Chapter One
*DEAR READERS, THIS BOOK IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING RE-WRITTEN. I APOLOGIZE IF SOME PARTS ARE CONFUSING DURING THIS STAGE. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN* 1. Lunch Time Samantha's P.O.V: When I started walking towards my third class for the day, the morning tea bell had just gone off. I considered skipping my third lesson during our morning tea break but decided against it. I had skipped English the last time (which was last week), and as a result of skipping English, I was summoned to the principal's office. The principal informed me that I was failing terribly and that if I skipped again, I would not be able to graduate and that I would have to retake my senior year. Which is the primary reason for my decision to attend English today. Because I refuse to be the only senior in my high school class who will not be graduating. As I walked down the corridor toward my classroom, the corridor was filled with extremely beautiful, talented, and fit people. Unfortunately for my school, I am not one of them. Because, first and foremost, I am very unfit for an average-weight person and, second, I am not intelligent nor do I possess a talent (or should I say multiple talents). When I first arrived at this high school, the first thing I noticed about this school is that every student appeared to be either aroused or angry, or sometimes a bit of both. I had no idea why, and I certainly wasn't going to ask. However, I do know one thing though: they all sure do obey Marcus's orders. You see; you must obey him whenever he orders you to do something. I'm not sure why, but from what I've heard, if you don't cooperate, you'll be severely punished. That struck me as odd because I had no understanding what that meant, but I went along with the others. Actually, now that I think about it, this entire school seem odd. Anyway, when I walked inside the classroom, I noticed an empty seat towards the back in the middle of the room. After settling into my seat, I began taking the items I would need for this session from my bag before stowing the backpack at my feet. When the teacher took her place at the whiteboard, the students gradually quieted down, while some, including myself, waited patiently. *DEAR READERS, I HAVE UPDATED THE SECTION ABOVE AND WILL UPDATE THE REST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR BEING PATIENT* The class was well on the way when I felt a tap on my shoulder from behind me. I turned my head to find that the tap on my shoulder came from Jessica Marshall. Jessica Marshall is a perfect A student, who happens to be popular and my very close friend. She has long platinum blonde hair with ocean blue eyes to match and her outfit was always on point. Everyone in our school either loved her or adored her. There was no in-between. Even though we were close friends we barely hung out. Especially now because of her new boyfriend, our school hotshot soccer player Ryan Deacon. He is also a popular kid but not many people knew he is also a nerd. "Sam!,' she whispers for only I could hear. Isn't that the boy you like? What was his name... Oh yeah, Marcus" she giggled quietly. Pointing her ocean blue eyes at him. My eyes widen a little just at the sound of his name. Her smile grew bigger. When realising that this was a total surprise to me then it was for her. I swung back around to the front while keeping my head low. Trying to focus hard on the letters on the myth age I was on. 'Just look, he won't notice' I thought to myself. That was easier said than done because my eyes refused to move from the page it was reading. I could feel his eyes on me and it was sending shivers to my core. Suddenly I felt a hard kick under my seat and at that moment I glanced up. Our eyes locked and for some reason, I felt drawn in. I have never seen him up close before but it was like I could see my whole future in his eyes. I was so memorised by his eyes that I didn't even hear Jessica laughing behind me. "I knew it!" she let out. Forcing me to look at her before rolling my eyes. Marcus Black is our school captain, star quarterback player and of course the boy I had been crushing on since I was six years old. I never had the balls to talk to him but I loved the way he smiled from a distance. Yes, creepy old me had been stalking him since I was six watching him silently and admiring his pearly white teeth. Though I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one stalking him. Marcus was also close friends with my brother Julius. Which he probably won't know that because Julius never liked anyone to know we are related and I honestly never knew why. Maybe because I was ugly or something. Even though we sort of look alike. My brother is one big mean grump I would say. We are forever fighting like cats and dogs and we weren't fighting or arguing. We are ignoring each other. I don't think I ever recall us being happy or laughing together and I'm pretty sure it was because of the school slut Sarah Jenkins. Sarah Jenkins is someone everyone feared including me. I knew her too since I was six and over the years she grew stronger. More powerful, than any person I know. One time I saw her throw a bench seat across the hall causing it to shatter to pieces because she lost a game. Since then I do my best to stay away from her, which was difficult because she always finds me and bullies the crap out of me. Julius would always warn me to stay away from Sarah and her pack of monkey's but it was like she could sniff me out from a mile away. He even threatened me to say away from Marcus but what he doesn't know can't hurt right. Plus, It's not like I can and ever will talk to him anyway. Wrong! After giving Jessica daggers I gazed back over to the front and our eyes locked again but only this time I felt this surge of electricity course through my veins. It was like I was stuck in some kind of trance. As he was standing next to Mrs Brown's desk, I smiled back before snapping my eyes back to the writing book I had open. Just staring at a blank page, tapping my pen on my desk. Did that happen? Did he smile at me? I thought to myself. Trying to contain the butterflies fluttering in my belly. Hang on a second. What was Marcus Black doing in my class? I thought to myself again. To my surprise, my name is called. "Miss Thomas, Miss Samantha Thomas" Mrs brown yells. Gathering everyone's attention now. I slammed my eyes shut hoping it was a mistake. That it wasn't me she called. That Marcus isn't here to get me. She called again, only this time she said my name a little louder forcing my eyes to lock with hers. She flicked her eyes between me and Marcus