1- We start at the end

Well, s**t. The author thought it would be fun to start our story at the c****x, but was that really necessary? I mean, the c****x is… A bit too climatic. There are freaking aliens coming at me from all sides. My best friends just died. The man I love got impaled and it seems like everyone around me is dying at an astronomical speed. Did I mention there’s a nuclear bomb about to explode? Yeah, things do not look good. They don’t look good at all but right now I can only focus on trying to keep my head attached to my body. I jump from platform to platform, as the very ground rises up into the sky, the city now completely destroyed with debris flying everywhere. As if that weren’t enough, I have to keep dodging the things that crazy girl keeps throwing at me. “You have to stop!” I shout at her as she floats in the air, her eyes as dark as night and her dark hair flying all around her face. She doesn’t answer, of course, and throws yet another large piece of a building at me. I jump out of the way just in time for it to crash into another building already starting to disintegrate. But let’s not forget about the aliens, shall we? Their red stained faces give out their presence before they can attack and I manage to jump up in the air and watch as they crash against each other. The altered gravity helps and I manage to catch one of the flying debris to avoid falling back into the deadly aliens. I don’t have time for this. I need to get up there. Looking up, I get a clear view of the meteor’s dark form up in the night sky. The atmosphere is also already starting to change due to its presence and I have to admit the radiation is starting to affect me too. But I can’t stop now. For everyone who died to get me this far. For everyone I loved, I need to do this. Clenching my teeth as I predict the horrible pain I am about to endure, I jump to another flying debris and keep jumping like a squirrel through branches, getting closer and closer to the meteor. A flash of dark energy nearly hits me coming from the meteor and I look up to see her next to it, draining even more energy and allowing more radiation to leak into our world. “Stop it!” I shout at her but it’s no use. She will never listen to me, not after what I did. All I can do now is end this and destroy the meteor. I try to get closer to the meteor but she comes crashing at me, this time deciding that throwing rocks at me isn’t enough. Our bodies collide in the air as I try to jump away from her and she uses her dark energy to send a shot of horrible pain through my body, as we both plummet into a flying platform and roll on the floor. I shout in agony but clench my teeth again. I have to control the pain. I can’t fail. I can’t let everyone die in vain. Grabbing her arms, I kick her stomach as hard as I can and this seems to immobilize her long enough for me to get away. I jump again, the horrible pain of the intense radiation eating away at my skin. I yell in both pain and determination as I jump to reach the meteor. I manage to get to a platform close enough and am about to reach out to touch it. However, as soon as I touch it, I feel an intense pain coming from my stomach. As I look down, I realize I have been stabbed by her sharpened cane. Blood spurts out of my mouth and I start to fall towards the meteor. The darkness of the rock molds around me and engulfs me completely. I’m sorry, everyone… I failed…
