leaned close to her ear, "I'm Rowan." She felt goosebumps as his breath reached her. Her wolf echoed his name in her head with satisfaction. The music was pumping, which usually overwhelmed her, but at this moment all her senses were on the man before her. "Tessa," she replied to him, feeling as if she were yelling due to the music. She allowed her hips to sway, brushing against him. "Have we met before?" Rowan asked, as his hands caressed her hips. "You seem familiar to me." Tessa was tingling with every touch of his hands. "I don't think so," she responded. "I would remember meeting someone as handsome as you." Tessa blushed after she blurted that out. It was unlike her to be this forward. Rowan looked taken a back for a second, but then a cute smirk spread on his face. Tessa loved being close to him. Her wolf was urging her to touch him. What was with her? Her wolf didn't usually comment when she went out to have fun, usually only pestering her to go for a run most days. Tessa gently touched Rowan's face. His breath hitched when her fingers caressed him. They caught each other's eyes. Tessa glanced at Rowan's lips and had the urge to kiss them. Before she could act on it she felt Ellie grab on to her arm, "Who do we have here?" she teased as she eyed Rowan up and down. I shot a glare at my friend, I didn't want her interruption. "Come with me, I need to go to the restroom," Ellie nagged pulling Tessa away from Rowan. I looked back to him quickly, I didn't want to lose him. I felt his fingers lose my hand as Ellie dragged me away. My wolf whined as we lost Rowan in the crowd. "Seriously El," I pouted as she landed in line for the bathroom. "What? We stick together remember?" El responded. When she noticed my pout, a ridiculous grin spread on her face and her brows shot up. "Ooo, did you find someone? He was gorgeous!" she teased. I felt myself smile. "I felt something El, my wolf did" I responded. El shot up an eyebrow. "It's like she was serene with his presence. I've never had my wolf do something like this." Ellie's eyes suddenly got big. "You don't think he's..." "No. I didn't sense a wolf. He's human" I answered, knowing where she was going. El nodded like she understood. While I washed my hands I started to wonder, could my mate possibly be something other than a wolf? As we headed back out to the bar, El helped me search the crowd. She felt bad for interrupting me with Rowan, not knowing I had enjoyed his company. It was impossible to find him in the sea of people. I started to lose hope when a sweet scent filled my nose. I turned around to find Rowan behind me, about to tap me. He pulled his hand back and smiled shyly. My heart gushed with how cute he looked. "I was hoping I'd find you again," he said as he reached for my hand. My wolf practically did a flip upon hearing his words. El grinned at me all giddy as she walked off, giving me a goofy wink. "I was hoping I could get your number," Rowan asked. I wanted to nod emphatically but answered with a casual, "Sure!" He handed me his phone and I sent myself a text so he'd have it. He tucked his phone back into his back pocket then leaned in close, "Shall we finish that dance?" I felt goosebumps in the best way with his lips so close to my ear. I let him lead me to an open spot. Every touch of even his finger tips on my skin lit me up. Before I knew it, we were very close and his lips brushed mine. He pulled back slightly to gauge my reaction. My wolf practically screamed at me to return his kiss. I met his lips with anticipation. Rowan caressed my lower back as he depended the kiss. I felt him playfully tug on my lower lip. My body was shot with pleasurable tingles all over. He pulled back slightly, catching his breath. Before I could think better of it, I took him by the hand and led him to a more secluded spot. I wanted more of him. I had never felt this needy before, but I needed more of Rowan, now.
