It all started with a dare.

Challenged by her fans, Moon Johnson, a world-famous vlogger, had to steal a kiss from the fifth guy who walked out of the elevator. Then came Sun Smith, the genius, cold-blooded Mathematician who caught her eyes with his all-pervading gaze—the fifth guy.

Moon fulfilled the dare and ran away—only to be caught by Sun in the McGregor High School, where she transferred to escape his wrath when they unexpectedly crossed paths. Wait, what? She was supposed to evade his fuming fangs, but why did she fall into his arms and became his slave?

In the solar system, Sun and Moon never met. But in McGregor Senior High School, Sun and Moon will always collide—bark at each other and then…fall in love?

CHAPTER 1 - THE DARE
1 – I playfully winked. Thump sound. 2 – I gave a cutesy finger heart sign. Thump sound. 3 – I threw a kiss! “Helllooooooooooooooo stars! It’s me again, Dare Princess! Whose dare will be completed today? Keep on watching to see who the lucky star is!” I happily gushed in front of the Sony ZV-1 vlogging camera I was holding. I called my fans, “stars” for they made me shine brighter. “And if you want your dare to be picked next, subscribe, click the notification bell and comment down below! Shine bright, my stars!” I continued. I am Moon Johnson, a seventeen-year-old internet superstar. I have almost five million subscribers on YouTube. Almost. But today, that “almost” would be gone. In a few hours, my channel would finally hit five million subscribers! I started vlogging two years ago when I was so bored even to lift a finger to enjoy my summer vacation—at home. Who would even want a summer vacation at home, right? My mom unexpectedly went to Chicago for her fashion show. She wouldn’t let me come with her because it would be a busy week for her, so as she told me. So I had to wait a boring week for her to come home and pick me up for our postponed month-long Hawaii trip, where my grandparents stay. I was already seventeen, yet mom’s still afraid to let me fly alone. She even called my aunt, who also stayed in New York, to babysit me. Imagine my shock and irritation! Urgh. I can’t wait to be eighteen, so I could do everything I wanted to do. Since I was bored at that time, I started filming myself. I loved filming myself and sending crazy videos just to annoy my mom every time she was away. I grabbed my mom’s favorite make up collection, used them—which by the way, my mom’s golden rule—not to touch any of her collections. I was grinning the whole time I was doing my makeup, with the intention of irking my mother more. After putting up a lavish ultra-red matte lippie, I threw a mocking flying kiss. And then, I sent the video to my mom. She was too angry when she saw my vid. Ha-ha! Served her right. Unfortunately, she even made the trouble of creating a YouTube account—named it Dare the Moon— just to get back at me. She posted my home video on social media! I was never a shy girl, but I wasn’t exactly used to posting my face on social media—especially where strangers could see my whole damn face grinning like an i***t! I never spoke to my mom for a week because of what she did. She called every day just to laugh at me. Urgh. Until…I found out that the video she posted gained a million views on YouTube! A lot of comments were even asking when I would post another video. And guess what? They thought that the video was a makeup tutorial. All thanks to our relatives who kept on sharing the video all over their f******k timelines, twitter, and even ** accounts just to support my mom’s bullying me! It was funny how things started to take a 360-degree turn, though.  I asked my mom to give me the details of the YouTube account, and I started making makeup tutorials—and blackmailed her into giving me some of her collections because it was all her fault that my face had been exposed like that. She agreed, so we started talking again. When we finally flew to Hawaii, I spent all summer filming myself doing makeup tutorials and posting them on my channel. I found it fun, especially whenever I receive positive comments and likes. In just a few months, a hefty one million accounts subscribed to my YouTube channel! From that time on, my YouTube career had started. Thanks to my mom’s anger. I was not only famous. I started gaining money from my videos, too!  I already did a lot of things on my channel—from doing makeup tutorials to mukbangs and some chitchat videos giving a glimpse of my own crazy life to my growing YouTube fam-bam. And now, I was in France, Paris, to be exact. The City of Love! Where everything in sight should look like flying glittery hearts. Unluckily, I wasn’t here to feel the icy breeze and lovely scenery of the Eiffel Tower. I was here because my mom needed to attend an international fashion show event. And not only that. I was here to complete a dare. I needed to do something grand to commemorate my next milestone as a vlogger—finally closing the number of my subscribers into five million! I already did grand dares every time I get a million subs. I sang a children’s song at a mall having a three-day sale with thousands of people looking and laughing at me because I looked stupid. I pranked my mom telling her I was pregnant and filmed the whole video where instead of beating me to a pulp, she started crying, so I cried, too. I ate exotic (puked) foods and gave out free lunch to 100 homeless people in New York. So now, I must do something crazier than what I had previously done in the past. I was dared to go to Eiffel Tower, wait for the fifth guy I’d see once I got up there…and kiss him! Oh my gosh, right? Regardless of age, I had to do it! A promise is a promise. That girl with crazyforyou143 as account name was heartless. She wasn’t crazy for me. She was plain crazy! And her crazy dare got the highest number of likes on my previous video—her comment garnered 15 thousand likes! “I need to do it. I need to do it. I really need to do it,” my mind silently told myself. I nervously walked towards the elevator, still holding the camera. I was trying so hard not to shake while going in. I need to film my whole travel way up. “So stars, I am slowly going up. I have to admit, this dare makes me scared. Really scared. You guys know why!” she awkwardly laughed. It would be her first-ever kiss! She blushed at the thought, right in front of the camera. Great. More awkward. “Ha-ha-ha! This is crazy! Can I really do this?” I even asked. A few people started looking at me. Well, who wouldn’t, right? A blushing teenage girl was walking inside an elevator, talking to no one like a real lunatic while nervously laughing in front