and I began to tremble. As I rose from my chair, slowly making my way to the front all eyes were now on me. A few boys in the classroom begun to make "Ooh you’re in trouble" sounds as I approached her desk slowly. I stood next to Marcus who was standing next to Mrs Brown while Mrs Brown hands back a piece of paper that Marcus had given her. I smile at him awkwardly while tucking a few strands of hair into the back of my ear. He looks and smiles back giving me a wink. My cheeks go red as he pushes the door open with one hand and the other waving me out. "Get it, girl!" I hear Jessica yell as I walk out the door. Rolling my eyes, I head out the door. Why did she have to embarrass me like that I thought to myself? I have never been so close to Marcus before but somehow, I felt a little shy even though I have dreamed of this day. Nerves started to hit me like crazy. As soon as I passed him his scent sparked a little tingle through my veins. He smelled of strawberries and chocolate lynx. Of course, I knew what his deodorant smelled like as Julius had the same spray. I closed my eyes for a second as I walked slowly through the halls waiting on Marcus, trying so hard not to blush. "Hey! wait up!" he calls as I can hear him jog up to me. I couldn't restrain myself, so I let out a little giggle before my face turned bright red. "Ah I'm sorry about that, about my friend" I muttered. He chuckled "It's right I think it's cute" he replies. My smile grew bigger, "So my name is Marcus, what's yours?" he questioned. I was confused as to why he asked me assuming he should remember my name when Mrs Brown called it out. "Ah Sammie, I mean Samantha but Sammie for short" I replied. He giggles "Of course it is, duh. Your teacher called your name". He then slaps his forehead hard. I laughed as I questioned him where exactly am, I going. "Oh yeah, you have to meet Mr Sullivan my coach in his office. Your failing Physical Education?" he questions. I nodded before he asks me why. To be honest I didn't know why. Only that I can't be bothered lately. I loved running track; I could run for miles, but volleyball was my worst nightmare. I hated volleyball. Even though it was easy to hit a ball over the net, my hands were always all over the place and I would miss the ball, or the ball would hit my head. Sarah and her friends would laugh at me when I miss, or it hits my head. Sometimes I hear her call me a fat pig and make oink noises. Though it didn't faze me because I knew I could outrun her any day. Sometimes I call Sarah and her friends pack of wild dogs because that is exactly how I saw them. A pack of wild dogs trying to chase a bone, Marcus's bone. They would follow him everywhere or sometimes Sarah would be flirting with him and he wouldn't notice. "Hey! If you need any help, I'm here to help!" Marcus says as he snapped me out of thought. I giggled "That would have been cool but it's the last day of school and you won't be here next year!". He sighs as he brushes his hand behind his neck. His blue eyes glaring at me as his wavy black hair touches his hands he had placed on his neck. "I can still help you. Hey! you could come over to mine!" he says, forcing me to stop in my tracks. I giggled "I would love to but uh my brother wouldn't like it". "Wait! why wouldn't he like that?' he growls. I shrugged and kept walking. Julius warned me if he ever catches me with Marcus or near his house I would be in big trouble. I feared Julius even though he was my big brother, there was something about him that made me feel small. We continued walking towards Mr Sullivan's office in complete silence before we finally arrived. "Thanks, Marcus" Mr Sullivan says as Marcus hands him back the letter. " Ah Miss Thomas!" he calls as Marcus makes his way out of his office. "What has happened to you, Miss Thomas. You were one of my best students in class what happens?' he questions shaking his head, I shrugged. "As the last day of school, I can't help you at the moment but promise me next year you will do better!" I nodded and smiled as I heard the lunch bell ring. "Alright get out but hey next year!?" he said firmly. I nodded before walking fast out of his office. I quickly tried to pull out my phone to text Fran to buy me a ham roll for lunch at the cafeteria before hitting a solid wall hard. "Ouch!" I whimpered, rubbing my head. "Oh s**t! you all goods?" Marcus questions before lending out his hand to help me up. I begin to blush as I see his solid sweaty rock-hard abs. I nodded and smiled a little. " Ah thanks" I replied as I continued to look at his abs before looking glaring into his eyes. His arms were so muscular, I use to watch him training out on the field every day at lunch but seeing his body up close made me tremble a little. I then hear him giggle "You like what you see young lady" he goes as he reaches down to pick up one of his t-shirts from his bag. I giggled "Geez you're built like a wall, I think I have a concussion after walking into you!". He laughed "Maybe from all this training". I smiled and he smiled back before I got interrupted by a text message from Fran. I read "Hurry up b***h! foods getting cold" with the sleeping emoji. I looked back up at Marcus "Ah sorry cutie, but this little turtle is late for her lunch". He laughed before saying goodbye. I smiled back before running for my life to meet up with my friend under the bleaches. I finally arrive and Fran asks "What the hell took you so long? I was about to feed all the homeless with your lunch". I laughed as I ripped my roll from her hands " Thanks b***h!". I laughed a little harder before taking a bite out of my roll. "Here he comes Sam; your hunk is coming out" Fran calls as she points him out. I blush as I watched him jog out before getting ready to warm up. Suddenly I see his t-shirt come flying off. I'm guessing he knows I’m here as he has never done that before. I started drooling over his 6 pack abs before he turned to show me his back. He had a deeply curved arch in his back, you could see his muscular shoulders and I also spotted a little circle tattoo on his left shoulder. Not long after Marcus taking off his shirt the rest of the boys had taken their shirts off. It started getting a little hot as Fran and I drooled over them all. They were also so ripped but not as ripped as Marcus. Something hit me strangely as I noticed almost all the boys in the team had the same tattoo. About fifteen of them had the same tattoo on their left shoulder. This can't be real can it, maybe they are best friends and decided to get the same tattoo I thought to myself but who does that. We continue to eat out lunch while drooling over the players training.