of a camera. Maybe vlogging isn’t as popular in France as in New York, where I grew up. I heaved a heavy sigh, feeling a bit sick. I was not really fond of heights. It kind of made me feel stuffy. The elevator stopped, the door opened. “We are now on the first level of the tower at roughly 200 feet. I didn’t bother to get off, for someone told me that it’s better to see the first level on my way down.” I showed the beautiful observation platform to the camera for a quick look. Some of the people I am with didn’t get off, too. The door closed and continued its way up. At 400 feet, the elevator stopped again. It’s already 400 feet, stars! Oh my gosh!” I excitedly screamed. “This time, we are on the second level. We all got off the elevator. There isn’t really an elevator that goes up to the top at one ride. So we had to get off and line up for another elevator,” I explained. “If you wanted to come and visit this tower, you need to book your ticket in advance,” I suggested. “There’s a lot of people visiting here, you know.” I flipped the camera again and showed a very long queue of people waiting to board the elevator at the ground level. I skimmed the place and looked for an elevator with a shorter line of people waiting to go up.  I needed to do the dare at 900 feet level—at le sommet, or the third level of the tower where most people go to see the beautiful city of Paris. So I have to be patient. It took me at least fifteen minutes to finally board the elevator going up. As I stepped inside, my heart thumped crazily. My hands started sweating, too! “So, I am on my way up now. Fifteen minutes of waiting just to get on this elevator. That’s how much I love you, stars!” I cooed. “I am very very very nervous. Wish me luck! And please, pray for me and my safety. He might choke me later,” I even joked. Of course, I laughed at my own joke, not minding the funny stares of people around me. Ding. The elevator stopped. Its door opened. “This is it,” I mumbled. “S-shout out to you, crazyforyou143! I think I’d hate you for a week!” I said while getting off the elevator. “I won’t start counting unless I find my spot, okay? I need to find a place where I could gather up my strength to do this crazy stunt. There’s a lot of people here!” I lowered my voice, almost a whisper. My eyes worked fast. I found a safe place now. What is a safe place for me? A place where I could quickly run off to and hide. Gosh, someone might really choke me today. Maybe it wouldn’t even matter even if I dressed prettily today. “I found a spot now,” I said. She looked straight at the elevator. “I might wait for a couple of minutes.” And I did. Ding. When the elevator’s door opened, it felt like my heart was cut open, too. I put my camera up front to film those people getting off. Luckily, it wasn’t an all-male group. A few middle-aged women got off first. They looked like they were on a reunion or something. She bit her lip when the first male who got off was a toddler, who was with his mom. “One down,” I said. The next guy looked like my uncle. I felt like crying. Thank God it was him! The third guy came shortly after the second guy. He looked like he was a college student. “Not bad,” she thought. The fourth guy was super cute! It made her feel worse. She really wished it was him! He looked like her age. He was tall, lean, and gave off a positive vibe. “Dammit, close enough!” I said. The moment of truth. Who would be the fifth guy? She hopefully stared at the elevator. She almost choked when she saw a small, chubby guy with grey hair! He was getting ready to get off the elevator. She gulped. His right foot was almost out of the elevator when a tall guy suddenly got off the elevator, looking impatient and irritated. He glanced at the older man and murmured something I couldn’t comprehend. Maybe he said a quick sorry or whatever. But hey! He wasn’t that bad! He looked even better than the fourth guy! Hallelujah! His brown hair looked so soft that it literally bounces off from the strong wind up there. His eyes looked dead serious and cold. His nose looked sharp. And his lips... Oh wow! I couldn’t take my eyes off `em. “There he is. I already found him. By the way, crazyforyou143, I take back my words. I love you with all my heart!” she laughed. “Pray for me! I’m doing it!” She silently followed the “fifth guy” who was now walking beside the “fourth guy.” Maybe they were friends…or classmates. They looked like my age, thank heavens. “This is it!” I gushed. “It’s now or never.” I didn’t have to think much. I mean, if I did, I think I’d get cold feet and just ran away. So, without thinking, I gave my camera to the lady next to me and said, “Please, can you hold this for me? Do you see that guy?” I pointed at the fifth guy. “He’s my boyfriend. We didn’t see each other for a year. So, I came here to surprise him on our 2nd anniversary. Would that be okay with you?” The lady looked surprised but pleased. “Awww, that’s so sweet of you, honey,” she even said. “Sure, I’ll hold this for you.”  I gave her my camera, and then I ran towards the fifth guy. “All you have to do is to kiss him. That’s all. And then run back to the lady to grab the camera and then ran away. As in ran far far away. Go back to New York and forget about everything that had happened here,” I silently told myself. I stopped right in front of the fifth guy, who looked surprised and apprehensive when I suddenly showed up. “Yes?” he asked, with an arched eyebrow. Damn, even his voice sounded cold. My heart started racing. Could I really do it? I looked at him. My heart thumped harder. I looked at his cold eyes, and I felt my knees wobble. I looked at his lips, and my mind went woohoo. If I wouldn’t do it now, I might never do it, ever. So, I mustered all of my courage and decided to—DO IT. I never said a word, nor looked away. I tiptoed so I could reach the guy’s face, held his super-soft face between my shaky and sweaty hands, and planted a quick kiss on his lips. The softness of his lips against mine made it harder for me to think. His eyes widened in disbelief, and I started shaking. “What have I done?” my mind screamed. “What the hell?” came a voice, Mr. Fourth Guy. His remark woke me up from that bizarre dream. Before the fifth guy could even speak, I pushed him off, and then I ran off as planned. I took my camera back from the lady who was so happy for me. “Thanks! You’re the sweetest,” I said before running off again. This time, to hide from the fifth guy who was furiously cursing me by then. “Come back here, you stupid girl!” he shouted. “Thank you, and I’m so sorry!” I shouted back before finally hiding away from him.
